Speakers works best when you have them placed in the proper location. Once I had these speakers in position then I noticed a difference in my entertainment experience. They sound wonderful with any content.
Pros:
– Perfect size: The speakers are a Livingroom compliment. You can sit them on side tables or mount them above the couch. Such a small footprint is a great benefit.
– Quick setup: Pairing the speakers only required me to press and hold the “connect” button for 3 seconds each on the speakers and soundbar.
– Wireless/Receiverless Design: There’s no worry of unnecessary or additional cables because I only had to deal with the power adapter. Since no receiver is required then I was able to preserve connection ports.
Cons:
– Could be louder: I noticed at times I have to sit closer to hear the speakers better, but it wasn’t often.
– Compatibility restrictions: It would be nice to use these speakers in isolation with Bluetooth functionality. Users are only allowed to use these speakers with certain Polk Audio products.
I really like these speakers and would only recommend them if you have the Polk React Soundbar to use with them from a compatibility/integration perspective.

These surrounds connect wirelessly to the soundbar via wifi and sweetly fill in the sound for a most satisfying experience.
One note, the instructions tell you to connect each of the two surrounds, but I could not get the right one to audibly connect like the left surround and subwoofer did. But when I checked the green connection light, I found all on solid for each speaker, so it appears only one surround needs to go through wifi connection process.
This soundbar system sounds so good that I don’t feel the need to go listen to my 5.1 entertainment system in another room.

These are nice speakers. The produce a good amount of volume and some nice subtle sounds.
Connecting them to the soundbar was really easy, although I did need to bring them in closer to pair and then could move them farther away.
The main issue with these speakers is actually with the soundbar and that the options to tweak the output and really get the system dialed in is pretty simplistic and not too intuitive. Even in an improper setup they improve things over just a soundbar themselves, but it was a real pain and took along time to get them set up right.
My biggest issue was that I only have power plugs in certain spots. Sure they are wireless when it comes to producing the sound, but they still need to have power. This means my setup had to be a bit asymmetrical and the speakers were a bit farther away from the listener that I would consider ideal.
If you have the soundbar already, these will make your system even better, but if you haven’t gotten a sound bar yet it may make a difference in which system you go with.

In my opinion you really need these 2 wireless surround speakers (they still need to be plugged into a wall socket however) to get the full, rich sound you desire from your Polk React soundbar. I had no trouble at all connecting them to my bar, although I did have to move closer to it initially but then placed the speakers where I needed to and they stayed connected. On the React remote there is a Volume/Balance control for just the Surrounds which helps in getting them perfectly tuned in. I definitely recommend!

In reviewing the soundbar individually is a disservice in my opinion. I did use the sound bar alone, then added the subwoofer, and lastly added the wireless speakers for a full surround sound system. As a single unit, namely the soundbar, you can find better ones out there because you absolutely need a subwoofer, in this case a wireless subwoofer to at least get the bass side of the sounds. I personally have an open floor plan in our house and living room. Because of this, there are no smaller rooms and walls to bounce off. With the further addition of the wireless speakers it absolutely sings. The sounds watching a movie and listening to Spotify is a dream. It is really easy to connect Spotify to this soundbar.
The installation was easy. The soundbar actually comes with both a HDMI and optical cable. Each can easily run twenty dollars per cord but Polk included everything you need here. In case you don’t have an HDMI ARC connection, no problem! There’s the optical connection, which, I think is an awesome connection as well. The soundbar requires you to download Amazon Alexa. In my case on my android device. From there, the soundbar’s settings can be adjusted slightly with the EQ settings there. From there you need to connect the soundbar to your wifi network. The set up here is relatively easy. I say relative because my initial attempt failed even though I have Google Mesh as my network. I just attempted the second time to connect the device through Alexa and it connected pretty smoothly. The onboard EQ settings work pretty well, with the option to adjust the bass and tremble a bit. All in all, the soundbar looks good and sounds ok as a stand alone unitl The integration with Amazon Alexa was seamless and you pretty much use Alexa as your Hub. The Alexa functionality is actually better than my other Alexa enabled speakers. There’s no false triggers, the sound is there and the LED line is pleasing to the eyes. Phone calls are done through the Alexa app as well. This use was clear and I had no issues using this function.
In adding the wireless subwoofer, this made a huge difference on how the movies and music sounds. You can feel and hear it pretty crisp and hits the bass lines just enough but not annoying. Even at full bass. Connecting was simple. You place the wireless subwoofer where you want it, plug it in and then press the pair button on the soundbar first to pair and then on the wireless subwoofer for a few seconds.
Then the final piece I think is essential in this setup is the wireless speakers. The pairing is just like with the wireless subwoofer, you press the button on the soundbar to pair and then go to each speaker to press the button to pair. This method was pretty simple and worked the first time. I got an additional prompt saying that the subwoofer pairing has failed but it was already connected. So you may get that you may not. The sounds from the wireless speakers were simple and did it’s job. You can use the soundbar’s remote to adjust the volume of these speakers in case you have placed them a bit off center to your listening area.
With all three components combined, this is a system that sound fantastic. I have a much more powered system without the wireless speakers but to me the wireless speakers fill in the gap in what is missing in my home theater experience that I longed for. Especially when theaters are not fully opened yet.
Do I recommend adding these wireless speakers? I say yes if you are looking for that theater experience!

