Tried this because I was having trouble with my sd card & all this thing did was PROBABLY ruined my card by burning it! Plugged this thing in and less then a mn it was scorching hot, I could literally smell burning material. Thought I had a defective one but tried another one SAME THING! Set up appointment with Geek Square & they tried using the SAME EXACT ONE I HAD JUST RETURNED! NO HELP THERE. All in all I wouldn’t recommend personally…

The item is great, but you cannot rely on Best Buy to complete a price match. I am within the price match timeframe and the savings is $17. I have been transferred to two representatives, each indicating they can help with the adjustment and after 20 minutes their system is unable to process the adjustment.

Does exactly what it says. The straps holding the caps are nice and thick so they won’t break off easily. Reader itself is a bit chunky due to needing space for the different card slots. So if you don’t have a lot of space around the port you want to use you may run into a space issue. But aside from that works great.

I got a new mac computer and the old Nikon camera I have, the USB port doesn’t work anymore. I bought this and I take the photo scan disc and it works perfectly with the new USB ports. I can download the photos without any problem.

This is a good little card reader. Having the option of USB or “C” connection is nice. I wish it was wider so the SD card didn’t stick out quite as much. This worries me a bit with a couple of active dogs that can get rowdy.

When the cell phone industry stopped including MicroSD card slots in their new phones, it became impossible for me to move all of my personal files from my old device with MicroSD to my new device without. Now, thanks to this, I can finally transfer those files onto my new phone. Terrible product. Overpriced junk. As another reviewer noted, it immediately overheated as soon as I connected it. I could literally smell something burning. I quickly removed the SD cards and let the unit cool off, after I did this I tried to reinsert the memory cards and even used a couple of different memory cards and the unit was broken. I guess it burned itself up. By the time I realized this the return period had already expired so I was stuck with this piece of crap. The return window needs to be longer. This was a terrible product, total waste of money.

Needed a card reader in a hurry and grabbed this one. Functions well, but one downside is that when it’s plugged into one of the two USB-C ports on a macbook air it interferes with using the other port. Find that annoying.
