    Thickness looks about right for 4awg wire, I’ve seen many similar looking fuses that end up melting the plastic housing so hopefully that doesn’t happen here.

    Before coming to Best Buy and making all of the purchases needed to install a system in my vehicle I thought wire was wire. I had previously purchased a different kit for much cheaper from a different retailer. A Best Buy employee educated me on the differences. The wire used in these kits are “OFC WIre” or Oxygen Free Copper as opposed to ”CCA Wire” or Copper-Clad Aluminum. Metra uses OFC Wire which is 100% copper, all the way through, which I was informed provides much better power delivery and signal. You can even feel the difference in quality between the wire from this kit and the cheaper wire from elsewhere.

    Hopefully this will help educate you as well on the differences and you don’t end up doing what I originally did and cheaping out on the wire just because it’s an option.

    Bestbuy only really wants to use this wiring kit. Otherwise they probably wont allow you to get your items i stalled. Its a very high quality kit

    These cables seem to be good quality. I have been using them for about 2 weeks now with a Kicker CX 1200W without any issues. I think 1200W is the upper end for these cables so I do kind of wish I had gone with something bigger to make future upgrading easier. Live and learn. That being said these are good cables.

    He didn’t hook up the power to the battery and pulled the truck out before telling me so. He did not ask me what I wanted. I told him what I wanted part of which was the batter and power connection done so I did not have to do it. That is why I paid someone else and had it done there so I didn’t have to do it myself.