Adding to the sound bar and woofer, the surround sound speakers will complete the Polk Sound Experience. The speakers build quality are really nice and heavy.
Though it is stated they are wireless speakers, they still need to be plugged in (obviously to power them) so keep that in mind when planning your set up.
Pairing was simple. Hold the Pairing button on the bar for about 3 seconds then Alexa will say entering pairing mode. I went to pair the speakers and after pairing one, I couldn’t get the other to connect. This was because I was too far, but after bringing it closer to the bar, it paired perfectly and I could go back to where I wanted it.
Adding these, IF you have a place for them will definitely make your sound experience better, but not really required in smaller rooms as the bar itself is sufficient. Though I will still recommend them in a heartbeat if you want to have the surround option. Just make sure to get the React Subwoofer too!

For a full home theater experience, get these surround speakers for the react soundbar. They really add to the movie viewing experience! Adding these to the system is just as easy as the sub. (pairing button on soundbar then on each speaker.) They have their own power plugs so you just need to have outlets by them, no other wires. No fishing extra cables through the ceiling was awesome. The soundbar remote controls the level of these as well!
Definitely get the soundbar, sub and surrounds for the best sound. I am very impressed!

These Polk SR2 wireless surround speakers are a very nice addition to the Polk React sound bar! I tested these along with the Polk React and they really can help to upgrade the audio experience you get from the sound bar. These speakers were very easy to wirelessly pair with the sound bar, and I love that they are wireless so they do not require any wiring beyond plugging them into power.
After initially setting these up, I thought they were not working properly as I was testing different audio sources and not getting any sound out of them. After some further testing, I discovered that some of the audio sources on my TV did not support surround sound. For example, I did not get surround sound when opening any live tv shows on YouTube TV. But, I did get surround sound on some YouTube videos and by playing music through Alexa on the React sound bar. The quick start guide for these surround speakers had a very brief troubleshooting section that gave no mention of checking your audio source for surround sound support. They must have assumed that it would be obvious that not all audio sources support Dolby 5.1 surround, but it would have helped for them to have stated that as something to check when troubleshooting.
As I mentioned, I was able to test these with some YouTube videos and music through Alexa. When a Dolby 5.1 source was being used, these definitely improved the audio experience. When testing music through Alexa, the audio was very immersive which provided an excellent listening experience. If you plan on using an audio source that does support Dolby 5.1 surround, then these really elevate the audio experience. That being said, if you will primarily be using sources that do not support Dolby 5.1, then these really aren’t necessary as they won’t improve your listening experience. Do keep that in mind when deciding whether to add these to your React sound bar.
Overall, if you will be using audio sources that support Dolby 5.1, these are a really nice addition to the Polk React sound bar. They are really easy to pair and require no special wiring which makes installing and using them super easy and convenient!

