Penny –
my brother bought me one and it worked very well. I decided to buy 2 more so that I could work the nikon creative light system. Read the manuals, also look at YouTube videos, there’s some minor steps missing, I suspect due to translation.
Friends99 –
Really good makes everything more clear let me know how it works out for you
Charuto –
I cant connect a radio receiver to it without a shoe adapter. I expected to at least, since is the 2nd top, has in it.
Drew –
Awesome flash. Better than internal flash. Easy to use.
Txgirll73 –
This is a major flash! It works great and lights the darkest of photos into really beautiful colors. Highly recommend.
Ssouth2009 –
This light is easy to use, very very bright and makes pictures look very good. We trust Nikon!!
MahNuel –
Great flash for intermediate photo enthusiast, wireless capabilities makes it great to work in addition with built-in flash.
Board –
Fair product for the price that provides decent results. The size is a little cumbersome along with short battery life

What a great flash for the price. It’s not the top of the line, which of course is much better, as you would expect 2 times the money. This to me is the best bang for the buck. I’ll probably end up getting a second one for my external flash photography on tripods if I set them up as slaves to camera’s master flash control.
It comes in a very nice case, has a diffuser, a stand, and some light filters. The reach is very adequate for what I do and the zoom lenses I use.
JohnnyD –
Was an intimidating purchase but she is not to hard to figure out really makes a difference in flash and lower flash recharge downtimes on the camera..
Rikky –
Flash works beautifully. I was shopping around and was going to get a budget flash but decided to spend the money and get the Nikon. It has worked flawlessly without issues every time. Very easy to use. If you’re out all day and using the flash bring extra batteries. The 4 AA’s should net you about 100-140 shots (depending on which batteries you use). The battery level is shown on the display.

My go-to flash! Already have another one that’s been great!

I am an amateur photographer and purchased the SB-700 for use with a Nikon D7200. While the 7200’s built-in flash is quite capable, it has limitations. The SB-700 works seamlessly with the 7200 and greatly enhances the range of flash options. It’s not the top of Nikon’s flash line, but offers the amateur photographer a great capability-to-price tool. There are plenty of off-brand compatible flashes out there for substantially less $’s. But after reading reviews of some of those, it was clear that a Nikon unit was the best choice by far.

Great lighting, premium quality, works the way I need!
Matthew –
Great upgrade for my D750. Previously was using a cheap $80 flash.
Photos look great, flash is very versatile and easy to adjust. I’m mainly using this for point and shoot without having to do more than adjust the direction of the flash itself. Results have been excellent.
Chris –
Nice flash for our Nikon d850. We haven’t used it very much so far, but when we have it performs just as we thought it would.
Mark –
Nikon flash is perfect for my wife’s Nikon D750 camera
Carolann –
This is my second one. I wore the first one out after many years of reliable use! Love this product
UsingonPS5 –
A bit pricey but it’s definitely top notch. Using with a Nikon D850 and I love it. Easy to use and set up. I’m impressed with the quality of pictures when using this. It really helped maximize the potential of the D850!
Greatmemorycard –
Great flash unit for my Nikon D800 … priced right and in stock; fast delivery
Makai –
This is an excellent flash for specific Nikon DSLR cameras.
LoveIt –
Love this flash. I use it mainly on my D7500 and it works great.
Wolf –
Great flash! Easy to use! Great quality! I love it
Chewy –
For my purposes, this flash is a win! I am nowhere near a professional photographer but I do enjoy quality product which helps me realize my artistic vision. A longtime fan of Nikon, I have always had my eye on this flash. I saw the opportunity to upgrade when I went mirrorless so I took a chance. I have not regretted my decision. A very instinctual lens to use, I felt like I didn’t need to read the manual too much.
BBags –
I’m still learning how to use all of the features on this flash, but I have to say, I loooove it. Makes all the difference on almost all shots. Incredibly fast turnaround, too. Wanted to get a cheaper flash but read how long between flashes, and I couldn’t afford to waste 4-7 seconds of time. Great upgrade!
4flexn –
I wanted to upgrade from the standard flash to improve my photos. This was an excellent choice for the price. It included everything you need for a variety of projects.
Debeard705 –
Love this guy. Can’t remember exactly what we’d bought it for, but it’s still around and lights shots beautifully. We put a magmod on it as well and the stuff you can do is fantastic. Fast response time and batteries last a long time.
PhotographyPurpose –
Bought this item for photography to shoot events, and I am liking it.
MRBU –
I don’t use the flash much, but it has come in handy on a couple of occasions so far. It is definitely helpful indoors. I’m just still learning on how to make the necessary adjustments. It is simple enough for even a novice like myself to make simple adjustments. A little more reading and I’ll figure out how to take more advantage of it.
RainbowBlight –
This is a great flash and as a huge help to photography, specifically inside. Think of Christmas Eve when the lights are low and it’s hard to shoot at a good ISO. Throwing this bounce flash and your problems are solved.
Nikon should include wireless transmitters for the price. It wouldn’t cost them anything.
Alex –
I had to buy this flash to be able to use my flash in remote
Hola –
Love it! The settings were a bit confusing at the beginning but once you figure it out, it becomes your bff.
VirginiaBeachSarah –
Love this flash! It works great on camera and for off camera use! Gives plenty of light! When you’re consistently shooting at full power, you will drain the batteries rather quickly, so be sure to have some spares so you can swap them out!
Nikon –
I used this flash for nikon D500 and nikon D780 . Ít’s very good . I bought at bestbuy
Nmunoz –
This speedlight is perfect! I rarely need one but I feel confident with it
Copandmedic –
Good flash but difficult to sync off camera. Returned and went back to cannon
Geoboy –
I bought this as a gift for my wife who loves taking photos of our kids! This flash adds so much color and details to the picture! It’s a MUST HAVE!
Rivas39 –
Works great, purchased to replace off brand flash that seemed to work off and on. I have used on a couple of shoots with no issues
ArtB –
Good quality flash. Best Buy had it when others were out of stock without indication when they would have it. And fair price.
IanA –
We ordered two flashes. We opened one and it worked fine. The other we did not end up needing for a year – when we opened it it didn’t work. The motor grinds when turns on and displays an error light. Approx $150 repair to fix if we go that route. Now we’re past the return window and a brand new flash that doesn’t work. Extremely disappointed, lesson learned.
Vicclarkphotography –
Excellent Flash – Works perfectly with my Nikon D750 and Nikon Z6ii
TimothyH –
Worked great until 2 weeks after the 1 year warranty. TTL mode stopped working when connected to camera. Had to spend $200 to be fixed by Nikon when original product was only $350 itself.
Lyndi –
Used it once. Seems like the capacitor went out.
spankyf14 –
Works great. Used it many times and no problems!!!!!
NikonUser –
Can’t go wrong with Nikon. Love love love it and want more
TaylorM –
Worth every penny! It’s come with me to every wedding I’ve shot and done its job!
