the mic sounds great, the software is great and the price is pretty good for what you get

  2. Procaster3000

Excellent on streamyards when you tweaked the settings

  3. Eason

good product with fast shipping. i think it is better than seiren x.

  4. slickDnick

This mic is really great. Probably the best usb mic you can buy. I use it for teams meetings all the time and if you put it on a mic arm it cancels out the sound of my loud mechanical keyboard.

  5. RCBuyingEverything

WAY TOO SMALL AND NOT STRONG AT ALL, RAZER DID A BIG NO NO ON THIS LITTLE MIC

  6. tonysmom

this was very cheaply made, and i returned it right after unboxing and installing it on my computer. not surprising since this brand is not known for making microphones. they should stick to what they’re good at.

  7. Nerdyjock

I had the Razer Serien X for years, loved it, so I decided to upgrade to the latest model.
    … this was utterly disappointing.
It does NOT filter out high pass. I tried everything. The sound is high pitched and hissy, the sound that comes through filtered out the LOWS, not the highs.
It has decent audio when compared to cheap microphones, but the 79.99 Seiren X is way, WAY better than this. Don’t buy this, it’s overpriced, go buy the Seiren X.

  8. alex

So far seems good, the software takes some getting used to and the continuous scroll adjusters on the mic are a bit of a trip at first as we are used to a start and stop, these just rotate.

I’ve had multiple compliments on my audio quality since I bought the microphone, and it’s extremely easy to use with the Razer Synapse desktop app. Quite literally a plug and play, quality piece of equipment I now own.

I will start out by saying that I went to college for Radio and TV Broadcasting and I spent many years as a on air DJ at a local radio station. I have used a TON of microphones, and my standards might be a bit higher than the average user.
Out of the box I can tell this is a well-built microphone. It doesn’t feel cheap at all.
It comes with a small stand, fairly long USB-C cable, and a windscreen.
I use other Razer products on my computer, so as soon as I plugged this one in, it automatically launched the Razer Synapse program and installed the microphone for me. After a quick restart, I was ready to go. In the app there are a few functions you can adjust like the volume of the microphone and headphones as well as a high pass filter and selecting the audio quality. There are also 2 knobs on top of the microphone for adjusting the mic and headphone levels as well as a mute button.
For testing I just used the Synapse app to hear what the microphone sounds like without any processing.
I found with the high pass filter on, it sounded extremely tinny. I can’t imagine ever using the mic that way, it sounded horrible! When I turned off the high pass filter, it sounded much better. I have a very deep and bassy kind of voice and found that this mic had good highs and mids but was lacking a bit on the low end. My voice definitely didn’t sound as full as it does with other professional broadcast microphones. This microphone also definitely has a very small sweet spot. You don’t want to have it parallel with your face talking into the side of it, and you don’t want to talk directly into the top of it. It needs to be on a slight angle and you have to have your mouth fairly close to it. I would say within 2-4 inches to get the best sound out of it. Any movement out of that range is noticeable. It did a fairly good job of blocking out background noises. I didn’t hear any noises in my few test recordings I did.
One small gripe I have is the UBC-C connector port on the mic. It is a recessed port and there is a very small hole to put the cable in. I tried using a few other USB-C cords I had around the house and had a very hard time jamming some of them in there because the slot was so tight. Just something to think of.

Overall, I would say this is a good budget microphone for doing podcasts and YouTube videos and things like that. It will easily work great for those purposes. It might be a bit of a stretch to call it professional or a broadcast microphone. But if you are on a tight budget and need a microphone for podcasts and things. This is definitely a solid microphone in its price range, so I would recommend it if you fall into that category. If you are doing professional broadcasting or voiceover work, you will definitely want something a little higher end.

So far, I have been enjoying using this mic. It is great if you have a noisy room setting. You can turn it down and for the most part get rid of a lot of the noise. However, you will then have to have the mic right up against your mouth. That is not to say it will eliminate all noise. But compared to a condenser mic, it just a lot better job.

I use an arm boom so I can bring it right up to my mouth and talk to the end. I have used it with OBS, and VMIX and both recognized the mic. I have also used it with voicemeter with no issues as well. The clarity of the mice is great and better the closer to the mic you are. Plug into the mic is a USB C but the provided cord only allows you to plug in one way.

I like that they provide you with a mic cover. And I like the all black color theme. The provided desk stand is the best one that I have used so far. Still picks up some noise when hit keys or desk but not nearly as much as other mics I have used.

The software is basic and really does not add much. You can control how loud you want the playback to be and were to send it too. as well as the gain. but that is pretty much it.

The cord is braided and pretty long so that is nice.

Some things I would have loved to see. Options to change your voice. Or to add effects to your voice.

The software, its basic but it also is glitchy. I will go to adjust something, and it will freeze up for a couple seconds then work for a little and if I make another change, freeze up again. etc. etc.