I’m very glad to have the Polk Audio SR2 Wireless Surround Speakers to go with the React SoudBar! Setup is easy and the surround sound is excellent!
Setup
These surround speakers were easy to setup. Each speaker has a power cord and it’s pretty long, over 9 feet. You can set them on a table or they can be mounted on a wall. Pairing them to the Soundbar is a quick and easy process. There’s an indicator light on the bottom of each speaker showing that it’s paired.
Surround Sound
The surround impressed me more than I thought. I expected it to only really be useful in movies but that wasn’t the case. I found sounds coming unexpectedly out of the surround speakers for all different types of content. There were YouTube families we follow who used the surround channels to play music while they were talking from the front channels. Sometimes I got positional audio from videos I wasn’t expecting as well. In one show I was watching I almost jumped in my seat when a spaceship that I wasn’t expecting to enter the scene flew over me from behind and the sound made me feel like I was there! When surround audio is used it makes a richer environment overall and pulls me into the scene in a way I never was before. Probably my favorite feature that I didn’t realize this sound system has is the “All Stereo Mode”. When I’m just listening to two channel music but I want it to come out of all the speakers I can press the “Music” button twice on the remote (included with the React Soundbar) to activate “All Stereo Mode”. I love this feature as it really adds value to the surround speakers! The remote included with the React Soundbar has dedicated buttons for left/right balance of the surround speakers as well as volume of the surround speakers.
Sound Quality
I very impressed with the sound quality no matter what I was listening to. For the surround audio, whether it was forest animals and rustling leaves or sci-fi sounds as described above, all sounds were reproduced realistically. When I had music playing through the surround speakers there was never a difference from the sounds coming out of them compared to the front. The sound was just a rich and clear as from the front soundbar.
One odd thing
With my setup I didn’t get audio out of the surround speakers when using Dolby Surround on my TV. I set my TV to PCM audio and I got excellent, positional audio, out of the surround speakers.

If you have a polk soundbar that these speakers work with, then it’s nice to add this. I think the sub is more important for sound quality but you do need the speakers to get good surround sound, but nothing too special from my usage.
Eric –
The sound is great. A little tricky to get hooked up to your soundbar but they work perfect. I originally bought these to work as independent speakers but didnt realize they need a polk soundbar to pair. Oh well.
Holley –
Perfect addition to the Polk sound bar and base speaker (Magnifi 2) I ordered first. These surround speakers linked right up and the room is filled with sound. Not quite as good as the Denon reciever and Polk speakers I still have, but so close I’m watching all TV, movies and listening to music through the Polk Magnify II and these surround speakers. Amazing what an imporvement over the speakers on my Sony 65″ tv.
Bob2 –
Bought with the Soundbar. Couldn’t make it work in my configuration.
Scott –
OK, so the speakers are not really why I gave this 2 stars, the reason..they are not compatible with the Polk Audio Magnifi Max. Called Polk after I could not get them to pair, and according to Polk, the SR2’s are not compatible with the Max. They are compatible with the Magnifi 2 and the React. Do not buy these if you have the Max, you will rip your hair out trying to get them to work and they won’t.

Polk Audio Wireless Speakers have great sound and easy to install
Dell –
These surround speakers do not connect with all Polk speakers. If I would have been told that in the beginning, I would not have purchased them.
Roberts –
I love these. They pair easily with the soundbar and woofer. I put them behind the couch so it gives us a nice surround vibe
GoBucks123 –
I returned these speakers and the whole system. They would not connect with the soundbar, the sound was weak when they did, and the cord was the cheapest possible type. Learned quickly you get what you pay for and went out and bought the Sonos for my first surround sound system instead.
Bamapride80 –
Not sure about them didn’t pair with my sound bar.
Wiseguy945 –
I bought the magnifi 2 system as it was on clearance at my area best buy store. Loved the sound. Saw that I could link these speakers wirelessly to the system as well, so went for it as they were on sale. Added nice touch to the surround. Totally worth it. Easy to link. Note, this made the system the same as the magnifi max sr system, which is the magnifi 2 system bundled with the 2 speakers. Magnifi max sr is the 2022 release from Polk, so and magnifi 2 was listed as 2020. So if you have magnifi 2 or react system, speakers totally worth getting. New into market, magnifi max sr gets everything at once. Either way, Polk is a great value system. Plus, it has my Chromecast audio in it, and Bluetooth if all else fails

