The Philips Series 5000 Facial Hair remover works well to remove unwanted facial hair. It is gentle and quite effective to make that weird lady ‘stache that we get as we get older go away.
I’m personally not a fan of shaving with a razor, bleaching, or waxing my sensitive upper lip, the Philips Series 5000 Facial hair remover was able to very quickly get rid of the hair I can’t stand seeing in the mirror without aggravating my skin.
The included mirror is small you can use it but it’s not the easiest to see in it. The Philips Series 5000 Facial hair remover doesn’t have a rechargeable battery which for me can be a con, the AA battery will give you a lot of use before you have to change it, I just personally prefer a rechargeable battery. The Philips Series 5000 Facial hair remover is very effective, quiet, and easy to use.
Overall I like using the Philips Series 5000 Facial hair remover, it takes care of my unwanted weird lady facial hair in a gentle way with no irritation or aggravating my skin.

The Phillips Facial Hair Remover Mini rasoir visage 5000 is a pretty decent hair removal tool. I’ve never owned a fancy facial hair razor before. As I have aged, and due to hormonal changes I have grown a slight mustache. I never thought about shaving my mustache because I had always heard that if you shave it, it would grow back thicker. At first I would use my husband’s clean nose hair clippers to keep it away. Then I decided to do a home waxer. That didn’t work well because it was pulling skin away also. So here I am trying the Phillips facial hair remover. I used it on slightly damp skin. It will take several passes to actually remove the facial hair. I followed instructions and used circular movement. It took about 3-5 minutes to make my upper lip smooth. This item ships with the Phillips facial hair remover, a battery, and a cleaning brush. There is a mirror on the removable cap and the device has a light to help when removing facial hair. Overall I really like this facial hair removal tool.

This is my first time using a facial hair remover and I absolutely LOVE it. I just wish I had discovered it a long time ago.
SET UP:
I found the instructions to put the unit together a bit confusing and after trial and error I figured it out and this is what I did – This is battery operated, so first things first – To put the battery in unscrew the top half of the body (the thinnest part) turning counter-clockwise, lift and put the enclosed battery into the battery area being sure to put it in correctly (with positive side of battery facing down). To put back together be sure both top and bottom line up with arrow and silver circle aligned. Apply a little pressure bringing them together and turning clockwise so that both top and bottom circles aligned. Done!
INSTRUCTIONS:
Take off the lid with mirror to use or clean the head. You will need to turn the other side so that the line is in alignment with the silver circle to turn on. DO NOT APPLY too much pressure when using on your face. Simply glide unit over your face till hair is removed.
CLEANING: Slightly turn the head counter-clockwise to remove it. There is a brush that was included to clean all the nooks and crannies. When I opened it for the first time, I probably should have done this over a trash bin instead of blowing the head out (my bad).
I wash my face each time before using this facial hair remover, usually before bed or going out. I then apply my normal lotions or make up.
I smoothly glide the hair remover over my entire face, being sure I am getting all those fuzzy hairs that we all have. I hadn’t realized how much of a difference my makeup looks without all those little fuzzy hairs. My foundation now looks flawless and my face is soooo much smoother.
I love and highly recommend this for your beauty routine.

The Philips Series 5000 Facial Hair Remover is a great little hair remover. It is incredibly gentle and super effective at removing even the finest hair for a really smooth face. The hypoallergenic head is a nice feature. Other products have irritated my skins, however this hair remover left no irritation which was great. I was starting to think a product didn’t exist that would provide that type of result.
The LED light is super helpful to make sure you are using the product where you intend to use it. Some LED lights are a little harsh, however this one is perfect so you don’t blind yourself while trying to gently remove facial hair.
There is a built in mirror on the lid of the hair remover which seems a little pointless and oddly placed. I prefer to use a regular mirror though so for folks that may like having the tiny mirror built-in that could be a helpful feature.
The product does include a battery so you are ready to go out of the package and there is a little brush included to help keep the product clean which is a new tool to include.
Overall, I like the facial hair remover. It’s super gentle and effective so I would highly recommend it.