Would have like to have seen an adaptor for the thread to screw onto a mic boom. I had one from my other mic that I used but it would have been nice to see one provided. I also notice that it does pick up if I hit the mic boom.

Overall, a great sounding mic. Great if you are a streamer, or just enjoy gaming with your friends, this is a great mic. Not only great when I stream, but when I am not streaming, it replaces my headset mic for talking to my friends in game. They all noticed right away that I got a new mic, and they said the clarity, and my voice just sounded way better. And a lot of the background noise was not there that is normally there with my other stream mic or my headset mic.

The Razer – Seiren V2 Pro Professional-grade USB Microphone is a professional quality microphone that can duplicate studio quality performance. It can pick up audio sounds from a great distance or I can use the Gain control knob to reduce any background noise. The Razer – Seiren V2 Pro Professional-grade USB Microphone should be the first choice, when needing a professional sounding microphone. It performs just as a higher cost microphone does without straining finances. Peoples’ voices are picked up from any area within the room and sounds as though the person is speaking right in front of the microphone. Multiple people speaking at the same time can be heard clearly without any distortion. The downloading of Razer Gaming software opens up a variety of features that can customize the output of the microphones sound. Razer gaming software was enabled after the Razer – Seiren V2 Pro Professional-grade USB Microphone was plugged into my computers USB port. I was given the option of installing Razer Synapse which is a unified hardware configuration tool for rebinding controls, assigning macros or personalizing the lighting. Also, I was offered Razer Cortex for optimizing my systems full potential. It has a microphone volume control, gain control, mute button and headphone input. The appearance is that of a professional studio microphone you might find used in a radio station. The base is extremely heavy enough to secure the Razer – Seiren V2 Pro Professional-grade USB Microphone. My amateurish sounding voice was processed by the Razer – Seiren V2 Pro Professional-grade USB Microphone and was changed into a more professional news anchor sounding voice. The Razer – Seiren V2 Pro Professional-grade USB Microphone is a great versatile starter microphone for a professional online voice.

  13. MoniMouse

Razer products have never disappointed me, and this Razer Seiren v2 Pro is no exception. This is the best microphone I have ever used. The people that I game with all say that there is no breaking up, no background noise, no popping or cracking, no static, no loud burst of noise. They all said that my voice sounded clear and balanced. The video that I made had great voice quality too. Outside of streaming during gameplay and making a video, the other things I have done with the microphone are a zoom meeting, in which the participants all agreed that my voice was full of clarity and there was no feedback whatsoever. I also did a video chat with someone and that went well too. As far as the features of the microphone, I have no complaints at all. The stand is solid and heavy enough to withstand a bump or two. The volume and gain have a knob to turn, which I love. The mute button has a red light that comes on, and when it’s not muted there is a bright green light that lights up. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack in the back that allows you to hear your own voice, which is cool. It comes with a microphone windsock that helps to dampen noise. It has a built in shock absorber too. It is a dynamic microphone. It has a high pass filter to block out unwanted noise, and I must say it works well. The cord is USB-C to USB-A, and it’s 6ft long. I’d highly recommend this microphone.

The Razer Seiren V2 Pro, as I wrote in the title, is a great performing microphone in a very small form factor. Over the past week, I’ve been testing the Seiren V2 Pro out against my Blue Yeti microphone and have been blown away by the performance that I’ve been able to get out of this thing. Just look at the size difference between them.
To start, I was very surprised by how nice the packaging/presentation of the Seiren V2 Pro was; coming in a nice looking box, with a little note from Razer’s Co-Founder and CEO, user manual, and of course Razer stickers. The microphone itself was placed inside layered foam cutouts, which seemed to be of nice quality. Underneath the foam is a box which contained the cable, which was braided and very long, and a pop filter (an addition that I wasn’t expecting). During my testing, I found that the Razer Seiren V2 Pro was able to come very very close (like 95%) to the sound quality of the Blue Yeti, while also being able to cut out a large amount of background noise. I found the sound quality of the Blue Yeti to be just a little more crisp, but it also picked up a great amount of background noise, such as fans and other things. When testing the Seiren V2 Pro out with friends in discord, they were unable to hear me using my keyboard, something that they almost always talk about being able to hear with my Blue Yeti and when switching back and forth between the microphones while in the call, my friends were unable to notice any differences in the overall sound from either microphone. Both microphones share features such as a mute button and volume and gain knobs. The only thing that the Blue Yeti has that the Seiren V2 Pro doesn’t have is the knob for directional controls/patterns (cardioid, bidirectional, omnidirectional, and stereo), which in my situation, I don’t really use much anyway (I set it to the one pattern that worked best for me and left it there). If you are looking for something that will give you great voice quality while gaming or streaming, than the Razer Seiren V2 Pro is a great option and I highly recommend it. However, If you are looking to start a podcast and are looking for something that could pick up multiple voices in a room well, then I may look for a different microphone. To anyone with a headset looking to get a dedicated microphone, this is a very great option and will be much better than the majority of headset mics out there, if not all.
After this past week, I am very strongly considering using the Seiren V2 Pro as my main microphone from here on. I tend to deal with a lot of background noise, so being able to have basically the same level of voice quality while also blocking out a majority of my background noise is a major plus in my book.

