    I’m just your typical grumpy middle-age male who still plays Pokemon and and if anyone tells me that I am too old to play Pokemon well they’re going to get a kick in their shins.

    Old school fans don’t mind gimmicks. But with how mega evolution is completely gone for these raid battles and giant Pokémon. It’s a shame that’s the direction of gameplay that they want. Gimmicks come and go but other aspects are also showing. Expansions, dlc, and the open world feeling a bit empty. Shiny hunting is still not bad in this game compared to some. Shinies being locked has always turned me off. If you ask a lot of people. The last best Pokémon game is HGSS. It has two regions. A ton of catchable Pokémon. Your Pokémon follow you. You can shiny hunt everything. You can get kanto starters and a ton of legendaries. It also kept its old school charm while taking over the DS generation. That was 13 years ago. I feel the more they add for Pokémon. The less options of things we get to do in game or how it feels to play it.

    Pokemon has been a staple of the Nintendo franchise for years and this is no exception. As a teenager who’s grown up with Pokemon, I was both thrilled and a little skeptical about the changes, but overall, I’ve had a blast playing it.

    Overall, Pokemon Sword is a great addition to the series and offers a fresh experience that should excite both newcomers and long-time fans. While it has some areas where it could improve, the new features, the Galar region, and the Dynamax battles make it a worthy entry in the Pokemon franchise. It’s still addictive, and I’m eagerly awaiting to play the next installment, hoping that Game Freak continues to push the boundaries and make the Pokemon world even more engaging.

    One of the best stories and actions you seen in pokémon so much too do after the game you can do raid battles and play dlc with all new legendary and dynamax adventure finding legendary from past old games and ultra beasts too.

    Very fun game, not up to par compared to most of the other switch games but still a solid pokemon game. Personally I would recommend playing one of the newer ones, and would only recommend this one if you really are interested in this region and its exclusive pokemon. Most of the flaws fall under its large amounts of pop in and questionable graphics at times.
