  1. Nighthawk

I live out in the country and get only crap satellite internet. This saved me. I work from home and my internet works better than those that live in the city

  2. Friend92

This product is way better than my old Nighthawk MR1100 which was outdated. I think it has better signal, speed and range than the old mobile hotspot router. I think it is very easy to connect other devices to it and manage.

  3. nice

thanks i like it i was had to instal but i finally got it to work can’t wait to use it.

  4. MattheweS

The new technology in this brings a much needed upgrade and faster download speeds

  5. Great

Works great and easy to set-up. I work from home and my internet is much faster.

  6. StevenG

This unit is very easy to set up and use. In my experience it is providing faster service in a non-5G, poor reception area relative to various cell phones (newest top of the line iPhone and Pixel). The ethernet port can also be convenient. In my case enabling this device to stand in for an abysmal 4Mbps (not a typo) landline internet service, and providing 4-5 times the speed to a home mesh wifi network. Note that AT&T told me this device can only be used with a prepaid plan, so it is separate from my other AT&T accounts. Inconvenient, but it works. I have observed it drop service due to overheating when I left it in the sunny window, hoping to get faster speeds from that one extra bar. It soon recovered, and in the end my cleverness was unnecessary because the device provided similar speeds either way.
Bottom Line: although a little pricey, if this device fits your internet needs than its performance seems to indicate it is a worthwhile investment.

  7. NickS

Great mobile hotspot. Fast and consistent internet.

One warning on activation. If you need this setup fast, you will have to take to an AT&T store to get activated as when you try online AT&T will try and mail you a SIM card.

  8. Elijahg30

Device shuts off after about 5 minutes of use. Most fruatrating and glitchy interface i have ever used. Wouldve never bought if i knew how bad this device really was

  9. Waddawaddayourmom

It works as intended. Sleek design and nice external antenna slots so you can get a better signal is nice.

  10. Wayne

Works great. It has good range with the 5g. Put outside antenna on for better signal

  11. MauriceT

This hotspot does not disappoint and provided service to 10 devices – easy set up and deployment.

  12. Gettingpointsforthis

Easy to set up, works great. Shows a QR code you can scan to connect to and displays ID and password.

  13. Chris

If you need the external ip address don’t bother. 2 hrs with AT&T support and 1 hr Netgear support and emails. Every tech asked why I needed the external address.

  14. Zer0Day

I got this in place of a Dataremote CDS-9010 for a remote telemetry project. For some reason, AT&T decided to lock the Dataremote devices entirely: they cannot be accessed by end users, even after factory defaulting. Rather than fight with them, I picked this up as I knew it would be completely open and fully configurable.

It has a touchscreen interface which is nice for initial IP configuration and checking cellular status at a glance. It comes with the network port disabled, but this can easily be enabled through the GUI. Once it is, it can be used as a cellular modem for any firewall with 2 WAN ports, for loan balancing or simple failover.

If you just need a wifi bridge to get devices on the internet, then it’s even easier: just slap an AT&T sim card in, activate it, and join the network. The fact that it has a built-in battery is very nice, especially for remote deployments with shaky power. Keep in mind that charging the battery does generate heat, so these should be kept in conditioned or at least actively ventilated spaces.

I have tested cellular performance and it is good, though that will mostly depend on the location and signal strength. I have this deployed in a remote area, so used the external antenna ports to cable up a large LTE antenna on the roof, pointed to the nearest cell tower. Since each antenna application will be different, adapter cables are not included but can be easily found online. For my application, I used TS9 Male to N-Female pigtail adapters, then an N-Male to N-male cable to extend the wiring to the antenna.

I do wish it was POE capable, especially since the total wattage is well within spec (the power supply provides either 5v @ 2.0a or 9v @ 1.8a), but I suspect a POE splitter would work fine in either 802.3af (13w) or 802.3at (25.5w).

All in all it’s a very compact and capable unit, albeit fairly expensive for what it is. Still, it’s a clean and easy way to get wifi or hardwired internet service via cellular to any remote location you need. Perfect for remote telemetry or surveillance applications, or as I mentioned for redundant internet service for a remote site.

This device was not AT&T Compatible! Do not buy this device. Make sure you check with your carrier before you buy this!

  16. Heartpumper

The net gear nighthawk M6 Po mobile Hotspot black AT&T have been purchase a while ago,

  17. MikeT

Why would this be advertised for 5G and for AT&T and then Best Buy sends me email saying that it’s not compatible with my 5G AT&T plan. Good job Best Buy, Netgear and AT&T.

