    I purchased this to replace an 18 year old dryer of the same size that finally gave out. The dryer is nice, simple, and I sprung for professional installation. I’ve had it for about 2 months now and it gets the job done nicely. Hope it lasts me as long as the last one.

    Good capacity for blankets and comforters. The one drawback is that the dryer door needed to be reversed and it now makes a loud sound when opening and closing it is harder to open and close

    Bought this dryer exactly 3 years ago and the heater element already went out. I always give second chances before giving bad reviews, but Maytag still did not want to make it right. I called the 800 num that is on all of the other neg reviews that they say to contact them, but I did and they chose to offend my intelligence. They offered me an “exclusive offer” of 20% off of ONLY their website to just buy a new dryer…the catch is when I went to the website there is a 20% sale off already. I do understand that things don’t always last but support should be there for customers. Also, I clean the vents annually and the top vent every load. I am a single person that does ONE load a week of laundry….this thing should have lasted at least 10 years. I don’t recommend and I will NEVER have a Maytag brand in my house again!!…ever!!!

    I bought this because I have heard great things about Maytag and the price was great, around $575. But, if you actually want it to dry things don’t buy this. It hasn’t worked since the day I bought it. It takes 2-3 full cycles to get everything dry. I tried to fix this by halving the number of clothes I put into it, but it still did not work. I experimented with this machine putting more than four articles of clothing or three towels in, it will not fully dry the load. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE.

    If it wasn’t such a great price I may have returned it. Real hard to set time to any accuracy. Door a little hard to open and you need to slam it to shut it. Not sure it heats as well as it should.

    I bought that dryer in August of 2022. The dryer stopped heating 3 months after. Best Buy Totaltech refused to fix it or even send someone to check it out because “they have an exception for Whirlpool when being on the first year of warranty, ” which they didn’t mention when I purchased that dryer WITH TotalTech for avoiding to be involved with the Maytag support. I’m completely disappointed with both Best Buy and Maytag.

    Bought this open box in fair condition for a deep discount. Had minor scratches and dents but the home i was buying had the matching Maytag washer just no dryer. The washer is the same as dryer has some scratches and dents so this dryer matches it perfectly! Plugged it in and worked just as it should with no problems. One of the best dryers ive used.

    My wife wanted a different washer / dryer than the Samsung we had. We purchased a matching Maytag washer & Dryer (modelMEDC465HW) 09/01/2022. From day one the dryer takes 2, 40 minute cycles and the towels are still not dry. There are only 3 towels in the dryer. We had a repair person out & he tested the unit and said it was working properly that there was an air flow problem, get the vent cleaned out. We did. NO CHANGE. Towels do not get dry after 80 minutes on hot. I would not recommend these appliances at all. Also there is NO digital read out to let you know how much longer the cycle has to run. The wrinkle control is useless compared to the Samsung. Wish we had the Samsung’s back.

    If I could give negative stars I would. Dryer has always been kept on low heat to prevent heating element from going out. Only lasted 18 months until it stopped drying. Not covered by factory warranty. Don’t waste your money on Maytag. Built to break after one year warranty is up.
