I’ve had plenty of Sonicare’s over the years, but stopped because of the mold that would grow in the cavity of the handle. Grossed me out!
I did my research, again, & the Diamond Clean is the best option. There is one more level you can go with these toothbrushes, ie: bluetooth & $100 more. I know buying a $200 toothbrush is crazy & expendable income, but I saved up & bought it. Well worth the price since it cleans the bejeezus out of your teeth; there’s no room for mold to grow. I sanitize the brush daily.

Like all Sonic toothbrushes, this one does a fantastic job cleaning my teeth. There are new brush heads and new modes although I was always happy with my old ones. My last one didn’t last as long as my first one so I believe their is planned obsolescence so they can sell you the new and improved version. I was excited about the Bluetooth app that tracks your brushing, monitors pressure and “scrubbing” and shows you on the screen areas you missed, theoretically. The Bluetooth function is so spotty it makes the app worthless. It will tell me I have the wrong brushhead loaded when I haven’t changed the head or the setting. It shows me missing areas of my mouth I didn’t miss and wants me to brush them again. It fails to recognize that the toothbrush is on and ready to brush and records nothing. It loses connection all together and makes me go through the entire setup process again. It tells me to install new firmware, but when I turn on my brush, it says it’s up to date. I have quit using it all together out of frustration. Stick with a cheaper model. The app is not worth the extra money.

This toothbrush not only gives you different brushing types, you can track how effective you are brushing with the Sonicare app. The app tells you if you are brushing too hard or too light and where you need to spend more time. It tracks your brush head life cycle and you can order brush heads from the app. You can personalize gum care, teeth whitening etc. a true smart tooth brush.

Connected easily to the smart app, the app has a lot of useful information and guidance on how to brush, the pressure you are applying, the area that needs more brushing. The charging glass is a nice touch and the travel box is very useful.

This thing is so incredibly loud, so loud my next-door neighbors thought I was using a vibrator twice a day in the bathroom. It works well and has a really cool charging system. The additional bristles are incredibly overpriced and makes me want to use a normal toothbrush. I would recommend if you’re terrible at brushing.

It’s great, the app is nice, you feel like your teeth are super clean after using it. The only flaw seems to be the Bluetooth connectivity. It drops out usually once or twice a week, which prevents the app from working and skews your brushing metrics for the week.

This is a powerhouse of a toothbrush! Not only can I feel much more powerful cleaning action than most other electric toothbrushes I have used in the past, it also has a quick pause in the cleaning vibration when it’s time to move from one section of teeth cleaning to another. I liked it so well, my wife bought one, then after using it for a while, she bought the travel version to use when we take trips. We have used other brands of electric toothbrushes for years, but they all feel like they do a very weak job of cleaning when compared to the Phillips Sonicare.

Anyone with some receding gums should avoid this product. Even at low settings, the rapid brushing movement will badly irritate gums. I used it three times and now, five days later, my upper gums are irritated and possibly eroded above the incisors. I followed the manual and the on-line videos (which differ on whether to move side to side or in circular motion). I also read a separate entry about how to hold handle gently to avoid too much pressure on the gums. The produce has a “warning light” at the base of the handle to alert user when too much pressure is being applied. At no time when I used it did the warning light go off….the toothbrush obviously cleans well, and it is beautifully designed. The brushes are too big, though, and there is no instruction about how to use it inside the front and bottom center teeth. I cannot be the only person who has had a bad experience with irritated gums.
