Easy to install.
Excellent sound.
No hiccups.
Worth the cost.

The Ooma Telo service has been saving more than $25/month from what our previous cable bundle was charging… $300 yearly!!!
JrG1 –
Ooma is a great voip phone service and cheap. I have been using Ooma for 15 years now and love it.
RobertS –
I had the old ooma back in the 2010 or 2011. Old ooma work good for a while til power is dead. Bought a new one and it is great and neater than old one. Easy to set up and follow the instruction.
VickiH –
Extremely unrealiable. It’s ok when it works but half the time it won’t stay connected! I do not recommend.
EdJinCT –
Porting my home phone number was easy. The setup was not bad. I did use the ethernet connection instead of choosing the WiFi option. This was a good alternative for my VOIP phone, which allowed me to cut the cord.
Ooma also provides a second phone number. The app is also pretty impressive.
FrankW –
Great hardware and good service.
I replaced the unit after about 5 years, then noticed a year later that they were charging me $17/month, presumably because they gave me a “free” upgrade for one month. I was never given the option for just the basic plan, which is great for $3-7/ month.
Tell the agent you do not want the Premier trial service.

We used to have a home phone via Xfinity’s voice over internet and that worked fine, but we had to drop Xfinity when their cable TV service quit working at our residence. We got T-Mobile 5G home internet and Dish satellite TV instead and saved a lot of money. Still wanting a home phone, we bought Ooma Telo, noting that their web site said the device works with T-Mobile 5G home internet. In short, it doesn’t. It was easy to set up and it works fine for outgoing calls, but on incoming calls the caller hears nothing but a garbled mess. We’ve spent hours talking to both Ooma and T-Mobile tech support and have gotten nowhere. Perhaps this works with some internet service providers, but not with ours. Buyer beware.

I got a good idea. I was told to go to Best Buy to find anything I need. And they was right.
haraf –
Great device, you can make phone calls very easy, I really love it
MaxC –
I purchased because they said they have Google Voice Integrations. After several phone calls with Ooma support technicians, the GV integration has not been working for over 2 months, and they have no plans to fix. Very disappointing.
PavelV –
No issues with it. Wasn’t too difficult to set up.
JohnM –
Does exactly as promised. So far satisfied with the service. Was able to port the number easily and it went faster than planned.
CherylC –
Great product to use in conjunction with starlink.
Ouij –
Super easy to setup. this device made it easy to add a phone number to an existing internet account
DennisT –
Been using ooma for years box went bad ooma advised best-buy had the lowest price replaced and working great
HarryP –
This is a replacement Ooma. The original was at least 15 years old. The device and technology is great. Ooma customer service not so great. One has to call Ooma customer service and wade through their automated system to explain that you have an account and are installing a replacement unit. Took 2 days. Otherwise its working great.
Dayvish –
Works great. No monthly charge if you have the T-Mobile home internet modem/router.
QCman –
Works great. Porting my number went smoothly and on time. I cant tell the difference between ooma & AT&T After the initial purchase, and the cost of porting the number I will be saving big time. I was paying $37 and change with AT&T and will be paying $6.11 a month with the basic service.
John –
Simple to order and activate; they took care of the ‘port’ transfer of our home phone; there are many options they offer but we only needed the basic. I hope lasts for many years and saves us a ton of money.
JonJ –
I’ve been using Ooma now for a couple of years. I like having phones all over the house and not being tied to one device (a cell phone, which I also have) that I have to keep worrying about recharging or losing “out there”. At about $7 a month, Ooma makes this option practical.
MarilynD –
Used Ooma several years ago, now using for my Dad at assisted living facility. His eyesight prevents him from using a cell phone. It’s working fine for him.
idfarmboy –
Have had the Ooma service for 3 months. Works at designed. Easy setup and has mobile app control of account features. Not much to the device, so not much more to say. If you want just the basic wired service, works just fine.
Brandon –
Been an Ooma customer for years and they’re a fantastic service. Great pricing and reliable products!
DNan –
Works perfectly from reception to transmitting a call. Very easy to install!
docajl –
Returned it because it would not function with my phone system. Several customer service people gave me different advice to connect but did not work
MarkG –
We have been using the Ooma VOIP telephone service for over 15 years. It is reliable and has saved us a few thousand dollars over that time. We finally had to replace the very old box.
SP59 –
Replaced my phone service from cable provider.
Signed up for premiere service with Ooma.
Great features and saved $$$.
The Telo works as advertised.
No regrets with the change.
SeanB –
I really like the Ooma modem. Very easy to set up. Great product!!
cquerious –
Did not work after following setup procedure. Ooma technicians set device up remotely.
BarryM –
we spend $6/month to have a reliable land-line service in our house. The signal is clear, it works great, and the Ooma customer service is excellent. We’ve had it for many years and will continue to do so. Cell service in our rural location is spotty, so this is a great solution.
Southman –
Ooma works perfectly and is even great for faxing. Calls are in HD and clear as a bell. Right on Ooma
AaronS –
Love the product! Save so much money compare to Comcast/at&t!!
ShantY –
Good quality phone service, inexpensive, just pay taxes.
DonW –
Easy to install and works well as a replacement for my landline.
user911396 –
The Ooma system is easy to set up and easy to use. Plus all you pay are taxes every month and a $1 911 fee that totals less than $10 per month! And with the Ooma app you can use your home phone on your cell phone! I love it!
DeniaM –
I had a little hiccup with install but Ooma customer service is outstanding and helped me through the process.
Unknown –
So far so good. Easy to set up and port our old phone number. Saving $40+ or more over AT&T. It was tough because 99% of the calls to our home phone were telemarketing but now and again a real one comes through, so this was a good alternative.
RobF –
Switched from my telco provider to this unit. Audio quality is excellent. Great value for people who still want to use a home phone.
VictoriaR –
This is an awesome product and a much more affordable option for a home phone than the expensive cable companies.
SheilaH –
This is my second purchase of the Ooma Telo for a second home. I highly recommend this device for anyone in need of a home telephone. The device is very easy to setup.
Miles –
I really wanted this thing to work. Was a pain in the butt to set up. And calls were clear but took a while to start making a connection to make the call. Customer service is bad for ooma as well.
Daveo –
Painless hookup. Works perfectly and at a fraction of the cost. Have already recommended to several people.
Felinefool –
A great buy to keep my home phone number and have a low monthyly bill. I highly recommend.
SeniorUser –
First, I received the ooma a mere 1 1/2 days after I ordered it. 2ndly, it worked. (Per instructions, I did not plug it in until after I registered it.) Between following the quick start booklet and more detailed (and simple) on line instructions, it was in service. To clarify, it’s been in service for only 3 weeks. 3rdly, the sound quality is great. Biggest bonus – I am no longer paying $85 a month for a land line.
Geezer –
perfect for my needs, land line without significant cost from other providers
Interceptor –
Bought to replace a 10 year old unit. The new unit worked fine but I am giving it 4 stars as instructions were for installing a new unit and not very helpful for replacing a unit. I had to call customer support to figure it out.
JimB –
Easy setup and working great. Monitor calls on your cell phone.
MarcelaW –
Set up was easy and it works great. It works with my old regular landline device. Porting old number took less than a week. Saving me a lot of money with the switch. Very happy with the purchase.
MommaTT –
This unit is wonderful. Easy setup. Less than 8$ a month. Of course it uses WiFi. A downloadable app also. I just connected it to a cordless phone I already had. I’ve had NO problems. Thank you Ooma
