They’re just garbage as far as longevity.
Don’t waste your money. Recommend the Blue Parrot headset. Blue parrot has its issues. But they do last a long time.

I have been a huge poly fan for years. When my first headset went out, I quickly replaced it with the same model. I purchased the headset less than a year ago, and have now had two replacement headsets – one while it was still poly and the other now they are owned by HP.
The headset purchased from bestbuy had issues within six months. Per the one year warranty, poly replaced that headset due to severe audio issues and the people on the other line not being able to hear. Every caller complained they could not hear me, and I would constantly have to restart the headset. Once the warranty replacement arrived, I was excited and hopeful – only to have the same problems, but an added issue of the battery never fully charging.
I the applied for a warranty replacement from HP and the process was beyond difficult and HP was less than helpful putting all of the burden on me to show proof of purchase – one would think that upon aquirig Poly the purchase history, and warranty replacement history would follow. HP had a list of items I needed to provide that I could not because this was and online purchase from bestbuy. I escalated the issue with HP and the supervisors would call me from a +91 phone number – which I refuse to answer for fear of being charged international cost by my carrier (that could be unfounded, but not a risk I could afford to take). I provided the purchase receipt from Best Buy and I did recieve a replacement headset from HP. I have had the headset for less than two weeks and the same audio issue persist. Every headset provided is a refurb – which is ok if it worked.
I see other reviews saying they are not durable, and I agree. For context, I keep my headset in its own comparment in my bookbag, SwissGear 6688. It has never been dropped, or banged into. I am very gentle on my devices because I ball on a budget and cannot afford to buy new because of my negligence. Regardless, the headset is not the same quality I am used to seeing.
From one consumer to another, the reviews you see are a culmination of years, when the quality was there. The quality has diminished greatly, and that is being generous. The customer support from HP has been extremely lacking. If I could review all Poly products to aid in the Buyer Beware concept – I would, but i can only review what I have purchased. From my heart to yours, avoid Poly, avoid HP. The customer support from HP will leave you frustrated and feeling unhelped. There is no accountability or effort to be accountable by HP and the burden is on you to close gaps they failed to in the acquisition.
I know this is one run on paragraph, and if you lasted through it all I hope you take heed of my mistake. The review process for bestbuy gives you a box thay is only five lines long, so its difficult to write a well written essay on a mobile device.

The package the poly 5220 comes in says it’s for iPhone and iPad.I can not make a call on my iPhone 13+.Called poly customer support and they said they are working on it.It defeats the purpose of hands free if I have to push a button on phone to call someone.Other than that I like it.Not the fact the package is miss leading though.