This little beauty accessory is designed specifically for women and is perfect for removing even the finest hairs on upper lip, chin, cheeks, and jawline. What’s particularly noteworthy is that, like other hair removal techniques, it doesn’t trigger the common worry of inducing thicker or darker regrowth, which is a constant source of concern.
In terms of convenience, this facial hair remover is both compact and lightweight. The integrated mirror, although somewhat petite, proves helpful, and the inclusion of a mini brush for cleaning is a considerate touch. However, it would enhance convenience further if there were a dedicated storage compartment for the brush.
A couple of drawbacks worth mentioning are the device’s noise level, which tends to be on the louder side, and the limited functionality of the petite mirror. Furthermore, it’s vital to emphasize that using the device in close proximity to the eye area is not advisable due to safety concerns.
Overall, the Philips facial hair remover stands out as a practical, painless, and efficient tool for eliminating unwanted facial hair. Its portability and user-friendliness make it an excellent addition to any beauty regimen, despite a couple of minor limitations.

This Philips Series 5000 Facial Hair Remover is a basic little shaver, but is easy-to-use and works great.
I have a similar type device (of another brand), but in all honestly, I prefer this Philips. As an older woman, from time to time I need to remove some pesky facial hair around my upper lip area and the underside of my chin. This facial hair remover does so with a nice quiet ‘hum’, and provides a pleasant smooth non-irritating shave.
There are several features on this shaver worth noting. The light ring is more than bright enough to see what you’re doing, but not too bright for your eyes. The cap has a mirror which comes in handy if you don’t happen to be near a full-sized bathroom or vanity mirror. It also comes with a tiny brush to clean out the hair collected from inside the head chamber.
A cool minor detail found on the mirror cap is a small flat ‘stand’ which allows the shaver to rest upon a surface, and to stay put or not roll all over.
However, as this personal facial hair remover is designed to be ultra-portable and travel friendly, it would be nice if it came with a simple fabric sheath which would help protect the shaver.
Do I recommend this Philips Series 5000 Facial Hair Remover? Yes.

As I’ve aged, facial hair has become a source of annoyance. It is challenging to remove. I hoped this Philips remover would be a great solution. It is just okay. I found that it charges easily and I appreciate not having to add batteries. The device is round with a flat lid. If you lay it down on its side, it can very easily roll off and fall to the floor. I know because it happened. Fortunately it didn’t break. It will store upright sitting on its head so it takes less space. The bottom is narrower than the head so that you can hold it easily, but the thicker top is what I usually grasp so the grip feels awkward. I love the lighted feature, one of the best features of the device. The shave itself left my skin feeling very slightly irritated, almost like the head scratched a tiny bit. I found that it wouldn’t get all the hairs requiring multiple passes. The worst part was that the very next morning, the stubble was visible. My other similarly made device is smoother and gets a cleaner cut without irritation and allows me to go several days without a touch up. This Philips wouldn’t be my first choice.

I was pleasantly surprised with how wonderfully gentle this Phillips facial hair removal device was on my skin. I had use in the past two different types of facial hair removal tools and was not happy with how it sometimes cut my skin or all together would just stop working all of the sudden.
Before getting my Phillips facial hair removal; I would have to use my tweezers to remove my facial hair. That can be a super long process of tweezing each hair individually which has been such a hassle for me. I am glad to now have a really useful quick tool like the Phillips hair removal; moreover, not only did I find that it was gentle on my sensitive skin but the whole process was quick and simple.
When I received the product I found the instructions fairly easy to follow. The little brush that it comes with is great to clean the hair removal head. This device is great to remove hairs on my upper lip and chin and my forehead with no pain at all and it leaves my skin feeling smooth. I really like the light that this little tool has; it allows me to see the area I am working on. The mirror is cute however, I see it being more of use when I’m on the go and I don’t have a chance to use my Phillips facial hair removal at home and need a quick trimming. I’m very happy with my simplistic tool; it’s exactly what I wanted!
If you’re looking for something that’s simple that can remove your facial hair in a breeze then this is the perfect tool for you.

