This is my first electric shaver. Works great for a quick clean up shave. Best advice read directions and watch videos. Works best as a dry shaver, tended to nick myself using it with shaving gel. Haven’t quite figured out the Bluetooth feedback, led indicator is helpful for me because I tend to be heavy handed.

I find the tutorial color lights annoying, but there is a way to turn them off. Other than that, it gives you a good consistent shave every time.

Outstanding electric razor. I think this is the best razor out there. I have sensitive skin and this model razor does not cause any skin irritaion at all. All of my previous razors did. Its abit expensive, but it does the job well. I highly recommned this razor to anyone.

We read where it takes time to get used to this razor. My 18 year old struggled to use it & had to go back over his face multiple times. It caused a lot of redness. He said I’m out! Back to razors. May work for more experienced beards.

This is the best shaver I’ve ever owned. I currently have a top of the line Braun shaver too, but it nicks me every time I use it. It’s the type with blades that go back and forth. The Philips Norelco uses the rotary blades and they simply work better and do not nick me. The cleaner is quiet and cleans the shaver in just a minute or two. It really is worth the price.

As an African American man, I find the Norelco 9500 gives a good close shave without irritation. A couple of issues I had are the numbering system Norelco uses when one registers the unit online, there was not a stand included in the box and the carrying case doesn’t have room for the stand (I bought separately) or the power cord so make sure you charge the unit before you travel.

I can’t believe how well this shaver shaves. It even picks up those pesky white hairs that lay flat to give a totally smooth shave. My 15 year old norelco never could shave this well not even with new shave heads. Well designed and thought out.

Received the Norelco 9500 for Christmas and it replaced a 10 year-old Norelco SensoTouch 3D. The 9500 performed a better shave straight out of the box. The halo lighting to guide your shave is a great feature and ensures consistent pressure and coverage. I did set up the app to provide shaving feedback and so far it has been fairly useful. Daily cleaning is easy with the included Quick Clean base and both the cleaning solution and new blades are relatively inexpensive. The only negatives as compared to my old SensoTouch 3D is that the sideburn / moustache trimmer doesn’t trim as well and the fact that the main blades are so far from the edge of the razor makes it hard to get hair under my nose.

This shaver works great in the wider areas of the face. But it doesn’t do a good in tight places (i.e. mustache/upper lips close to nose).

Not better, and in fact inferior, to the fatter, cheaper ones. Can’t get under the nose as well. Not a stronger motor. I guess I cheaped out and should have coughed up to the next price point, the $300 series. It will do for now.