I hav a little bit of experience when it comes to microphone, I currently still own my 4 year old Blue Yeti microphone, and now having this razer is time for an upgrade! first impressions razer always does an amazing job when it comes to packaging and this razer seiren v2 pro looks beautiful, the matted color and the the razer print is just about right, you have the mic button, volume and gain nob at front, at the back it even have a microphone plug so I can monitor my sound quality and USB C plug for powering the mic, the USB C plug looks like it will only work for this mike considering it has a special shape to match the body of razer seiren v2. cord is also latest braided cord Razer currently offer and I love em, it’s light weight soft and it’s just a nice well made cables. if you ever own Blue yeti this razer seiren v2 is a lot smaller after comparing to my older mic, and It also feels lighter. audio quality is very good, tested with my friend while playing Apex and Overwatch 2. it is a dynamic mic, you do have to speak on the top of it to get the most of the voice clarity, what i’ve notice is to also have it close or you’ll sound pretty low from my experience. this from using out of the box setting. but you also have razer synapse so software to adjust this microphone, but when it comes to using this while streaming I do all my adjustments using streamlab.

im not a mic pro but by any means i’m just a regular gamer guy who enjoys great sounding quality audio, and razer seiren v2 exceeded my expectations, I was surprised the lack of rgb, I honestly thought it will be some kind of light adjustments of such, but nope it’s very muted design and I’m glad they decided to go with this look, I don’t think everything should have rgb, definitely gives the mic a more mature look.
i’m a happy customer razer seiren v2 will be my main microphone from now on, my fiancé can now have my older yeti, I am been getting a good amount of razer lately so having this will fit the theme of my gaming setup.

The Razer Seiren V2 Pro microphone is exactly what I was looking for to produce crisp professional sound for my You Tube videos. I use a Mac and this device worked perfectly with it. The built in microphone is OK on the Mac but I was looking for something to give me a professional sound and the Razer Seiren V2 Pro is it. The microphone comes with a usb cable. On the microphone end, it uses USB C and on the end you plug into computer, it has a USB A connection. Additionally the microphone comes with a foam cover to block wind noise. The microphone has a mute button and volume and gain dials. Additionally, there is a jack for earphones. The only down side for me is the USB A connection to the computer. My mac would not recognize it when I plugged it into a dock. Given my mac has no USB A connections, I had to use a USB A to USB C adapter to get this to work. I wish they simply used USB C or provided the adapter. I didn’t take any stars away because the product does not claim to have this adapter. Other than that small issue, I like everything else about this microphone. It provides superb sound to any recording you make!

This is my first dedicated “studio” microphone so I was excited to try this out. Generally, my video content I create needs portable audio solutions out in the field such as on-camera mics or lavalier mics but sometimes I find myself wanting something more professional for voice overs or communicating with others about projects. The Razer Seiren V2 Pro has been a fantastic starting point for my needs.

    In the Box:

    – Microphone w/stand
    – USB-A to USB-C Cable
    – Foam Windscreen

    Setup/Usage:

Taking the microphone out of the box I could tell this didn’t feel like a super cheap microphone. It had substance which is great when you don’t have experience with a particular brand before. Using the USB cable to plug the mic in worked well because the cable is fairly long so it should reach a desktop on the ground while the mic is up on a desk. The program used to monitor this audio and settings is called Razer Synapse. This is a basic program that allows you to adjust settings such as volume of the microphone, headphones, high pass filter, and selecting audio quality. Adjustments on the mic itself are two knobs for adjusting the mic and headphone levels and a mute button.

After getting everything setup, I tested the mic through the software just to hear what positions and such sounded best. I found the position mattered a lot as to where one could position their mouth in relation to the mic. You also need to be fairly close in most instances for good volume and clarity. Typically, I found keeping it within 2-5 inches of my mouth worked best at a slight angle. I was impressed that it blocked out many background noises that may have been picked up by many other mics out there. OF course this will vary as to what setting you have the mic set to, the volume of your voice, and the environment but it did a good job in most cases.

Overall, as a videographer who doesn’t generally need a dedicated mic in a studio setting, I have found the Razer Seiren V2 Pro a useful tool to have. This mic is geared towards gamers/streamers/podcasters who voice over their content all the time. This may be something I will get into more in the future now that I have a decent microphone but as of now I have found this a handy tool for voicing over content in post that may need more clarification or just to add a few clips here and there. I would highly recommend it for beginners who want a budget microphone for podcasts, streaming, or other video content.