This is one of the best shaving products I have owned. I am very self-conscious about my facial hair. Due to hormonal imbalances, I grow more facial hair than most women, and I tend to shave it almost daily. But sometimes I just forget, and in the past when I would forget and end up going out in public or to work, I would just be very self-conscious the rest of the day. But this is the perfect size to fit in my purse or just leave in the car. It even has a built-in light and mirror so you can use it just about anywhere. It also gives a really close shave and leaves my skin feeling so smooth. It is even better than the full-size shaver I use daily. One thing I will say is that it runs on a single AA battery. I’m not sure how I feel about this yet. It’s nice to not have to worry about charging yet anther device, but I would really hate to go use it only to find out it has a dead battery. I think would have preferred a rechargeable battery. But even with that one small drawback, the advantages far outweigh it and I would still give this 5 stars and easily recommend it to all my friends.

I had high hopes for the Philips 5000 Facial Hair Remover as I like my other Philips personal care products. However, those hopes weren’t realized. Then again, I’m an old broad with saggy skin. In the places on my face where I could pull the skin taut enough, it worked fine. Problem is I couldn’t do that for all areas I need the hair remover. So, instead of feeling smooth skin, I feel stubble. I couldn’t see the stubble in the mirror, but I could feel it. It would probably work well on younger skin or for someone who has tighter skin.
I originally gave it three stars as I feel it is pretty average for this type of facial hair remover but it does have one feature that impressed me — it is painless. I found a few stray hairs that were more than stubble on my cheek and figured why not try it. It mowed those puppies down without it feeling like they were being ripped out. Now the saggy skin factor did kick in, but this is the first pain free facial hair remover I’ve tried. So it earned an extra star. I think if someone has older, looser skin, they should be aware that while their skin might not feel smooth; it will look it.

The Philips Series 5000 Facial Hair Remover is basically a single-headed electric razor similar to a man’s electric shaver. However, that’s where the similarity ends, as this is designed for grooming of the finer facial hair of women. It’s fairly small and lightweight, fitting easily in a shallow bathroom cabinet drawer or discretely in a purse for traveling. It uses a single AA battery that is included, so there are no bulky chargers or tangled cords to mess with. It does come with a cleaning brush to clean the shaving head, but there isn’t a case to keep the shaver and brush conveniently together. My wife thinks it works great on her face and makes applying makeup so much smoother and easier after removing the fine hairs. The single head makes it easy to get into tight places. Cleaning is a breeze, just twist off the shaving head and either give it a good blow with your breath or use the brush to remove any stubborn debris. The LED light is helpful to see but the mirror is pretty tiny and better to use a larger lighted magnifying mirror on a stand for best results. I suppose the mirror could come in handy when traveling. For the price and portability, it’s easy to give this tiny shaver five stars.

I got this for my wife who sometimes has very fine hair growth on her face. Since this shaver is catered to women, it worked as expected. It gently removed the hair with no issue. It seemed to also help when it came to applying makeup with smoother skin. For the low price and the excellent results, there isn’t much to complain about. I would prefer it to have an internal rechargeable battery but that is a minor flaw. There is a mirror included in the cap, although it is small. However, it is better than having no mirror at all, especially if you are out and about and feel the need for a quick shave but have no other mirror handy. Although we haven’t owned it that long, it is touted as having self-sharpening blades which should make it last for quick some time. Again, with a low price, this is a great perk for longevity. Also, according to the description on the Best Buy website, there is a 24-month warranty which is exceptional considering the low price of the shaver. Overall, this is recommended for any lady that wants a nice smooth face.

