I like my dryer because its roomy on the inside for very large loads or really big comforters and the dryer works well when drying the clothes you dont have to spin it twice.

Equally as bad as it’s washing machine partner, this dryer takes FOREVER to dry. At least 75% of loads have to be turned on three times. The sensor drying is hardly dependable and many times I have to rewash loads because they sat in the dryer damp without my knowledge that they did not in fact dry thoroughly.
Maytag is an all around disappointment. I wish I could drag this washer and dryer pair outside and light them on fire (which obviously I’d never actually do). That’s how awful they are. They make me dread doing laundry more than I already do. At least my Samsung set made me happy to do laundry because it performed so well.
Do yourself a favor and don’t buy Maytag. I invested $2,000 and got garbage.

We have both the Maytag washer and now the gas dryer and both work so well together. Each has so much more room than our previous appliances and we can do the laundry of two adults and two kids in only two loads. It’s pretty awesome.

We had purchased the washer and the loads were too large for our old dryer, so when our dryer went out shortly after we got the one that matched the washer….WE LOVE IT! It takes care of large loads, and it is quiet.

I purchased in November and by April the door was broken – latch fell inside the door. Maytag has excellent service so they will fix, but it’s only a couple months old. Has me feeling iffy about it making it any distance without more issues. Drying sometimes needs to go longer which takes more energy, etc.

I took a half star off because the top should have been flat and level, creating a work surface. Things will roll or slide off.
Another half star because how difficult it was to change the opening side if the door. I ending up using a panel removing tool from an auto parts store to pop the frame. Also when I finished the door opened to about 90 degrees, vs 130 before I started. Good enough and I only had to do it once.
I only use the normal setting with the hottest temp and dryest drying. Works.

This dryer is large capacity. It turns really quiet. I like that it has a non wrinkle setting that keeps the drum turning after the cycle is over to prevent wrinkling. Easy to use. great setting options.

Replaced an older dryer that had suddenly stopped working. Controls are easy and it dries items from bedding to delicate items easily and quickly. I would give this dryer 5 stars if the lint trap were easier to clean, however I find it difficult to clean the lint trap unless it has a heavy buildup from towels or blankets. I would still buy this again.

Not a big fan. Nothing ever fully dries on any of the automatic cycles, and everything is wrinkled. After drying on automatic, we always have to run a 2nd manual timed cycle for anywhere between 15-30 minutes. Heavy loads like jeans and hoodies can take up to 45 more minutes. It has also been replaced once already, it quit working altogether shortly after being delivered.

I had three of these. Two are working very well. The finish on the interior vent of the third dryer burned and we were no longer able to dry clothes due to burnt smell.
The vent could have been replace but parts are not available. Sad because this was a very good dryer.

Maytag used to be the top line for Kenmore but was purchased by Whirlpool in 2006. Our mom had an original Maytag that lasted over 10 years. We paid a premium for a Maytag washer and dryer 3 years ago and the lid on the washer was missing a screw and developed a stress crack. It took quite a few calls and serious persistence but they finally sent me a new lid. Last week the gas dryer stopped igniting so no heat to dry clothes. I’ve replaced the thermal sensor, thermal cut-off valve, and thermister. This should have solved the problem. Close to $200 in parts when a new dryer is on sale for $500. Why would Whirlpool want Maytag to be better than a Whirlpool? Maytags are now less expensive than Whirlpools so we can see where this is going. Maytag is no longer a quality product.