  18. ElectronicJunkie

I have used a very expensive mic for streaming since 2017 and wanted to compare my XLR 3 pin setup that runs through a midi convertor against a USB mic. When asked to review the Razer Seiren V2 Pro, the first thing I checked was if it was USB, I wanted this so I can possibly remove the midi controller. Well, guess what, the midi is disconnected and the Razer Seiren V2 is now my main source of recording sound for my stream with my wife.

Together, my wife and I stream us gaming and just talking about life and the world news, things we see or people we talk too and we have fun. The setup she uses is another brand as well that is a 3.5mm mic and hers always sounds great but again, we have to use an adapter cable and straight USB would make using OBS that much easier.

After the easy setup through the Razer software, connecting it to OBS was super simple and worked right away without an issue. After a one hour stream, we went back through and listened for any feedback, outside noise, muffling, and just straight quality checks. I can honestly say the sound is great and can easily be adjusted as well. There is an adjustable gain on the mic and I found for my deep and loud voice I was able to run it low, about 25% and my voice sounds natural and not overpowered at all.

With my wife 5 feet from me, there was also zero mic feedback between us and no cross sound, this was a huge benefit and I loved that this worked the way it did. Now, I do have to bring up the sound was much better the 2nd time around for noise cancelling when I put the mic on the mic boom and was able to put the mic closer to my face rather than sit on the desk. I really believe the mic sitting on the desk even with the vibration resistant bottom still picks up vibrations and sound reflecting from the desk surface. If you want the upmost professional sound, put it on a mic boom are, mine was about $65 from Best Buy.

The High Pass filter does work, the low hum of the van in the background is no longer heard through the Razer Seiren V2 but you can through my wife’s, so we will be updating hers as well. The Mic also has a built in mute button if you do not have a quick key setup but I use a quick key through OBS so it is not used for myself but it is there.

I am very happy with this Mic, the sound is clear, not as good as my expensive mic but because of the noise cancellation alone, I will be using the Razer Seiren V2 Pro as my daily mic going forward because the sound difference to 99% of the listeners will not tell a difference in my voice but will have a better listening experience without the unwanted background noises.

I recommend you or anyone try this mic before buying an expensive Midi setup mic for streaming.

  19. EXWOLF

When it comes to computer accessories, I tend to lean towards Razer products. They have great keyboards, mice, headsets, and now a great microphone! I am constantly on the computer whether it’s for work or gaming and this microphone serves me two separate ways.

With some adjustments, you can use this microphone for zoom meetings or voip calls in the office but it primarily serves as a streaming or recording microphone. It does really well at blocking out the noise in your environment to only capture your voice. The optimal position for one person recording on the microphone is direct on top of it. The smallest separation possible really captures vocals in a very clear and crisp way. You can record 2 people at once but it would take a bit of tinkering to get the gain and distance right.

Since this is a Razer product, it comes with its own software where there are more features available including the high pass filter. You have to download Razer synapse for this but it’s worth it if you want to cancel out as much as the computer noise and humming as possible since this feature cancels out those low frequencies to make it inaudible.

Overall, this microphone is perfect for all my recording/streaming needs. It’s simple to set up, has great outside noise cancelation, looks cool and sleek, and captures vocals with crystal clear clarity.

  20. Abhaxus

The Razer Seiren V2 Pro is almost the prototypical Razer product in my eyes: it’s well made, easy to use features, solid performance, and is tied to Razer Synapse to get the most use out of it. The Seiren V2 Pro has some really nice features for a streaming mic – it’s got a yoke built in which is easy to attach to either the included base or to a boom arm, and the base has a nice dense cell foam pad to absorb desktop vibrations. The Seiren has a really understated design that doesn’t scream GAMER but still fits with a modern gaming setup.

Things I loved about the Seiren V2 Pro: I love the design. It looks classy and can fit in with all but the most colorful gaming setups. Being able to attach the yoke directly to my boom arm gives another point of articulation to my setup and helps me get the mic aimed properly to reduce keystroke noises. Sound quality is very good to my ear. It’s got a very warm sound that doesn’t suffer from much sibilance. I have a pop filter and have tried the Seiren both with and without (and with and without the included foam sock) and I didn’t notice much difference, so the design of the mic appears to be pretty good for minimizing these issues. I also like the design of the USB-C cable – Razer has molded the connection into the mic itself to reduce strain as you move the mic around. Considering I’ve had one USB mic that was damaged from being moved while plugged in, I think this is a nice touch. I tried it with a regular USB-C cable from another brand and it worked fine, so if you lose the Razer cable it’s not the end of the world.

