Bought this for my son, so I have not used it. He uses it to play games on his computer with his friends online. The mouse still functions and he has not asked for a new one, so I guess it still works well.
ScopeL –
The rgb is vibrant and has many different options and the 1000hz polling rate on this mouse is crazy fast the design of it feels comfortable and light on the hand when gaming
Anna –
My son is beyond happy with his purchase and is very satisfied

This Mouse has so many customizable features with Razer software, its wheel is adjustable to free or twctile, its rgb settings but honestley for the price youre getting a mouse that is great for competitive or casual gaming! 9/10

Works great, has lasted a long time. Great for price.

So far this is a good mouse but buyer beware Razer Synapse software is required to use the mouse. The software is like 700MB and uses up your CPU resources and the lighting and custom profiles doesnt save. Moreover, i had to use my firewall and anti-virus software to block data monitoring Synapse uses. Beware: Razer requires to sign up and create an account to get access to the full features of the mouse. I would most users are novice and unaware of the bloatware that runs in the background and data mining Synapse does on you.

Purchased as a christmas gift for daughter who is an avid gamer. Easy install, was immediately used for CoD and Fortnite and performed very well. Nice lighting package as a bonus novelty.

This was the 2nd time purchasing this mouse. First time for myself and I loved it so much I bought one for my son. We both are into PC Gaming, shooters like Call of duty and fortnite. I would 100% recommend.

For $40 I didn’t expect much but after using this mouse for a couple of months I have come to say I my expectations were wrong, long story short if you play anything were reaction and precise move ment are necessary this mouse is for you
DannyG –
Prefect good and love it. Runs smoothly, led lights is awesome.
WARLOCK –
Bought it as a mouse for a laptop. Feels great and has low latency. Great for right handers but not so for lefties. If you are looking to travel with it, get something smaller or a bigger case. It’s bulky. It does have ample cord length and is a soft cord.
For my use its perfect.

While the Razer Basilisk V3 had cool RGB lighting and smooth connectivity, my disappointment stemmed from a defective right-click. On the positive side, the return process was smooth. Giving it 2 stars for the mixed experience.

So far I’ve loved my Basilisk mouse. It’s price was fair and I thought was a good deal. The speed and consistency of the mouse is great, and the app on my PC is even better. It is simply but elegant, and I would buy it again. So far it has lasted me a year.

Great mouse for the price. The thumb button stopped working on one of them but have had my recent one for a while. I like my logitech – G pro x superlight better.
MGmirkin –
Bought a new gaming rig recently, which has some RGB features, and wanted a complementary set of RGB keyboard & mouse.
Got the HyperX Alloy Core RGB keyboard and the Razer Basilisk v3 RGB wired ergonomic mouse. I love them both, and they go nicely together.
The Basilisk v3 mouse is a right-handed ergonomic mouse. Not sure if they make a left-handed version.
It comes with several Razer logo and brand stickers that looks pretty nice affixed to my desktop.
It has several function buttons / programmable buttons.
It has an RGB scroll-wheel, as well as RGB along the underside, and under the Razer logo.
One of the buttons on top of the mouse, below the scroll-wheel switches between wheel modes: “tactile feedback” [which ‘clicks’] and “free-scrolling” [where the wheel is free to spin, without clicks]. You can switch back and forth, or just leave it whichever way you prefer. Personally, I like the feel of the tactile feedback. But the free-scrolling is also very smooth feeling and fast/responsive.
To set the RGB on the mouse, you need the Razer Synapse software. It hs a number of different easy or advanced RGB modes. “Breathing” is a nice smooth pulsing mode. Though, it goes all the way down to ‘off’ rather than just stopping at a low lighting level. For some reason, I fought that slightly off-putting, as I like to be able to see the RGB at all times. I ended up just setting it to a static color, and the keyboard as well. I found the pulsing LEDs a little distracting.
Anyway, overall, I like the feeling of the mouse in my hand. The ergonomic feel is pretty nice. I haven’t done a tone of gaming on it yet, so not sure yet on how the button placement is. But there are two buttons placed right above where the thumb rests on the left side of the mouse, so I assume they’d be pretty convenient for pre-set key-binds, etc. There’s one additional button just in front of the thumb that’s easily reachable. It feels like it might be *too* easy to reach, and maybe could be accidentally clicked on repeatedly, if not careful. But, presumably one would get used to the mouse and maybe position one’s thumb slightly further back by default to compensate?
Anyway, overall, I love this mouse. 🙂 Had I know the scroll wheel on the Razer Cobra is RGB, I might have bought that one instead and saved myself a few $$, as this one is a little more expensive. But, the advertising imges didn’t show the RGB on the Cobra, so I ended up continuing to look for something that suited my aesthetic / functional tastes and settled on the Basilisk v3, and I’m quite happy with it. ^_^ You will be too, presumably. It’s a good mouse! Slightly expensive, but probably worth it.
One slight thing to note, since the Razer Synapse software is required to run the RGB, it has the quirky behavior of “losing” your RGB setting while the computer is “asleep” or “locked,” so it’ll revert to its default rainbow color-changing mode while the machine is locked, and then go back to your chosen RGB color profile when you unlock / log-in, assuming the Razer Synapse software is running. Also, if you close the Razer Synapse tray icon it will also revert to the default rainbow color-cycling mode. When you reopen Synapse, it will resume your color profile(s).
kitty –
good features. comfortable ergonomics while still being light
CobyA –
Great mouse for the price, the rgb lights look great, really bright, and smooth in the hand.
Donovan –
I’ve used a Razer Death Adder for years and this honestly feels like a step up. The mouse is a perfect fit for my big hands. The movement is smooth and the click is satisfying. I also love that it syncs up with my Chroma keyboard effects.
Osman –
It has a good sensor. Looks pretty good, but the extra buttons are not that useful
Master9 –
Love the way, the mouse is clicking and the light compatible a white chrome razor.
Nolan –
Great mouse, has more options than my old more expensive one. For the price, it’s an amazing pick, this brand always delivers
SkylurB –
Upgraded from basilisk v1 from way back in 2018, worth the upgrade. Old mouse was getting click drift, supposedly the new versions are resistant to this issue now. Not a fan of wireless gaming mouses so this was perfect for me. RGB isn’t super straight forward but anyone with a background in pc gaming should, more or less, be able to figure out the razor software.
Unknown –
Grandson uses it for his XBOX and computer with matching keyboard.
SamuelC –
I bought this mouse purely because it is wired and it was on sale. It works awesome and I’m so glad I got it. I had a wireless L brand and had a lot of issues with lag and compatibility with Win10. This solved the problem.
Jason –
Honestly it’s really good, I will definitely buy another one just in case I ragequit on my games and break it lol. But even then, they’re pretty sturdy so it will definitely last a long time!
August –
I throughly enjoy the mouse all around. The colors and controlling them with the Synapses is easy and fun, the controlling of the mouse itself and its customizations is amazing and simple. Both for gaming and in general this is a great mouse. Great feel, just wish I could reach one of the left buttons with my thumb without moving my entire hand.
Olivia –
Very good mouse for gaming. i love the thumb rest on the side, which makes for smoother maneuvers while gaming. Only downside is that sometimes the mouse will remain on when you power down your PC and the next time you boot up, the mouse won’t work unless you unplug it and plug it back in. Not a huge deal, just annoying sometimes.
