Does what it’s supposed to do. While there is a slight delay when switching songs, the pro of not needing to have it plugged in does outweigh that con. I have also experienced an issue in which the screen does not properly load. Not sure why it does it, but when resetting it works as normal.

I love this thing and automatically connects when I turn the car on one thing as a tip is make sure to secure it to something as you don’t want it bouncing around that interrupts the Bluetooth connection

I am using this on my 2023 Volvo XC60. At first it was very good. Connected each time and worked as expected. After a few weeks, I noticed, it would not connect after being away from the car a few hours. The only way to achieve the connection was to unplug it for a few minutes- defeats the whole purpose ! When it works, it works well. Wish I could figure out the problem.

Disabled steering wheel controls and center console controls. Could not change volume from any controls, even the iPhone. Troubleshooting did not evolve. Vehicle was 2023 Lexus IS350.

It actually does work so that my iPhone will connect wireless to my 2019 Rav 4. I was having to plug it in in order for my Apple or Google maps to show up on my built in screen.

Ok product. Was using it to DoorDash but when I would get in and out of the vehicle, periodically it would disconnect and I would have to unplug and plug it back in to reconnect. Sometimes I would have to reset in the settings to get it to talk to the system.

The adapter worked perfectly with my iPhone and Infortainment System in my Nissan Altima so, I bought another one for my wife’s vehicle. This is the best product I have ever owned and invested in. Some reviews are negative, but I have owned my first adapter for about 2 months now without any problems. I Love not having to plug and unplug my iPhone every time I get in and out of my vehicle.

Bought for a Ford Puma 2023 ST Line and it works great. My iPhone connects automatically in about 6-7 seconds with no issues at all.

So i have a 2021 highlander. It works fine but not like you would want it too. Yes it mirrors apple carplay but there is a lag. My big problem with it is that it doesnt let me use my steering wheel controls. It lets me change my songs but im not able to use the volume controls. So yea it works but not the way you would want to.

Very impressed with this unit. Have it on a 2023 4Runner and it connects in about 5-10 seconds after car starts. Had very few connection issues, always fixed by unplugging and plugging back in. No lag on screen, audio is delayed very similar to Bluetooth audio connection. All steering wheel buttons function properly

It was nice to be able to have carplay without plug in carplay. The down fall was that it sometimes blacks out the screen and its also glitched my screen bad enough to cause temporary screen tearing. Definitely has its bugs. It works, with some cons

It’s fine – when it works, but the inconsistent connectivity you’ll hate.
I have a 2021 Kia Telluride and, I get out of the car on a call and lock the doors and quickly realize that it reconnected to the car – but the car is turned off. Then, I can’t walk past the car in the garage and it reconnects while I’m on a call.
I’m an inconvenience guy. I’d rather pay the dealer for a new system than to have to unplug this every time I get out of the car.

It connected but you couldnt change the volume from the steering wheel, dash, or on the phone. The volume was set to whatever level it was last on when you plugged uour phone directly into carplay. Tried to use it in my 2023 Camry. Returned it the next day.

I’m someone who is smart enough to know that customer reviews are not trustworthy, yet I always read them and they do sway me, so I figure why not start doing it, too. I give this 5 stars even though it is not perfect. I read another review that talked about how sensitive the wired connection to the device is, and they were right. Don’t not mount this anywhere you may come in contact with the cord it’s connected to, it will restart most of the time. Also, maybe because it’s winter now, but it does take up to 15-20 seconds sometimes to pair with my phone. I don’t personally care about that, but you may. Other than that, it’s easy to use, small, and works well so far. Had it a month – 6 weeks or so. No issues. I didn’t think I’d care that much about wireless, just kind of wanted the option, but it’s so much more convenient.

Was having trouble with my ‘22 Honda CR-V with a wired connection and olugged this in to see if it would solve some of the isues. It solved one but created several more. Steering wheel controls dont work and anything involving voice controls are useless. Using it for navigation and music works reasonably well.

One potential tripping point to be aware of: if you have already established a Bluetooth connection between your vehicle and your phone, that Bluetooth connection may be prioritized and bump the new connection to the ottocast offline. If that happens, your music won’t stream. The fix? Find your Bluetooth connection to your vehicle on your phone and choose the “forget this device” option. Problem solved.

I read various reviews online that were mostly good so I took a chance. The setup is very simple and takes less than a minute. The unit is small enough to attach to the top inside of my storage in front of the shifter in my 2020 Chevy TRAX. I had wired carplay and always needed to keep my iPhone 12 mini charged. I now have the iPhone 15 Pro Max with 2-3 days of battery so no need for cables. It takes about 10 seconds once the car is started to fully connect and i don’t have to touch anything, it just appears onscreen and picks up on whatever song was playing. I have not had any lag and all steering wheel and screen controls work without a hitch. I saw cheaper versions that looked close online but almost all had pretty bad reviews. Idk about any other makes but it’s well worth the price for a Chevy TRAX.

Love this and it’s fairly easy to use but was glad I looked up tips from other people—made setup easier. However the stupid vent holder isn’t great and it falls off easily. Otherwise, Ive only had a couple of times where it didn’t connect and just unplugged and plugged in again.

Setup is pretty quick and easy. Works pretty well. As soon as the vehicle is turned on, it automatically connects to the last connected iPhone. I’d though say, the connection experience with multiple devices is not as seamless as I had expected it to be. For example, if its connected to two different iPhones then even if the person whose mobile was not connected last time steps into the car first, it connects to the last connected phone. Switching between two iPhones is a bit difficult. Its also sometime confusing because you go to iPhone’s Bluetooth setting and click connect and it shows as Not Connected while its connected.