Things I didn’t like: Not much to find fault with, but if you don’t already have Razer Synapse 3 on your PC, be prepared for a lot of bloat just to use all the features of the Seiren V2 Pro. Razer isn’t alone in this, but all of these gaming brands are pushing these huge all-encompassing software packages that are great if you are already in their ecosystem, but a pain if you just want one product. For me, I have a few Razer accessories, so no big deal. Next thing you know I’ll have to have Synapse for some reature of my Razer Iskur chair 🙂

  21. Chris

I was a bit skeptical of the professional-grade label that Razer placed on their Siren V2 microphone, but after using it for a few hours they have me sold. It’s a great looking microphone, that won’t stick out or look tacky in a Zoom meeting, and has surprisingly great sound quality. It was super easy to get up and running, just plug the USB cord into the microphone, plug the other end into the computer, hit the power button and select it from the input choices in the sound setting menu of the computer. I fired up Audacity, plugged in my headphones into the microphone, and adjusted the gain setting for the microphone and the volume level for the headphones. I recorded a bunch of tracks and played them back as I changed the gain level, and tried different microphone placements to see what sounded the best. The sound out of this microphone is really clean, and very neutral. I didn’t notice any harshness, or sibilance, and it wasn’t muddy or boomy either. It still sounded pretty good when I got really close to test the proximity effect. It’s super sensitive too… it was picking up the sounds of the refrigerator from the other room with no problem even with the gain cut way back. I would recommend using a noise gate to take out the little bit of background noise it pics up. I didn’t notice any issues with plosives, and using the included clown nose pop filter made plosive rejection even better without muddying up the sound or making it overly dark. Overall the sound quality is great for this price point, especially for a USB microphone without any interface. The only gripe I have is the build quality is lacking. The included microphone stand has a pad on the bottom that is not flat, so the microphone wobbles around. The handling noise rejection is completely non existent… if I touch the microphone, or any of the cables by accident the mic picks up that noise loudly. The body of the microphone rings like a bell if tapped, and the knobs for adjusting the gain and headphone volume are very loose and wiggle around in their holes. But all that aside, as an actual microphone, it works great, and as long as you don’t need to hand hold it I can easily recommend this for anyone looking for a good sounding microphone on a small budget.

  22. BeingHonest

    Pro:
-Good sounding mic out of the box
    -Mid-high range sounds full
    -Streaming mix

    Con:
    -Synapse can be buggy

Having gone through a few USB and XLR mics, I can say that this mic lands about the same as other brands in this price range. It sounds good and clear, but it picks up more background noise than other dynamic mics I’ve owned. Synapse, when it’s working, can route audio for a streaming mix and monitor mix. It’s still not as good as other software from competitors. Even though it works out of the box without Synapse, if you want better software to mix your stream audio, I would go with another brand.

    The Mic
The mic seems well made and doesn’t feel too light. It comes with a wind guard and a sturdy swivel stand. The knobs on the mic spin endlessly without any stops so it’s difficult to know what the volume is without looking in Synapse.

It’s plug and play and can be used right out of the box without needing to install Synapse. The sound is good, but is lacking in the lower range. It sounds about the same as any other USB mic in this price range. Even though it’s a dynamic mic, it picks up just about every background noise from far away. Its noise rejection from the back isn’t that good. Speaking directly from behind the mic, it’s still pretty clear and audible, only reducing about half the volume from the front.

    Synapse Software
I had mixed results with Synapse. You can adjust the gain and monitor level on the mic, as well as increasing the sample rate. You can toggle high-pass filter and auto gain limiter, but neither of them worked that well. When it works, it’s able to create virtual inputs and route audio sources through a single control point like a physical mixer. You can then mix those audio levels and output them as a single Stream Mix to OBS, while having a monitor mix to hear independently from the stream audio. It still doesn’t have as many features as competitors such as being able to add EQ, Noise Suppression, or Compressor. So if you output the stream audio to OBS, you won’t be able to fine tune the audio per channel.

However, on one of the Windows 11 PCs I tried it on, Synapse was a mess. It would crash whenever a setting was changed, the Stream Mix is toggled on/off, or if I unplugged the mic. I also couldn’t monitor the mic through its headphone jack if the streaming mix is routing audio through it. This made it unusable. This may be due to the latest version of WIndows 11 which the other PCs are not on.

  23. David

The Razer Seiren mic is a great microphone for streaming, or really any use you may have for a mic. The mic comes with a small stand, a usb cord, mic sock, and the mic itself. It is really easy to setup, you just plug it in and you’re good to go. You may have to select the mic in your audio settings, but once you do that, you’re good to go. There are volume and gain controls on the front of the mic as well as a mute button, and a headphone jack on the back. You can plug in headphone to monitor your own voice while using the mic. You can also feed your system audio through the headphone jack so that you can just pug your headphones in and hear everything through them. I found that the audio quality of this mic is top notch. Whether I’m streaming, recording, or conferencing for work, I found that it works great in all scenarios. It does a very good job of just picking up your voice and cutting out any background noise. In the week or so that I have been using it, I have gotten many compliments and inquiries about the mic. The only thing I will mention, is that the rubber pad that they put on the bottom of the stand causes it to sit not quite flat on the desk surface. It wobbles a little, but in my experience it isn’t a huge deal. Overall, this is a great mic and I would recommend it for a variety of uses from streaming, to podcasting, to conferencing.

