    After not having music for 5 years and relying on Sirus and Pandora for my selection, it was great to get my music out of storage and play it on the new Onkyo CD player. Very easy to set up and enjoy the different functions of the system.

    Excellent value. Bought this CD player as open box. Looks new out of the box and performs very well. Easy to set up. Use it connected to and AV amp via coax cable to a DAC. Very good sound.

    I have a lot of cd’s, so I needed a good cd player. This is just what I was looking for. I like the random play and that I can change one cd when still playing a CD . I would recommend this CD player.

    I really didn’t want a 6 CD player but decided to risk it. I’m glad I did! Gives me more flexibility that I didn’t realize I wanted. Easy to install; instructions clear; my only issue is the print on the “buttons” is small & challenging for me to see, especially in the evening. I really am very happy with my new CD player.

    Nothing better than getting a machine with an error message of No Disc. Only after a call to Onkyo tech support did I find out it was a mfg defect. Then I get the pleasure of driving to Best Buy to return the CD player. I did get a replacement machine in two weeks, just in time for December 27th. So much for playing my Johnny Mathis Christmas CD. New machine is okay, but the random feature does have an akward pause between songs.

    Played CDs beautifully, but display did not work at all–totally blank. Tried to exchange it, but it is no longer available in stores or online. Very disappointed.

    Didn’t work waiting for replacement on dec 26th. Told it would be here after three weeks of return. No info from Best buy and tracking info . Said it would be here January 18th. Unsure how to rate since we are still waiting.

    I recently purchased (online) a new Sony receiver and a refurbished (1st time ever) Onkyo 6 disc CD player in “Excellent” condition.(btw, BB sent the Sony to the wrong state) As I anxiously and nervously unboxed the Onkyo … I was hoping that it was in good shape and … success! It’s gorgeous … not a scratch, looks untouched. The carousel operates smoothly and is nearly silent. BEAUTIFUL unit, very impressive … but it doesn’t work. No display and it can’t play any discs.

    I called BB and asked if they would give me a discount on a brand new model … nope. (so much for that “Total Tech” membership advantage!)

    The labeling on the player and the remote is hard to see. The quality is not as good as my previous Sony which i had for over 10 years

    A great player – super options. The only reason it’s rated a 4 star is because I had to order a 2nd player to get one that worked. The first player had a sensor issue that did not allow it to play. This problem seems to be common and has been reported in other reviews. If you order one you may have to try more than once. But once I got a good unit, it has been superb.

    Considering how difficult it is to find a good CD player, I am amazed at the quality. My classical music CD can be used for a little longer.

    Good features, nice design. Especially like the random function, which randomizes across the six discs. Two areas to be aware of – the unit weighs a fair amount, so be mindful of that. Also, the length of it may be bigger than some audio cabinets. I had to cut a hole in the back wall of my shelf so it would fit. Otherwise, no complaints. Good quality for the price.

    Item did not work. If your going to sell an item that is used and give it an excellent rating, you should be sure before it’s shipped that it works!!!
