    After purchasing it, I realized that it was not the same type of filter that came with the device however it fitted fine. In order to buy the original filter that came with the device go to Winix website to purchase it.

    They seem to look dirty pretty quickly! Because of this it’s hard to determine by eye when they may need to be replaced, so I vacuum each piece and rinse the coal filter in the tub allowing it to air dry, like every 3 months. I usually replace them every 6 months although the change indicator didn’t come on for like a year the first time… The cleaning may have helped? I can tell that my air is fresher for sure though.

    This filter des not fit my unit. Not sure why this was listed for the 5500 when what arrived definitely does not fit. I am appalled with at the condition this item arrived in. There is another review from years ago and theirs arrived in the same condition. Horrible experience and I will not be ordering anything like this from BB again.

    Perfect replacement for the Winix unit I have at home. Do not buy the generic ones from Amazon. They either do not fit correctly and/or you don’t know what filter material really is. This one is the original brand and equipment.

    Works great for my Winix. A little pricy but I guess I’m paying for quality. Make sure you have unit in a location where it’s needed most. Turn off when gone to save the filter. Check monthly or unit will fail. Works great.

    Works with my Winix 5500-2. Dispite the box not saying anything about 5500-2, this filter set does work with mine just as well as the original stock filter H set did. Good to get when on sale.

    These filters work but they do not allow the device to use the same filters when you put them in. I had to completely remove the charcoal filter to be able to use them. I’m not sure why they don’t make one identical to what it came with. It seems to work the same but I wanted to put the charcoal filter back in but couldn’t

    Winix replacement filters are exactly the same as the filters that came with unit. They do an excellent job of filtering the air and only need replacement once a year.
    Great price on Best Buy on line.

    These are filters and they filter. Really is not much more to add. They seem to work fine and I haven’t had any issues with them. I would recommend it.

    The winix filters work very well at removing dust and smells. The little ribbon tab makes these so easy to change. I buy the name brand ones instead of a knock off, and I trust best buy to provide the real thing.