The Razor Seiren v2 Pro produces warm, clear vocals, feels incredibly solid and looks professional. The single pick up pattern (directly from the top of the microphone) is perfect if, like me, you want to mount the microphone on a desk mounted arm. This can be done with either the threaded bottom on the stand or the threaded bottom on the mic body itself.

On PC you can install the Razor Synapse software and adjust mic gain and monitor output from the headphone jack on the back of the mic as well as turn on the high pass filter and analog gain limiter. I found both settings useful for eliminating background hiss and distortion respectively. You can also set the sampling rate (44.1/48/96kHz). I do wish I also had a way to toggle these settings on my Mac, but Razer being primarily a PC gaming company probably doesn’t see a lot of business on the Mac side. However the settings seem to persist so if you have access to a PC you can certainly enable the settings then switch over to a Mac to record.

There really isn’t anything else standing in the way of getting good recordings. For my voice, the tone is warm, pleasant and clear as a bell. There are no other polar patterns to choose from – this is not a mic for doing interviews across a table. It is a mic for streamers and content creators who want to record one voice and sound good doing it right out of the box which suits me fine.

The housing feels well built, the knobs and button are tactile and responsive and even the cable is long and very high-quality. I’d highly recommend this mic to anyone who just wants to plug in and record themselves and sound good doing it.

If you are in the market for a good microphone, this should be one of your best options and come at a good price. When you need to work regularly using your voice for digital presentations, podcasts, or just videoconferences like in my case, a good mic is a no-brain investment. Razer is delivering quality, performance, and aesthetics with this model. I think, by the sense of the materials that this could be a good long-term investment.
I own other Razer products: a mouse, and headphones, and this manufacturer has great attention to detail when delivering the product. The mic comes in a perfectly protected box with an instruction book and all the cables. In this case, for when is needed, I love the inclusion in the package of one mic foam shield.
Easy to set up, I love that the USB plug and work technology is still the easiest that you can find for any hardware today. The configuration is done by your windows with the recognition of the drivers. One suggestion for advanced settings is to download and use the Razer synapse app that you could know from other Razer products.
After the initial configuration and very simple tests, you just start to understand the advantages of the Filter to eliminate or minimize the background noises that your coworkers will appreciate while you work from your home with kids around. The fact that the basic elements of your mic like the volume and your gain (including also the mute bottom) are in front of you makes the operation the simplest possible.
I don’t like and I don’t use the mic monitoring option that I found disturbing. However, if you are looking for perfect control of your voice, plugging your headphones
Finally, I love the mic comes fully ready to use with the desktop stand and no more investments are needed.
Final consideration: this mic is exactly what I need to deliver my voice quality and simplicity. I was initially concerned by the “professional grade” element in the name. I am not a singer or a super expert in sound and I was not attracted to a super complicate device. I need to deliver, using my voice, clear communication to my audience in this digital world, and I don’t want to spend crazy hours in the sound room. Great option made by Razer

When I see the word “pro” attached to an electronics device I immediately think “heavy and large” if compared to the “not pro” version. Looking around my studio at the number of heavy and large recording objects it tends to hold true. When I unboxed the Seiren v2 Pro I laughed at its diminutive size. I thought “how cute!” and my mind immediately visualized all the female twitch streamers who would benefit from having a smaller microphone that is not as large as their head when streaming.

The electronics industry transition from USB-A to USB-C continues to be messy. This microphone uses a Type C (to microphone) to Type A (to computer) cable which includes a plastic tip used to make the Type C connection to the microphone flush for a better visual experience. The Type A connector is Razer Green which is a fun gimmick for marketing persons but I would much rather Razer move to a standard Type C cable on both ends. The 6-foot black braided cord is solid and appreciated for those that wish to mount this to an arm instead of using the included desk stand.

I’ve had no complains from my listeners using this as a primary microphone for days worth of Zoom, Webex, and FaceTime calls. While gaming, I appreciate he inclusion of the windsock as I get a bit excited when gaming and tend to scream and shout a bit which leads to a number of embarrassing incidents with spittle hitting the microphone.

Overall this is a solid microphone for those wishing to improve the audio clarity of their streaming experiences without dedicating a huge amount of desk space to a microphone.