Used by my wife. Reviewed by both of us. Written and posted by me.
If you have unwanted face fuzz, the Philips 5000 does a great job removing it. My husband thinks I’m a bit OCD about removing facial hair. Most, he says, he can’t even see unless he’s up close with a light. But I can feel them and know they are there, in my chin area. And, I’ve always had some light lady sideburns even though I’m a redhead. This is the device I’ve been looking for. He / we have reviewed a couple of trimmers over the years and they both have shaver heads and they do a good job shaving. But not as good for fine face hair as the Philips 5000.
My 89 year old mother even gave it a try and liked it.
It’s easy to handle and use, and not too noisy. There are 8 small self sharpening blades rotating in the head and making metal to metal contact. So, it’s going to make some noise. But it’s no louder than the aforementioned trimmers. It has a built-in light around the head and a flat area so it won’t roll away when sitting on its side. The protective cap for the head has a small magnifying mirror on the end of it.
It runs on one AA battery. To install, you twist and remove the tapered end cap. Drop in a battery, reinstall the cap and twist until you feel the first indented stop and the dots line up. To turn on, twist the cap farther until it turns on and the cap locks into the second indent.
After use, twist the cutting head cap until it comes off. It’s very easy to remove and replace. Use the brush to clean the cutting head. Preferably over a trash can. Philips says the blades (8) are self sharpening. I rinse the cutting head while I have it off with hot water every few uses because I have oily skin and prone to breakouts. I just pat it dry and put it back on after I’m sure it’s dry.
It feels well made and comes with a battery and cleaning brush.

The Philips Series 5000 Facial Hair Remover is not so much a “remover” as it is a “shaver.” Those who are hoping for something to gently pluck their excess facial hair should look elsewhere (if there even is an elsewhere to look).
I am a mid-40s woman who has long dealt with some thicker scraggly chin hairs. Most of my neck is covered in peach fuzz, but it doesn’t really much bother me.
My main method of dealing with said chin hairs has been to pluck them with great care while looking in a mirror after a shower. Yes, this causes some pain and discomfort, but it generally gets the job done well, with no leftover stubble to feel poking through my skin.
I was excited to try the 5000 series facial hair remover because I thought it would mean some respite from the quasi-regular plucking and discomfort, but I was a bit let down to discover this is essentially just a single-microfoil shaver. That being said, the Philips 5000 does a decent job, it’s just not as thorough as plucking, and opens up a can of worms in that it puts you on the road to daily shaving.
I’m not quite ready to go there yet, but I will probably be someday, and when that time comes, I will use this and can say “this thing is decent.”
It is extremely simple to use, and does do a pain-free job of shaving hairs off, and with some motion and coaxing, can result in a pretty close shave. I like how compact it is, which makes it ultra portable. The mirror on the cap is also a nice touch.
I don’t like that the LED light isn’t very bright (my aging eyes need a brighter light to truly see what’s going on down there).
All-in-all, this is a decent option, but not life-changing. I recommend it if you’re at the age to need a daily or almost-daily touch up.

This is a prime example of a simple product solving a simple (yet annoying) problem. It doesn’t have a ton of bells and whistles and tons of extra things like Bluetooth connectivity and things like that you don’t need. Its a simple shaver, and it does what its intended to do very well. Out of the box its very lightweight and is definitely made with thinner plastic. I wouldn’t drop it on a hard floor cause it would probably break, but bouncing around in your purse or a drawer, it should be fine.
It has very simple operation. You just take off the cap, turn on the power, and run it over the areas you need to shave. Its as simple as that. Granted, this isn’t going to be able to handle longer hairs, but the short annoying ones that grow under your lip or on your cheeks this works perfect for. So guys, don’t buy this thinking its a beard or mustache trimmer, its not! I have been using it for about a week now and I found it to be very effective at removing the hairs I need it to. I didn’t notice any irritation or anything like that, and the unit is also very easy to clean. One little bonus feature is that in the cap there is a tiny mirror. It really is extremely small, but in a pinch it could be useful to have. There is also a led light ring around the tip of the unit making it easier to see what you are shaving. All in all this is a great product that does what its intended to do very well!

