    Good overall deck and sound my second one purchased but warning to those in cold areas it starts acting Weird below around 35 degrees as in selecting its own options and or turning up or down its own volume both decks did it but in its own way. The app works fine for me I don’t have any problems with it.
    Besides it’s cold problem I’d recommend.

    I got this stereo for my Toyota Prius. The stereo itself works good but I wish I didn’t have to start the smart sync app every time I need to use my phone’s audio through the stereo. It requires an extra step every time I use it and does not connect automatically on its own. Also if you are playing suppose a you tube video through your phone and you hang up, it automatically switches back to your Apple Music instead of going back to your you tube that was originally being played prior to the call.

    This head unit is awesome! I installed this on my golf cart and I have it hooked up to 4 Fosgate 5 1/4” speakers and the head unit pushes them with no issues!

    Let me just say it’s a pretty good unit, but I have experienced problems with the tuner, I have had two units just randomly stop playing radio stations exchange once and bought another one, but when it works it hands down have a better sound then others, and that’s why I came back to it this one

    Bluetooth music streaming for calls, hands-free calling, and subwoofer output controls. You can’t ask for more when adding a budget upgrade to your older vehicle. The unit puts out decent wattage to power speakers. I have owned this unit for six months and don’t have any complaints as it has met my expectations for its price point.

    This allowed us to update 2004 minivan into modern electronic age. Easy to install and use. The app makes setup easier but wish Pioneer would offer wiring diagram. Most of the installation time was in figuring out what wire did what

    Bought new on website. When i showed up it was open box. Took discount but didnt notice that the faceplate did not match the chasis. Its a detachable faceplate that belonged to an older CD model but works with this unit.

    Cheap no frills radio. Better audio than the no-name knockoffs you find on the jungle site. Without the CD mechanism it’s extremely short which is great because it gives you tons of room for wiring.

    Could gripes are I wish it had more options for what displays while a song is playing. And I wish it had illumination control that worked with the vehicles dimmer switch. You can set it to automatically go into day/night mode at certain times but with a setup like that it’s obviously not going to be perfect. And the mechanism isn’t overly smooth to remove the faceplate. It hangs up quite often.

    I bought this to replace an older Kenwood receiver that froze up after a lot of years on my boat. One of the issues was that the bluetooth was weak, a big negative on a boat when the head unit is in the cabin and you’re at the helm. Plus the remote was weak as well. This new Pioneer works great – extended bluetooth range and the Smart Sync is awesome! You’re able to change virtually all setting on the unit from a good distance on your phone with the app. The fact that it’s a mech-less unit made it easier to secure in the mounting (I haven’t used CD’s in years). The only thing I wish is that it had additional/separate (six) RCAs for the subwoofer and rear channels – there’s only four – front and rear or front and sub, but there’s work around so if I did decide to add a sub, it would still work – right now I’m happy with just the front and rear being ampped. Overall, so far, I’m very pleased, especially at less than $100.
