    Read the reviews, had faith in Best Buy. Well first time out was a dud. Controller came “looking brand new”, but buttons were not responsive and missing the paddles, the silver bottom left peace and controller drift on the left side. I didn’t think about not having a cable, since most new devices don’t come with them anymore, but I looked and seen it was supposed to come with one (it didn’t). Going to return and try one more. If that one comes back with issues, I’ll have to get a new one.

    Short: Gambling on what you get. I ordered Two controllers. One good no issues. One bad with a big but fixable issue. Concerning quality control on Best Buys end.

    Long: The problem with this it’s a gamble on what you get. I ordered two controllers the first one was prefect looked very lightly used if at all. The second one looked decently used some cosmetic flaws and scuffs no big problems. Until I tried to actually use it. I could not plug in the usb c cable to connect my controller let alone charge it. Upon closer inspection I saw the small piece that goes inside the usb c cable completely bent to one side. I wish I took a picture. I struggled to bend it back in place so I can actually connect my controller. I had to use a knife to bend it back in place. The good news it didn’t break and still works for now. At least you can rest assured its well built if it can survive that with no other issues. But, this needs to be looked at by who ever is supposed to fix/refurbish the controllers. To make sure this never happens again. Not the end of the world but it is a concerning issue on quality control from Best Buy.

    Good controller for about two weeks. After that, joystick started to drift hard. Glad I got the protection warranty.

    Stick drift out of the box clearly not refurbished just used had to return the same day I got it. They couldn’t help get a replacement either.

    The controller out of the box immediately had stick drift. After a couple of months, it feels like it’s about to fall apart.

    One of the best ways to go for an Elite controller. Playing all the time makes wear and tear on these go quickly but with a refurb, I could also buy 2 year protection and that just makes sense.

    I’m happy I’ve had Geek Squad Protection on my controller, because after a year of use on the two that I’ve owned, the ‘Bumper Buttons’ (LB&RB) have worn out and aren’t able to be used. It’s insane. I really hope Microsoft is looking into this and makes this a priority for the next generation of controllers.

    Had Series 1 and loved it. Series 2 is even better! I can use some of my previous components as well. Any Bluetooth device! Best controller on the market in my opinion.

    For a geeksquad refurbished I’m very surprised. The controller is in great condition looks to me it was a return Same day from someone else. The controller itself has great features for the money you’ll spend. And saving money is always good.

    The Elite Series 2 controllers are amazing. 40 hour battery life is awesome and the software to customize is a huge advantage. However they have some durability issues. Controller was clean with all accessories and in good working order. As I’ve played with it over the last few weeks, the RB button is not as responsive and the A button is also starting to miss inputs. This is a known issue with the controller and a big reason why I purchased the warranty with it.

    Great condition, a little bit of dust and a tiny smudgy scuff, but all in all a great value for a refurb. Works great on Windows 10, takes some tinkering with macOS.

    I thought I wouldn’t care for the extra trinkets it included, but they are a game changer.

    Not only does it help improve your gaming experience, but it is very comfortable too.

    Well built premium quality controller. I love the feel and heft it has. The rubber grips are great and I love the interchangeable joysticks and adjustable triggers. Also tension adjuster is excellent as well. Did not use the paddles so can’t really speak to those. The magnetic D pad cover is also a nice touch.

    However, ultimately I did not end up keeping it and returned it. I just can’t justify spending that much on a controller. I bought this originally for PC gaming but considering half the time I am using mouse and keyboard, I am sticking with the Xbox core controller I bought. But I will say the refurbished condition looked new.

    I think $100 would be a more accurate value for this controller.

    I’ve had to replace over 10 of these controllers due to quality control issues. Geek Squad Replacement Plan is essential with this product. When it works, its great, but be prepared for stick drift, dropped inputs, grip peeling, and disconnects ~6 months into the controller’s lifespan.

    Well this controller is outstanding but the backstory I have with this thing sucks. When all the way with me through a 3 year relationship held up so strong through thick and thin best gaming session with it with the chick but then she dumped me but that’s okay I’ll just be depressed with my control instead, so if you read down here this for it vers to the right on the right joy stick

    Nothing better than this controller right here. build is sturdy and battery life is amazing. After buying this one I bought a second for my PC. Works via Bluetooth just as well as wireless or 2.4gz.
