  1. Snooz

I love the quick on/off switch, the quick focus and shutter, the heft of the camera (solidly built), and excellent image stabilization, but 24X zoom is just not enough for my birding photos especially since I gave up a 60X Zoom Nikon P600 that I did not like as it was slow, I had problems with it that occurred on overseas trips (not a happy camper) and other cameras I have owned have more zoom than 24X. I would recommend it to non-
birding friends. Please make another camera with at least 40X zoom that does not break the bank.

  2. Cameranut

I researched cameras for quite some time before deciding to purchase this one. It was a replacement for my Kodak Max Z990. I am very pleased with the ease of use and quality of the photos. No problems and no complaints!

  3. falcon

I look on line and compared cameras of this type, ranked at the top of most reviews. Had it on my vacation and the pictures were very good. Have to learn more about the different settings.

  4. golferslw

This camera focuses fast, has a brighter viewfinder, is sturdier, and has more natural colors (not over saturated) than the 200 model. It also has some improved features for taking photos at multiple exposures and does a much better job with panoramic photos. 4K videos are also very nice.

  5. Cosmo

Discovered the FZ series ten years ago, and have bought The FZ18,28,35,and three FZ200. All have been great. I love the FZ200 and after reading the review on FZ300, I wanted that also. I’m a Nikon user, with a D300, 750,800, D2, D2s andD5 I carry the FZ300 with me all the time. Some of the best shots have been with it, because I have it. Its high quality, A 2.8 lens, 25 to 600. Its unbelievable. I get ask often, what camera should I buy, I always say the FZ, I would quess I would guess near a hundred have purchased the FZ and all have loved them..I film for a lot of organizations including Journal photography, if I don’t know what I need before going, I pick the FZ300. Two different friends took the FZ on an Alaska Crew/ One of the wives took a DSL, then traded her husband for the FZ.

  6. EGG1234

I returned this item, because a friend sold me his for $400. This Open box item was a steal compared to retail price, but I already have two LX1000.
With it’s amazing telescopic lens, and it’s ability to use F2.8 at any length makes this the third camera for three camera video shoots. It’s sensor is not as big as that for the FX1000, but it’s extra large telescopic lens its newness, and its 4k video, makes it a tremendous value. I no longer shoot on camcorders, or DSLRs, I love these new point and shoots for all my work as a videographer and filmaker.

  7. micon

easy to use For a first use it was not at all confusing

  8. BunniAZ

The FZ300 replaces my old FZ100 with similar menus and added functionality. I love having an in-camera panorama. The added F buttons and touch screen make quick access to menu functions. The viewfinder is big and automatically turns off the LCD when you use it. It’s light weight which I needed — DSLRs are too heavy for my hands. Can’t say I love it but am enjoying it.

  9. BooBoo

I got this camera for an upcoming safari in Africa due to its combination of weatherproofing and camera (e.g. long zoom) features. It is a 1st choice in Digital Photography Review website. So I have been learning by using it along the nature trail next to my house. Birds galore. Great results for both distance and very close-up macro photography. Beginner point-and-shoot or use all its features for more advanced. Excellent higher end consumer (non-professional) level product

  10. Water

I bought this mainly for video recording because it has an external mic jack. Response is relatively slow and zooming noise is recorded. That’s why it is four stars in my mind. Still pictures are easy to take with high quality. Video quality is worse than iPhone. Considering its price, it is a great camera with SUPER ZOOM!!!. I just love it.

  11. RSPTerrebonne

This is an excellent camera with easy to understand instructions. It is easy to use and comfortable to carry. I highly recommend it.

  12. Donald

After conducting much research into various models of cameras, I decided to give this one a shot. I am glad I did! It has lots of great features and shoots amazing pictures. The price, considering the features, is very affordable, too.

  13. PapaBear

This camera is versatile and easy to use. One of the few that has both a screen and view finder. The latter feature overcomes the limitations of the screen in bright or blotchy light. Can be used as a point and shoot, but also has manual settings for more control. Larger and heavier than most point and shoots, but worth the trade off. Camera body is dust and water resistant another plus.