  18. Bestbuyfan11

This data is slower thab my home internet. I bought this to play my PS5 from work but the connection always lags. No help on what to do it help the connection

  19. MarkH

I would like to take this time to thank Jansen and Markerio for the excellent service they provided me. They were very knowledgeable and helpful on which mobile device for me to purchase for my needs. These 2 individuals needs to be recognized for their excellent service.

  20. DebL

Works great as long as it is near what you want to use. Which being able to move it makes that ok.

  21. MJF305

Had to take it to a store to get it configured for prepaid but not any store knows how to do it. It’s super laggy. You press one button and it takes like 10 seconds for it to register. Once you get it connected, the speeds aren’t as fast as what you can get on your phone if you just turned on your own hotspot.

  22. Estellebrunk

  24. RicardoM

Honest review, compared to the m2 or m1
This device even with all those antenas it’s really unstable
Unstable connection it’s not good for att or tmobile.

  25. JoyH

Being able to take my office on the road is a great investment. No longer worried about finding coffee shops or public places that have the speed I need to be productive. The ability to host multiple users means I can have meetings on the fly with no worry about everyone getting connected.

  26. JonathanH

Overheats way too easy, it’s great when it works but you better put it against something cold or you’ll have internet for about 45 mins before it cuts off

  27. Stoneham13

Love this hot spot. Very powerful. Best Buy device was excellent!

  28. TeresaT

This device’s battery doesn’t even last for eight hours.

  29. Safe

  30. Jus420

  32. Disp

Only option for remote location during summer internship so kept it
    Used fan to keep cool

  33. BarryC

Works very well. I like the feature on not having to use the battery. It comes with a cord that hooks up in the back for power. The signal is great.

  34. MikeF

Nice product for working on the go. Strong connection and easy setup.

  35. Bizobby

I was able to get it working on prepaid att service too. It actually gets stronger signal than my iphone. Im very happy with it. Just wish i could find external antennas, and i wish the back battery cover was fastened more securely.

  36. Zanadama

Complete garbage compared to what T-mobile offers.

  37. Chad

Just didnt work well for what i was trying to do jist travel a lot

  38. N3ur0

Although 5G may not be available in your area, this is an amazing little portable hotspot that doesnt keep your phone tied up.

  39. DonnieD

Went to the woods for a week and wanted to be able to stay connected this was the perfect solution once devices were hooked up I was all set just like being home

  40. JDPO

I haven’t tested this device for PC gaming as of yet, but it’s great to have if you are planning on being on the road for an extended period of time. Music and Video streaming is effortless, be it on your Phone, TV or Computer. As with any Mobile Hotspot device, it looses reception through canyons and around Mountains. Did not perform well during our pass through Yellowstone. The only real downside to this particular Hotspot device is that AT&T forces you to add a line and keep that line for AT LEAST 3 months. So, you’ll be paying for this device even if you don’t use it. Other than that, it’s an essential item for any Road Trip

  41. StevieY

I can’t recommend the Nighthawk Mobile Hotspot enough! As a frequent business traveler, this device has become my ultimate companion. Whether I’m on the road, in a hotel, or even on planes, trains, and boats, I can easily connect to the internet and meet all my work deadlines effortlessly. The convenience of this mobile hotspot is unparalleled when it comes to staying productive while traveling and keeping your documents safe. Its compact and lightweight design makes it a breeze to carry around wherever I go. Thanks to the Nighthawk Mobile Hotspot, I can work from anywhere with utmost ease and convenience!

  42. JaimeM

Battery gets too hot when powered on all day. I have to take off the battery case in order for it to cool off.

  43. Lauren

This has been an efficient and effective hotspot. I activated this hotspot with an AT&T plan. I used this hotspot in South Africa, Portugal, and various states around the US. It’s reliable. I’ve connected from this device from my work computer and personal computer – no issues. It is on the pricier side. I have no regrets about purchasing it.

  44. Lenovo

Works well with Laptops, but hard to connect with desktops. Tried all settings 2/5 G but nothing seems to work.

  45. Unknown

Works exceptionally. Over 1.2GBPS speed! Definitely recommend!

  46. Khrissy

    Works amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  47. Noah

Easy to setup and use. Rock solid reliability. Being used to provide high speed connection while traveling professionally. Also the internet connectivity over USB-C makes this so easy to use with a modern laptop.

  48. Ubertech

Strong signal, trustworthy battery life and easy to set up and operate.

  49. SherC

I use this at events as a portable wifi when there are too many people and there’s poor reception. Examples are concerts, golf tournaments or festivals, so I can still access the internet in these situations. You will still need to buy a plan with AT&T.

  50. Bchendon

This thing is awesome and makes working on the go so much easier!