Overall, I liked this facial hair remover. The head size was pretty good for removing hair from several parts of my face, particularly on the chin. However, I wish there were interchangeable heads, different sizes and possibly shapes that could be used for different parts of the face. For instance, the upper lip/under those nose area and around my temples and eyebrows. I have PCOS, so I was hoping this would help with some of those hard-to-reach places, but the head is too big to do that safely…meaning I didn’t want to risk taking out my eyebrows or cutting into my hairline. Philips sells other devices of different sizes like this. I would prefer to pay a little bit more and get more of an all in one device for handling all parts of my face.
When it came to actually removing the hair in places that could be reached with this particular head size (which is about the size of a quarter, maybe a little bigger), it worked pretty well. I did find I had to get the angle just right in a couple of places and go back over spots several times to get all of the hair. And every once in a while, it would catch a hair or two and pull, which was a bit uncomfortable. One thing I did really appreciate is the built-in light that comes on when you turn the device on. It makes it much easier to see the hairs and make sure you don’t miss a spot. It was also very easy to pop the head off and clean.
Overall, not my favorite, but it does work. I think this could have been done better though.

This trimmer is a lot smaller than I expected, but honestly that’s a good thing. It’s one piece of hardware, without any chargers to deal with, in a small enough size to easily fit in a purse. It’s perfect for things like travel or camping – having the mirror and the light as part of the trimmer and it’s lid means I don’t have to set aside quite as much space for hygiene things when I’m going somewhere. The batteries are also easy to change, which is nice.
As far as function goes, it works pretty well. Phillips kept it simple – there’s one setting, and only one head to worry about cleaning. It would have been really neat if they’d found somewhere on the body of the trimmer to hide the brush they included for cleaning out the head, but otherwise I’ve got no complaints. It does its job and keeps my skin smooth, and I haven’t any issues with it. I haven’t had any discomfort or nicks, and since it takes about the same time to go over my face with this trimmer as it does a razor and I don’t have to use water or shaving butter with this and it still keeps my skin smooth I’d say it’s definitely an improvement over shaving. I’d definitely recommend this.

If you’re looking for an affordable solution to female, facial fuzz the Philips 5000 Facial Hair Remover is a good option. This is the first device of this type that I’ve tried so I don’t really have a means of comparison should there be something better out there. This particular facial hair remover meets some nice criteria whether you use it daily or weekly.
Setup is as simple as unscrewing the bottom half to insert an AA battery that is supplied in the box. The plastic material that makes up most of the remover is suitably durable to make the device very lightweight, but could break should it hit the ground at the wrong angle. Keep in mind that this costs less than $20 so well worth it. The size of the remover is perfect for portability and will travel easily in a makeup bag or purse.
The facial hair remover does have a built-in mirror on the protection cap which is fine for times that a mirror may not be available, but its not something you’d want to use over a bathroom or makeup mirror. The full circle LED light is helpful for added illumination.
Philips notes this is intended to remove facial hair from the cheeks, forehead, jawline, in between the eyebrows and from the area above the upper lip. It specifically states to not use it on the eyebrows and the areas right above and below your eyes.
To use the facial hair remover one simply has to remove the protection cap and turn the bottom part of the handle to the on indicator position. The light ring will come on automatically. One should then place the removal head flat on your skin and move the device in a circular direction until desired results are achieved. It may take more circular movements in areas with more facial fuzz, but it is a fairly quick process with good results. The hair removal head is smooth and results in a painless process. Frequency of use is going to depend on how fast one’s hair grows back, but the process is easy to do and doesn’t take long. Once complete, it is important to blow fuzz off of the removal head and clean it with the provided brush. Definitely follow the instructions to twist and unscrew the hair removal head to complete the same cleaning steps to get hair out of the inside of the head. The brush comes in very handy for this to get the hair out of the small chambers. Simply screw the hair removal head back on the handle and it’s ready for the next use.
I’m interested to see the long-term durability of the Philips 5000, but it’s less than $20 so I feel like its not going to be hard to get one’s money’s worth.

