TECHNERD –
Stay away for the moment Nextbase needs to workout ALL the bugs. Sometimes it records and sometimes it doesn’t.
When it records the video quality is good. Combined this with the price of the front windshield camera all the current bugs aren’t worth the hassle.
Hopefully Nextbase will get this together in the future. But for the moment let this bake a bit longer.

Installed the 4K IQ in my car with also this rear cam. The rear cam is not ready for prime time. It connects and disconnects intermittently. The app/software has too many bugs that need to be addressed. Also, Nextbase should push updates more often.

I returned my iq rear camera because I couldn’t get it to work now i see it’s not available anywhere there must be a problem with them at the moment

Installed the 4K IQ in my car with also this rear cam. The rear cam only works when you initially set it up when you do the update it doesn’t work. i would stay away until they fix this problem.

It definitely a good camera. Totally understand that it’s new to the market. But with firm where updates I am sure it will be great. I’ve had the same issues as some of the other reviewers but I’ve noticed with the firmware upgrade it has gotten much better.

The whole camera system is not ready. The picture is good when it works but unreliable. Most features claimed by the company either dont work or not available. I have been in contact with the company and told a recent firmware update would correct issues. Well it didnt correct issues. The rear camera connects when it feels like it and the live view has about a 30 second delay so not really live view. The parking mode works sometimes. The whittness mode will record on the camera but wont save footage. It will send you a link but when you click on it you get and error code. The GPS map system also works at times and other times does not. We live in a good cell area and have a new vehicle and phone for the app so nothing on our end. The hardware is a good looking camera with a good picture but is useless if the software is awful. For $1000 between the fromt amd rear camera this is jot acceptable. I could see these issues with a $100 camera. This product should not be allowed to be sold until is does half of the things claimed in the description.

I invested in this dashcam. Bought the front and rear. It was pricey but their ads looked promising. Turned out it was a big dissapointment!!! The rear cams doesnt come back once you turn off the vehicle. Always had to restart the device if i want it to function. And parking mode only senses when somebody is already inside the vehicle. Not as advertised. Completely dissatisfied expense! Hope they fix it as promised but i wont bet on it.
