    Bought these speakers to replace a pair of ancient Technics speakers. I was looking for fuller, clearer sound and was pleasantly surprised when I hooked the Polk Xt70s up to my venerable (early 80s) Pioneer receiver and equalizer. I have a bluetooth audio adapter hooked up to the receiver and use it to stream music from my phone to my system. Sounds absolutely outstanding. CDs sound great too. I highly recommend these speakers.

    Very good performance for a lower to midrange price speaker. Impressive bass ports and clarity. My only inconvenience was the location of the speaker terminals being so low to the base, making it difficult to find the wiring openings. Otherwise, we’ll worth the money.

    These things blew me away from the first impression! I have these coneccted to my Onkyo TX-NR696, replacing a pair of RTR-1530’s. Despite the smaller speaker size vs the old 15″ woofers, these crank out the bass! Rock is my go-to but I’ve also listened to pop, country, edm, dubstep, radio and streaming. I still haven’t found something to complain about in the 3 months I’ve owned them. I’m so happy with the bass, I don’t even have the subs kick on while it’s in stereo mode. I’m not arrogant enough to talk about mids & highs. They just sound great. These are also the fronts for my surround system. Once again, wow!

    You can tell these are cheaply made. Looks like they are made out of plastic. And the screen is very flimsy. That being said, they do look pretty good when set up from afar. They also sound very good. There may be better sounding speakers out there but these are great for me.

    Polk is the best quality for the price which is not crazy. Great sound, I had Cherwin-Vega speakers before which are top of the line but these are just as good and not as pricey.

    I needed a new set of tower speakers for my basement, as the very old set I had, finally gave up. Did not want to spend a lot of money so I looked at a lot of budget speakers and decided to purchase these. These are good for the price you pay. They have decent range and the output is reasonably well balanced.

    Fantastic speakers! I’ve moved on from loud to clear and crisp sound. These hit all the “notes” perfectly. Powered by a Denon A/V pass through amplifier with earc HDMI. Next is the POLK Xt-12 subwoofer if I win the $400 gift card.

    I recently got back into home audio. I researched for a very long time. I went and got two of these and i love these. I would definitely purchase them again. I am giving 5 stars because i havent had any issues at all and very easy to set up. I recommend if you want a budget system the polk XT line is amazing for me.

    These speakers are off the chain!! I connected to my Sony stereo receiver and are blown away! I have it connected to my sub woofer and center speaker and boy oh boy it sounds like i’m at the theater. Polk products are amazing. I though I bought 2 speakers and come to find it it was so big but it was one speaker. Lol So I said i got to get a pair and boy I am happy I did!

    So, I actually ended up taking these back because they didn’t fit, but that was my fault, not the speakers.

    These are DECENT if you are looking for a gaming or home theater application. They are not speakers for listening to music, and if you get them for that reason, you will be disappointed in the midrange and high frequency sound.