I have been using the Razer Seiren v2 for the last few weeks for a variety of tasks and it has proven itself to be a fantastic choice at this price for someone who games, but also regularly takes work meetings at home. The clarity is fantastic and the cabling is very tough feeling and durable, providing a lot of confidence that you can move this mic from system to system without worrying about the cables fraying or the stand breaking. The bas of the stand is fully removeable and works with articulating microphone arms through a standard 5/8″ thread. The performance in streams is fantastic, with excellent clarity and little to no interference from other devices and the included windsock helps for those who participate in meetings of jobs who use a lot of letters that normally require a pop filter! Along with that, the front facing mute button helps reduce mute anxiety during meetings, giving you a clear indicator whether your microphone is muted or not! This is great for stream, too, as sometimes you need to quickly mute yourself without having to jump back to OBS or your streaming platform.

The setup is quick and easy, the microphone is light enough to move around but feels solidly built and premium, the controls feel excellent, and the software from Razer is easy to use. I would definitely recommend this to newer streamers and/or those looking to up their Teams/Zoom meeting audio quality without having to wear a full headset or invest in expensive XLR equipment!

Razer has done a great job with this v2 Seiren Professional grade USB microphone. Always loved getting Razer’s packaging. It is quite the experience to open up the box and see the microphone for the first time. All matte black everything, even the lettering is blacked out. Adjustment on the base is easy enough. Mute button on front is a bit small but nice touch that turns green/red depending on if you are muted or not. Volume and gain knobs on the front are also on the small side but useable. It is very nice to have a USB-C connection even if the included cord is to USB-A. Headphone jack on the rear of the mic is also in a decent location. I love the all matte black everything aesthetic and even though the mic seems a bit on the smaller side overall when compared to other professional grade microphones, I love it.

The downside for me is that in the soft padding that is used on the bottom of the stand, it’s too soft. I have a solid desk but any small vibration or even typing on my keyboard and I can visually see the microphone moving around. I personally would have liked to have had a more solid base. You can get around this by just mounting it to a mic stand since it does have the thread to mount and it’s neat that they covered it up with a black rubber cap.

Now for the sound! I am impressed that something of this size and with a 30mm dynamic cardioid microphone is this good. The sound of your voice is comparable to that of clear, crisp, DJ talking to their audience. It’s worth to just try it out for your game streams or podcasts. Razer does a great job of also clearing out any background noise that might be in the background from your pc fans or other unwanted noise. You can also control your setting with Razer Synapse, which does a good job overall for quality control of your voice output recordings.

The Razer seiren v2 pro microphone is a great tool to use for recording a podcast or gaming. It comes in a nice box with foam padding surrounding it to protect it. When you take it out of the box, you have to screw the base into the microphone, and then plug the usb-c cable into the mic also. They are not attached while in the box. The other end of the usb-c cable has a usb-a port that goes into your computer. The cable is about 10 ft long and nylon braided to prevent it from fraying. It feels very sturdy. The box also contains the windsock (this is the big foam cover that goes on the speaking end of the microphone to prevent popping when you say the “p” sound when you speak into the mic). Depending on where you have the mic setup in relation to where you are, you may not need the windsock on the mic. The mic also swivels on each knob on either side of the microphone. You can also hear yourself as you are speaking into the mic because you can plug in your headphones into the back of the microphone. The plug for this is an audio jack.

The setup is very easy. You do have to download software and that can take some time depending of your internet speed.

Now for the sound quality. To test the sound, I compared it to my Blue Yeti mic. By far the Razer mic was a better choice for me. The gain button made a huge difference in the volume of the recording. When you turn down the gain volume, the volume of the sound goes down and it is more difficult to hear you when you’re speaking. When you turn the gain volume up, the recording gets louder. But at the same time, it also picks up more ambient noises when the gain volume is turned up. With the gain volume up, you can be further away from the mic and sound like you are a foot away. This eliminates the need for the windsock and prohibits the popping sounds when you speak into the mic.

One of the things I don’t like about the microphone is that it does not eliminate any shock despite what it says in the description. I can clearly hear my typing, tapping, and any other noise in the room. Again, the higher you turn the gain volume, the more likely you will also pick up any other noises.

I would recommend getting this microphone because of its ability to control the volume of the recording in real time as opposed to when you’re editing the recording. It’s very simple to use and has a very quick setup. Your voice is crisp and clear also. No static or any other sound issues.

So this is clearly not for online video conferences. This is geared for anyone trying to get into streaming, podcasts, media creation, etc. I have been trying my hand at podcasts and these fit the bill.

Out of the box, I was pleased with the design. Razer products, in my opinion, always tend to have a clean and sturdy build quality. The Seiren V2 Pro was no different. It has a clean and crisp design without overdoing it. Despite it being a “professional-grade” mic, it is not professional music studio stuff that I would start singing covers on. It connects via USB. You do have to download their software but it is pretty straightforward. It comes with a base that you have to screw in.

In terms of getting good sound, you have to speak pretty close to it in order to get clear audio. If you do that, you get some darn good sounds. I am a newbie when it comes managing all of the different settings, but I was getting some good recordings. It does pick up all sorts of ambient noise and distorted sound that bothered me despite playing with the gain. If I was better at using the software, this would potentially not be a problem. I will continue to fiddle with it.