I recently had the pleasure of trying out the Philips Series 5000 Facial Hair Remover, and I must say that it has truly changed my skincare routine for the better. This little device offers an unparalleled level of convenience and, thanks to its integrated light, makes it a breeze to remove those pesky, hard-to-see facial hairs.
One of the standout features of the Philips Series 5000 Facial Hair Remover is its remarkable convenience. Unlike traditional hair removal methods, this device is compact, portable, and doesn’t require any messy creams or painful waxing. You can use it anytime, anywhere, whether you’re at home or on the go. Its ergonomic design fits comfortably in your hand, making it easy to maneuver around your face, leaving you with soft, smooth skin in no time. I usually breakout with waxing and this leaves my skin pretty smooth with no breakouts at all.
The integrated light is an absolute game-changer. This feature is particularly useful for finding those fine hairs that are often invisible in regular lighting conditions. The light illuminates even the finest facial hair, allowing you to target them precisely. Why are there some hairs you can only see in your car mirror? This means no more squinting in the mirror or using a magnifying glass to ensure you haven’t missed any stray hairs. With the Philips Series 5000, you’ll achieve a thorough and flawless hair removal experience.
The precision of this facial hair remover is truly impressive. It features a high-quality rotating head t
Maintenance is a breeze too. The Philips Series 5000 comes with a detachable head that can be easily cleaned and reused, ensuring long-lasting performance and value for your money.
In summary, the Philips Series 5000 Facial Hair Remover is a revolutionary tool that has simplified and improved the process of removing facial hair. Its unmatched convenience, ergonomic design, and integrated light to help you find those elusive hairs set it apart from the competition. Say goodbye to the hassle of waxing or threading and hello to smooth, radiant skin with this fantastic device. I can’t recommend it enough; it’s a must-have for any woman looking for a hassle-free and efficient way to maintain their facial grooming routine.

The Phillips series 5000 Facial Hair Remover is a shaver specifically designed for women’s delicate skin. It has a small surface area that allows to get the upper lip and under the nose without issue. It works great on the upper lip, chin and cheeks and jaw line, but on the cheeks, I kind of wish its surface area was a bit bigger. Just my personal preference but it does work great as is. It’s a bit on the louder side for its size but not so loud as some electric men’s models. It does shave well without pulling or causing pain at the shaver site. I thought the mirror is just too small, but it would be great for others I suppose that have better eyes than myself.
That being said, with the name Phillips Series 5000 Facial Hair remover, I wasn’t expecting a shaver, but perhaps an epilator or maybe a laser hair remover. I was a bit disappointed that the name didn’t give an honest representation of what the device actually was.
My first part of the review is reviewing what I received. I wish the name was not misleading. This is why I gave three stars.

Got this for the wife because, in her own words, was starting to feel like Magnum PI and reviewed by both of us.
Set up was super simple, insert battery and go. She’s used it twice now and said it’s good for about an every two week use. The LED light makes seeing what you’re doing easy, a built in mirror in the cap, which she really likes and of course the color, she digs it big time!!
This is a lightweight device, (1/2 pound) for dry shaving use only, do not use in the shower as you will destroy it. Working in small strokes she was able to easily remove any unwanted face fuzz. Not once did get nicked, hair grabbed or cut. It was so good she wishes she could use it on her leg hair but the manual warms it’s not designed for coarse hair. Lastly the blades have a self sharpening system so it’ll always perform at peak.
There’s no carrying case but since it’s so small it can fit into small purse easily, it will not fit in a clutch.
Wife’s ecstatic about having this and I’m happy she’s not plucking her face to death anymore.