This little set of speakers has a great sound and are simple to pair.
Dkeigs –
Must have but steep price. They pair easy and add what your missing from soundbar.
Bluemonkeyx –
It’s advertised as working for my sound bar. Wouldn’t pair. Called Polk and it’s not compatible. Fix the list
Alan –
Amazing rear speakers! Totally completes the whole set up!
Tyedye –
I bought this for my son and he said it sounds great.
Andrew –
Great speakers for the prince and size would recommend.
apalmo –
I purchased these to use with my Polk sound bar. The sound bar sounded great by itself, but these made the sound even better. It was real easy to sync these speakers to the sound bar, took only a minute to get everything setup and working. Once setup I realized that these speakers provided great sound and made movies come to life. We really enjoy how the room totally filled with sound!
I would recommend these to anyone who has a Polk sound bar that doesn’t have the true rear surround speakers.
DanielM –
They constantly pop, crackle, and cut out. I wish I would have listened to the other reviews becauseit’sa common issue. My system is connected to the internet through Google Home but it only updated at setup (I’m assuming) and nothing since. For the amount of money I spent on the MagniFi Mini and the sorround speakers, I expected much better quality. I will never purchase another Polk product again. You’ve been warned!
CharlesL –
not loud egough what i can hear is gortod too specturm does not support dobly
MatteoM –
Great add on to the system! Why do they even sell it without these surround speakers is beyond me. They complete the sound!
RodolfoE –
Sound wuality was decent, the worst thing about this soundbar was the limited mounting options. No threaded insert, just a small tab where it mounts to what looks like absolutely nothing. Dont even get me started on how they just slapped an alexa dot in the middle of a soundbar and called it intergrated.
jjgtag130 –
Combined with the polk soundbar it blows away the competition, awesome speakers
john –
Not especially loud but they integrate easily with the sound bar and provide a pleasant, immersive sound.
JohnW –
Nice addition to my basic soundbar system. Wireless connection went well, easier than I expected and the resulting sound is so much better. I think surround speakers add significantly to listening enjoyment.
ShawnP –
Fantastic sound and ease of use, connectivity. The ability to control choice of sound is a plus.
RandysquiresR –
If you want surround quality sound from a soundbar this is the way to go
FFJL –
Great add to the soundbar and bass, now I have a complete surround sound
vicnbob –
These speakers pack a punch in an attractive enclosure at an affordable price. They add surround for a greater depth of sound to an already solid system.
David –
Very good quality. I would be giving it five stars if not for the set up process being a little more difficult than expected. Getting them to sync with the sound bar. Hitting the sync button on the surround speakers first was my mistake instead of clicking the button on the sound bar first.
JohnM –
For the size and price, you cannot go wrong with adding these to your wireless soundbar set up. Works great for me in a small office. Easy to set up and take up little space as they’re wireless.
Disappointed –
The speakers add plenty of supplental volume in some modes to the soundbar but do not enhance the treble much. If I run them at max, the left one will occasionally make a popping sound, but no issues at lower settings. Also, these speakers don’t seem to work in every sound mode. In movie mode, it produces a faint sound that doesn’t include voice. They seem most productive in stereo mode, but the stereo mode isn’t very pleasant. The polk magnify ax is great for loud and bass, but I found it difficult to find a balance at lower volumes. These do help with that. Even though they do not provide the sound experince I had hoped for, I would buy them again.
ToddF –
Well there super easy to pair up ..and they sound amazing..so worth the investment..
MaryP –
These speakers are wonderful! So glad that we added them to our soundbar! Would buy them again, no contest.
AmorFati –
Just needed to plug into power. The sound is good.
Baldaras –
A piece of crap. Don’t waste your money. Bought in Jan 2022. Two years later we’ve had nothing but problems… Frequent lockups that you have to unplug to resolve. Rear speakers won’t sync at all now, even from less than 5 feet away.
JEMM –
Simple one touch pairing with Polk soundbar, clean sound, long cords for easy placement, various mount options for your room.
