    This adapter does fir a 2000 Ford Mustang V6 base, however, there will be issues. Ford tied a lot of things into the radio, simply hooking up this adapter will cause you to lose your cigarette lighter port and your interior lights will always be on while driving. If you look up the schematics, it can be bypassed, but it’s not fun.

    This wire harness is a real time saver. All the wires are color coded so you should not mess it up. Just hook up a few wires and your done.

    This product was labeled very well and was color coded with my kenwood wiring harness. Definitely something you should look into if you’re wiring your new radio at home.

    I bought this for a 1997 Ford Mustang GT with the mark for 60 stereo system I had to Sauter RCA connections on the preamp wire when I wired it straight in the stereo had too much power output and Max the amp out too quick

    The product is fine but you must be careful with your application. My Mustang uses this connector to route the audio out of the deck to an amplifier. If you connect this to your speaker out wires, this will drive high level signals into your amp and toast it. There is another version of this package that has the small square-ish connector that ends in RCA jacks meant to plug into your pre-amp out of the deck. Get that one if you intend to keep the amp.

    This was easy to install but the wires could be more secured to the plug it self. When I plugged it up, 2 of the wires came out but I simply pushed them back in.

    Love having Bluetooth in my 95 Mustang. Know its in all the new vehicles but wasn’t stock in mine. Installation was great and they too the time to explain the different functions in mine.

    My 1993 Ford Explorer is a Limited trim package, which means it has an upgraded audio system from the factory with an amp and sub. This adapter had the right connectors in it for my application while many other ones simply did not. Note that this item does still work for a standard audio system.

    Best Buy’s price on this item is absolutely insanely high! On the order of magnitude of 4 times the cost of an online retailer.

    If you’re looking for this item, my local Best Buy kept it hidden in the back in the car audio install bay – ask a blue shirt to look there if it’s not on the floor.

    I asked an employee to only get me the radio because I already had a aftermarket radio, and didn’t need the extra equipment. He then insisted it was required for the car set up purchased the wiring kit, and plastic adapter for the radio. Told the employee that I wanted to schedule getting my radio installed the same day because I had to leave town, he said he couldn’t, so I leave come back open the radio box up it has everything the charged me extra for, and when I went to return it they said I couldn’t because it was too late. Not even a full week had gone by.

    First, in case anyone was wondering, this is the correct harness for a 1998 Ford Mustang for both sound systems. NOT THE HARNESS BESTBUY HAS IN THEIR SYSTEM! The wires were presliced and the rubber cover was already cut so it could be easily spliced. Totally worth the money to save myself from cutting into the factory harness

    I purchased this for my 93 lincoln town car. I had geek squad do my car stereo system for me. I definitely had a phenomenal experience so if you’re thinking about having geek squad do it for you, go for it!