I have been using this Philips Facial Hair remover for some time and found it to be very helpful for me especially on the go. This is a perfect compact travel size device. Allowing for it to be with me no matter where I go. It is built very well and has a great design choice. The protective cap is very helpful as it has a built in mirror. With a mirror this makes it very portable. Then they added the led light and it takes it over the top. You can literally be anywhere in a dark car, a concert, a night club bathroom with no light. You are go to go. It is very good and efficient at getting rid of peach fuzz and also any stray thicker hairs with ease. The light makes it easy to find that hair that you missed. Only issues that are miner with it that I have with it currently is that: 1. It is not a rechargeable battery. It’s a AA (included). I wish it was rechargeable to make it extra portable and make able to you charge it on the go in case the battery runs out while on the go. 2. The included brush doesn’t fit in the case or device so it will get lost inevitably. I wish there was a slot for it to keep it all self contained. That being said it is a great hair remover for traveling and on the go and is great addition to any bag.
PsykoPup –
Another product that just works. I am very pleasantly surprised by this little tool. I normally go the dermaplane route for removing all the peach fuzz, which this tool is perfect for. It’s important to note that the Philips Series 5000 Facial Hair Remover is not as effective on thicker hairs, it is a great option for those with fine to medium hair. It is also important to note that the device requires regular cleaning to maintain its performance.
I’ve used epilators in the past and they were a painful experience. The Philips Facial Hair Remover is very gentle, yet effective at removing unwanted facial hair. The hypoallergenic head is designed to be gentle on sensitive skin, and the built-in LED light helps to ensure that all hairs are removed. I did notice that you need to use slow, circular motions to effectively remove all the hair. The compact and portable design makes it easy to take with you on the go, and it is easy to clean. I also appreciated that it doesn’t need to be charged. With the included AA battery, it was usable right away. One thing this tool doesn’t accomplish, that dermaplaning does, is removing dead skin. For that reason, I will not completely give up dermaplaning.
Overall, the Philips Series 5000 Facial Hair Remover is a great value for the price. It is a gentle and effective way to remove unwanted facial hair, and it is easy to use and maintain.

The Philips 5000 compact facial shaver comes ready with all you need in the box. The shaver runs on an included AA battery. The shaver comes with a cover for the shaver head that snaps on and off and protects the blade. There is a tiny mirror in the cap that will allow you to see the results of your ‘shave’. The razor is small and will fit in a purse or car glove box easily for portability. The shaver is quiet and works very well. The cut you get is very close to the skin without worrying about cutting your skin or razor burn. Love how this works and that I can carry it with me. There is an included small brush to clean the razor head when it becomes clogged. The only thing I would like to have seen, was a way to attach the brush to the shaver so I don’t have to keep up with it separately. However, since this is not used every time the shaver is used it is not a deal breaker. Overall, works great and would recommend to friends. Thank you Philips for adding a shaver for the occasional touch up.

This little guy packs a punch. I was surprised at how small it is even though its a facial hair remover so it needs to be small. It definitely does the trick. I wouldn’t say this is groundbreaking, new technology, but the manufacturer does it well. I have used a razor before to get the peach fuzz off but never used an electric shaver. Luckily I only have peach fuzz but it does the trick quickly.
The only complaints I have about this device is that it is louder than expected, doesn’t always get the hair the first time around, and the battery access is the same as the on/off switch. I expected the device to be a little quieter since its small but it wasn’t. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not extremely loud, but I can’t use it when my fiancé is sleeping in the room next to me. I generally have to make multiple passes to get everything smooth. In order to change out the batteries, you twist the bottom cap and it pops open. The problem is that you turn the device on and off by twisting that same cap, so I’m constantly accidentally popping the batteries out of it.
Overall, it is a good device that will get the job done. It has a little mirror on the cap that makes it great to travel with and the batteries are easy to replace.

The Phillips Series 5000 Facial Hair Remover is a handy tool to have around for those unsightly hairs that pop up.
It is small and very lightweight, perfect to carry around if you have a more oversized purse or definitely for travel. It has a light that comes on during operation to illuminate the target area.
This unit was ready to go out of the box – all I had to do was put the battery in, and it was ready for action. The operation is simple: turn it on and start attacking hairs.
As far as hair removal goes, it works okay. Longer hairs took a few passes to remove; however, shorter hairs came off in one or two passes. Hair removal is entirely painless, a huge plus compared to epilation, IPL, or waxing! When using this in a brightly lit bathroom mirror, the light wasn’t adequate.
For me, hair grew back fairly quickly – though everyone’s experiences will be different when dealing with personal grooming. I will definitely keep this around as a maintenance tool and something to take on trips; however, based on performance, I will still stick to waxing for regular removal and use this in between waxings for touch-ups.

My girlfriend takes pride in self-care, but her busy schedule sometimes interrupts her routine. This product compliments her skin care regimen well and allows for more frequent maintenance on her face. She said it works well, is easy to use, comfortable when using, and gives a smooth result.
