NAD – PP 4 Digital Phono USB Preamplifier – Black $134.00 Save:$75.00(36%)
Description
  • Connectivity
the PP 4 Digital Phono/USB Preamplifier makes it easy to add phono to many of today’s stereo amplifiers and AV receivers that have either eliminated the phono input or included a low quality circuit for attaching your turntable.
  • Reduced Power Consumption
As part of NAD’s commitment to the environment, the PP 4 features a more efficient “green” power supply that reduces power consumption. The PP 4’s Auto Power Down feature saves energy by automatically powering the PP 4 to OFF when not in use.
  • Software Included
The PP 4 also includes VinylStudio Lite Software for ripping LPs and burning audio CDs.
  • USB Interface
The PP 4 goes one step further with a USB interface, shielded USB cable and recording level control which combine to reduce noise and improve the analogue-to-digital conversion process.

  1. Wally

After checking online about this product I decided to buy it. After I hook it up to my receiver and turntable and play a record my roommate screamed ” lower the volume ” I knew it worked boosting the volume I also hook it to my computer to record and it recorded perfectly. Very great product as it serves all my needs

  2. Broph11

One of the reviews I read before I made this purchase was that it made the person’s records sound louder, and while I don’t necessarily hear that much of a difference in volume, I do notice a difference although it is hard to put into words what that difference is…maybe, better sound quality?

  3. Glassman

NAD has been making top quality components for a long time, and this unit lives up to expectations. No issues so far ,and good sound with my old tt.

  4. Janus

Connected this to my dad’s old Sanyo. Worked like a charm.

  5. ifly

As I am in the process of deciding on a new amp and my current one did not have a phono front end I did not want to spend a fortune on a MM PreAmp. Does the job and reasonably well for the price.

  6. Glassman484

This preamp worked really well with my turntable and Receiver, which does not have phono level inputs. Unfortunately, it died a few weeks in. Best Buy gave a full refund, and I am trying another brand as a replacement. I’ve had several NAD products in the past, all high performance and reliable. Maybe an anomaly…I’ll” try again with them I’m sure.

  7. Tobor89

I have this dac paired with the denon turntable ortofon blue cartridge with emotiva xmc1 preamplifier and sunfire signature power amplifier and B&W CM 10 towers, I was ready to buy another turntable ( it sounded decent) but this and a cartridge change was definitely what i needed, pairing is critical and time consuming (+ costly ) to figure what sound signature you’re after

  8. Mars

Ordered this to replace a 13-year old Pro-ject Phono Box II, which seemed to hum no matter what I did with grounding, power supplies, and cables.

Sound on line output: impressive solid bass definition, smooth midrange, and transparent detail in high frequencies, with very little hum or noise. Great dynamic range on a pre-amp at this price.

Hookup: All options MC/MM & Phono/Line input selectors have discrete connections & switches. It took me a couple tries to get the right connections made. Power brick is small, but still takes up more than a plug’s width.

How does the power button work? I can turn it on but not off. It’s a mystery. Doesn’t appear in the quick setup diagram.
