This is the only available installation kit for the Honda Accord. The controls are very basic, unlike the controls the vehicle comes with standard. The color and fit of the installation kit is pretty good. The Honda Accords have a pocket door that is not supposed to work after installing this kit, but our installer with the Geek Squad was able to modify it slightly and the pocket door works perfectly. The reason I would recommend this product is that it is the only one on the market, apparently.

Unfortunately, there is only one manufacturer of this type of product, and it is barely passable. The controls are very basic; I miss the rotary controls on the factory dash, as the buttons on this one are crude. Most importantly, though, is that the temperature fluctuates wildly, depending on what vent mode you choose. It seems that if you adjust the temperature just one degree either warmer or colder, it changes drastically, and that should not be; it should be a slight, gradual difference in temperature. If it wasn’t for my disdain of commercial radio I would go back to the factory radio/climate controls in a second, but as it stands, I have no choice but to go with this Metra dash kit. Disappointing.

The chip that controls the back lighting of both the environment controls and radio no longer worked and Handa said it would be over $1,000 to fix. This was a good option that also enable us to upgrade to satellite and hand free radio.

Like other reviewers, this is the only choice you have if you are wanting to replace the indash navigation system with a better radio. The radio and installation is great. But this unit is very disappointing. If you have it on ‘auto’ for example and it’s freezing outside when you get in the car the thing will come on full blast. So you constantly have to adjust it (I never had that problem before). Once it gets up to temperature (I’m talking about heat since it’s winter) it feels like the a/c switches on. So it’s either blowing warm or blowing cold. And you can’t use the ‘recycle’ button on the auto setting. Just too many things that are really disappointing in this unit. I love the radio and that I can have bluetooth now but it’s a bad tradeoff. So, pick your poison.

It was cheaper to replace my 05 Accord radio at Best Buy than teplace with original parts or even repair. The only drawback with this unit is I lose a bin inless I buy a second piece. Store provided great installation service

It’s been three weeks since I installed into my Vehicle, quality is very cheap made my Honda Accord look ugly doesn’t match the finish like the description says. Another thing that I found out after was installed is that it has not “A/C max” button so far my a/c it’s been working but I don’t know if it will work when it gets really hot like 80 degrees or more, the other thing that bothers me is the controls lights are orange and the litt screen light is very bright at night and there is no option for day or night mode. I would recommend if you don’t care about quality if you okay having two different finish colors in your vehicle, other than that it does the job to hold in place your new in dash stereo.