All in all, I am happy with the sound quality but do think it requires alot of fiddling to maximize its true potential.

I wanted to like this mic. I wanted to use it for travel as it’s smaller than the “well known” mic I use today. I wanted to use it with my macs. For a brand-new product, I was surprised it did not use the newer USB-C connector (would have made it easier to use with my mac too). USB-C connectors are so much easier to use, especially in the dark.

I found the included software (Razer Synapse) was difficult to set up, and hard to use with the other software I use while streaming. The stream mixing software seemed like a nice product, but overly complex. Why it has to add 10 virtual devices to the windows audio menu is beyond me. It’s like they think that their software will be the only software being used. Most unlikely. And it only runs on windows.

The automatic gain control was too aggressive, I had to disable it to use the Siren Mic. Once I had the mic setup, I was generally impressed with the sound quality, that is when the mic was just the right distance away. Here is the real problem, in actual use the mic needs to get moved, or I have to move fairly frequently during the course of use. The microphone stand was quite wobbly, a small bump could knock it over, and that crashing sound was something I was thinking about, trying to avoid. If I’d really liked it the only way, I could see using it was on an external boom. The included stand does not support the mic as it should. This further prevented me from wanting to use this to travel with. I found the external buttons less intuitive than the mic I’m accustomed to using, the mute made sense, but the other 2 controls (volume and gain) just spin. The mic does have a headphone port, but setup with their software is overly complicated (you have to adjust the sound level of the headphone port versus PC output, and you have to do it through the mixer…).

The sound quality was very good when I was just the right distance from the mic, but small variations in distance from the mic dramatically changed the audio quality significantly. Much more than my other mic. The sweet spot for the mic was uncomfortably close. Trying to use the gain control didn’t provide any improvement. I found this very frustrating, and on this basis alone I cannot recommend this mic compared to other products available. It does not perform as well as I expected it to. It does not perform as well as its competition.

The Razer Seiren V2 Pro is a high-quality professional-grade USB Microphone intended for streaming. It can however be used for any use of a good quality microphone, including remote workers, YouTube Videos, and podcasting.

This review will be done in 3 parts – features, usage impressions, and pros/cons:

    Features:
The features of this Microphone are excellent. It is a 30 mm dynamic Cardioid microphone. The microphone is a top-entry microphone, which mean the microphone should have the top of the microphone pointed at your mouth for the best sound capture. The microphone itself has 3 controls – a mute button, a volume control for headphones connected via the 3.5 mm headphone port, and a Microphone Gain control for adjusting the sound capture sensitivity. Additional features include an analog gain limiter pre preventing vice distortion, a high pass filter to block unwanted low frequencies, mic monitoring (via the 3.5 mm headphone port) to allow oneself to be heard accurately, a windsock and built-in shock absorber to dampen noise. The microphone comes with a USB-A to USB-C Cable with the USB C going on the microphone end of the connection. The cable is very long and should support most routing/mounting needs. An image of everything that comes in the box is included with this review.

Razer offers its Synapse software for device and Audio Mixing via this software (see images included with this review). This software allows one to “assign your audio to the respective outputs and control the levels at which they play.”

    Usage Impressions:
The audio quality of this microphone is top notch. I used it in a variety of modes, and it performed well. When video conferencing, No one on the other end said I sounded abnormal. The microphone does note require any special software to be loaded for use and the drivers load without issue. The microphone is also usable with an existing Boom and shock mount that I have as part of my setup (see last image with this review).

Pros: Audio quality, Streaming settings to feed to a streaming mixer
Cons: Mic monitoring sound is slightly hollow out of the box.

Okay, so I must admit, having more than one Razer product gives you a sense of “I’m creating content for a major audience.” The appearance, physical impression, and quality of the device is what you have come to expect from Razer.

In my overall experience I’m comparing this to my Shure Microphone. I’ve gotten many compliments as well as my own approval since I record myself streaming and go back and review gameplay. I’ve got really high standards but know the limitations of the individual microphones and their different price points.

I really enjoyed how bright the sound is. It’s perfect for my setup since it’s filled with low sounds in the background. It was compatible with stream labs so that was a big plus. The metal feel is a plus as well. You can unscrew the base and thread it into your microphone arm. I have my microphone on a shock mount because I like to make it as professional as possible. You’ve got mute button and a volume knob as well as a gain knob to control how much louder you want your voice to be. It’s a really basic microphone that feels sturdy. The braided cable also adds to the microphones aesthetic.

Adding this microphone to your already growing arsenal of Razer products, or if this is your first high quality microphone, it pairs to your Razer Synapse and you can control the volume and gain digitally if needed. This keeps up with a microphone almost twice as much as this. It’s absolutely worth it. You get what you pay for and if you want to add that value to your stream or comms in-game. I suggest that you purchase this.
