Zelda –
Blows away all expectations. Felt like playing an advanced version of super metroid or Metroid fusion. 10 out 10.
JuanG –
It’s awesome!!¡!!!!!!¡¡!¡¡¡!!!!¡¡¡¡!!!!!¡¡¡¡!!!!!!!!!!!
Daniel –
Yo! The scare factor of fusion and dread is insane. How can a 2D game impose so much anxiety as if I was playing a 3D horror game?
FreidaN –
This game is really good especially when you keep playing. The graphics are really good too.
Arthur –
Theres a reason a genre is based on it. Such a treat.
inhalexhale –
Fun combat, engaging gameplay with steady upgrades, interesting puzzles, unique boss fights that are challenging, endless exploration options, and great level design. Easily a must play on switch.
LoSO –
I played fusion and the continued story is actually pretty good so far. It doesn’t explain much and running from those nonKillable unless you find the power is a bit of a pain but overall great game
Unknown –
Classic game for Metroid fans that have a switch and love action
Soda –
Amazing game with good graphics, fun level design, and beautiful atmosphere.
A fitting sequel
N8hess –
I wish you could give half stars because this game is marvelous and deserves 4.5, but it has a few tedious moments and sometimes, it is almost too challenging, but I don’t mind that.
KeriS –
Amazing Metroid game! As most of them are! Wish they would do more 2d Metroids!
CrashBandicoot5091 –
I’ve played most of the Metroid Prime series and the GBA games and Super Metroid. And I have to say this is the best Metroid game yet. Challenging yet balanced. Intense and addictive. The graphics are impressive for the switch. Highly recommend this one, if you love Metroid or a great starting point if you’re new to the series.
ArturoV –
Good game graphics are good reminds me me of old Metroid games still has same structure just better graphics
EnderW –
Amazing game, fun engaging and lots of secrets to find.
PSMurray –
A lot of retro fun, with simple gameplay and some very challenging aspects that elevate it.
RyanG –
Metroid Dread is the pinnacle of the 2D series. The gameplay is smooth. The action is intense. 20years later it was worth the wait!
Justin –
Terrific modern Metroid side scroller! Love the design and mechanics. Story is great and gameplay is challenging and fun!
master –
Awesome gameplay and reminds of what metroidvania used to be and now is
Industrialized –
This is an amazing entry into the franchise. Most Metroid fans will love this.
JoseS –
Very satisfied personally I recommend it excellent graphics very fast reaction time exceeds what I imagined.
JamesW –
I love the Metroid Series, but since it had been so long since the last 2d entry in the series, I was a little skeptical if it would hold up compared to the others. Anyway, it totally does, and I could easily imagine this being someones favorite game in the franchise. I mean, its not my favorite… but its an exceptionally polished and fun experience, and a must play for fans of the series.
Wolf –
A thoroughly enjoyable experience, delightful looking and pulse-pounding
JosephM –
I have so much fun with this game i can not put it down
TimothyC –
Samus is back in a brand new adventure with themes of horror, as you are continually stalked by an unstoppable force.
HelenE –
Purchased as a gift. Works great. Son was happy with it.
THE5THTURTLE –
Fun, very detailed graphics, great gameplay and combat systems.
SGrice85 –
Being completely honest, I did not finish Dread. I kept telling myself I would consider going back in and trying to give it an honest shot, but the EMMIs were more annoying than I cared for. They felt like an arbitrary roadblock which was designed to extend gameplay time than an actual threat. Getting caught never really feels like your fault, and all it ends up doing is leaving a sour taste in your mouth which results in you considering taking a short break, which becomes a long break, which results in you never returning to the game. More than a little disappointing.
CharlieM –
Is there another game that I bought for my son and he plays it all the time
bernzuort –
Best Metroid I ever play, excellent game is a 10, waitting for next.
MatthewR –
Great game, definitely a great entry in the metroid series.
skwerbs –
Super Metroid is my favorite SNES game of all time. They did a great job with new mechanics and it runs buttery smooth. I love the Prime series but 2D Metroid is my preference. After 20 years of waiting they finally released a full 2D Metroid and I’m happy to say that they nailed it!
Corbulo –
Graphics, gameplay, storyline, and soundtrack is incredible! It still maintains the feeling of exploration and figuring out puzzles without showing too many tutorials. The cutscenes subtly show how to fight bosses and enemies instead of showing a whole tutorial or cutting to a practice arena. The only con is unskipable cutscenes when you die and return to the same area you died.
ChristopherD –
Ordered online for pickup. Went and got it an hour and a half after placing my order. Nice.
TommyS –
One of the best 2D Metroid games ever made. Great up on Metroid and played the hell out of Super. Game play is smooth and such a great story. Highly recommend for any Metroid fan or anyone who wants to get into the series
Bigdan –

Metroid is always good
CorbanW –
reminds me a lot of the old super metroid, maps are fun and well laid out.
JulioC –
Beautiful Metroid game and a welcome addition to the series. Amazing gameplay and challenging as well. Puzzles are easy to figure out since it’s mostly common sense. Overall excellent game.
Bill –
What a great game. Brought me back to my Metroid fusion days wow
CristalC –
No issues at all, it’s amazing. Comes with the plastics sealed
LadyW –
Son loves to play this. Great game to pass the time away.
Woozy85 –
Who said you need three dimensions to have a ton of fun? Seriously though, here’s hoping this is the last 2d installment of the series.
SeanH –
Great game kinda difficult but worth it would recommend
WilliamW –
Bought it as a gift for my nephews. They love it and I was told it was all they wanted to play the next day.
Unknown –
I’m sure the game is great, but the next day delivery was even a better surprise.
FernandoA –
Really cool and challenging game. We’re hooked. This might just make me into a gamer.
MikeN –
Great game . I couldn’t put it down. Sad I finished it.
wilsons –
The atmosphere, sound design, and tight controls really should have had it win game of the year!
VirginMaster64 –
the only game I ever played from this series was the NES version the creepy gba one. Haven’t found the time to play it.
SchoolMAP –
Old school metroid fan. Good graphics and gameplay.
Mekanizar –
The game gave me vibes from Fusion on GBA and the final boss fight was epic!
