It is twice as slow as my old washer and half as good at getting dirt out. It takes all day just to wash a few loads and I could get all my laundry done in a day including my bedding with my old one which unfortunately died. Stains even after treating is taking two or three times washing and treating them before they come out where it use to take one wash. Not a big fan of my new washer.

We ordered a washer and dryer with pedestals. First they delivered only the washer. So, I called. Then, a few days later they delivered the washer pedestal, but said that they didn’t have an order to install it. So, I called again. Then, they sent a third crew to connect the washer to the pedestal. The washer is not starting like it should. After I push the buttons I have to go back and check, because it only starts up half the time.

I have now had my Maytag washer from Bestbuy for 18 months. I absolutely love her! Purchasing from Bestbuy was such a great experience. The sales person was helpful and took the time to understand my needs. I purchased the washer on Dec 17, and it was delivered Dec 22; installation went smoothly as the service persons were professional and knowledgeable. This Maytag washer has been terrific from day one to the present. I am pleased to say that I just made the final payment, as Bestbuy gave me 18 months to pay for it at zero interest. I highly recommend Bestbuy for appliance purchases!

We’re not happy with this product. It often stops in the middle of a wash cycle. It can’t handle large or small loads. It will start thumping during the spin cycle with three towels.

This a very good washer. The clothes come out very clean each time and it is quiet. I did buy the Geek Squad protection plan. After one year the fabric softener stop dispensing. Multiple attempts were made to fix the issue, but were unsuccessful. It was declared a “lemon” and was replaced with a brand new washer (same make & model). Matag is a great brand and the replacement process was a smooth. I would recommend this washer.

I purchased my front load washer April 10th, & specifically chose Maytag because of it’s excellence history of great appliances. But I bought a lemon, it doesn’t wash the clothes, makes so many loud noises, it doesn’t drain or spin, clothes are drenched, not to mention, IT’S LOCKED! I CAN’T REMOVE MY CLOTHES…I tried unplugging it, turn on and off & nothing works! I bought this to replace a similar model Maytag that broke after 2 years. It includes larger capacity, steam and fresh hold-white that weren’t built into the previous one. Maytag spent decades building high quality reliable machines, but there current machines are not built to last. We have owned this machine for six years and have had it serviced three times. Maytag, you need to have at least one $2k washer option that is built like a tank…consumers will spend the extra money if it is built like you use to make 30 years ago. Please bring back the quality!

0 stars broke after 3 months Maytag sold to whirlpool and does not allow best buy to service their appliances under factory warranty. Whirlpool contracts out their warranty service work to a company ARS appliance. I took a Monday off of work so I could be home for the technician; they canceled the day of and rescheduled for Tuesday between 11am and 2pm. Took Tuesday off from work to meet technician only for them to cancel again and reschedule for Friday with no time frame In mind.

So far so good. I have had this washer less than a month and replaced it with a five year old Maytag washer that the control board failed on.
Fingers crossed this lasts longer than that. It washes very well.
The only one feature I miss in my old washer is the quick wash, this new washer the shortest wash is 46 min. It also has thrown SD warnings and shut off because it said there were too many suds. (and I DID NOT add much soap and I am using the recommended HE soap) I now have to put in a towel to absorb the suds when I wash those smaller items.
Overall it is a decent washer. The bottom line is they don’t make washers like the used to.

12/7/21 purchased a washer and dryer at Pacific Sales which is a division of Best Buy. I was offered a service contract from Geek Squad which is also part of Best Buy which I purchased. In May 2023 I noticed a rattle during the spin cycle of the washer. While the machine was operating fine at that time, I contacted Best Buy to have service to avoid further damage and was advised the service contract was through AIG. Had I known the agreement was though AIG I would not have purchased as I have 40 years experience in the financial industry and am aware of AIG history. AIG sent someone out from Antech Appliance which has a 1.5 star rating on Yelp with the majority of the ratings based on their work for warranty companies and finding reasons not to cover claims. The service spent about 10 minutes looking at the machine and told me they would need to remove tub which would take 2 people so they would have to come back. A day or so later I received an email stating the claim was to be denied as “they stated they found the unit not working due to a foreign object(coin/pin rattling) between the tubs causing a noise issue and this is not considered normal wear and tear.” Note that per the email they are making the assumption that the rattle is caused by a foreign object but they do not know what it is and cannot confirm it is in fact a foreign object. I filed a complaint with BBB but Best Buy stated they are standing behind AIG finding. I had requested a refund of the premium as the warranty was of no value and AIG denied the claim based on assumptions. Subsequently the machine has started to show Error Code when I run the clean cycle. Best Buy responded to the BBB that they had provided a pro rata refund and cancelled the contract. This was done at my request as my right and not in satisfaction of my claim. Best Buy used to stand behind their products but obviously no more. Do not buy from Best Buy but, if you do, do not purchase a service contract. Do not buy this one as it is mal functioning in under 2 years.

I am unhappy with the lack of service. I received this washing machine 4 weeks a go It worked well for a few washings then it wouldnt spin dry the clothes. I called and they scheduled an appointment for for one week. The repairman showed up and said the motor was bad and ordered a replacement scheduled in one week Thats more than two weeks without use of the machine. The new motor was installed and the machine worked for one washing then the same thing happened, wouldn’t spin dry. I then called and requested the machine be replaced. The machine showed up but the man said he couldn’t replace it because of a Faucett leak he said he would call and find out if he could replace it. He went to his truck and just drove off with no further contact. I spent two hours trying to contact some one with no luck. I called the dealer I purchased the machine fromand he got me finally in contact with your scheduling Dept. I disconnected the hoses and requested the recont the installer and have him return. They said he was out of the area and couldnt come back. I recivedm an Email this morning asking that I call in for a new appointment The earliest appointment was Nov 25th. This will be over three weeks without use of a washing machine. That is really unacceptable. I hope the Saturdays appointment will solve the problem. But you really should check your service policy

We purchased this machine less than 2 years ago and main computer board died (display went dead & door locked). Only option to replace board at a cost of $600! Neither Best Buy or Maytag would do anything to compensate & did not stand by their product. If you plan on buying, be sure to get a protection plan.

Purchased this washer a little over 3 years ago. Clothes would still smell after wash, and would require a 2nd wash. In addition, the washer would display a certain time (lets say 15 mins) remaining for wash to complete. I would come back after fifteen minutes, and the washer would still be running and would display/require additional time to complete the wash cycle. Always heard Maytag was one of the best brands for washing machines, but this washing machine underperformed vs my previous LG washer. I have my new LG scheduled for delivery later today.

Washer doesn’t start in one press of power button. ( it happen in front of him too I made video) screen continue blink.
Cycle doesn’t finish in its time. It always stop after 40 or 50 minutes. ( it happen in front of him too, 2 times )
In washer screen its shows 5d when 2 hours cycle stop in 40 or 50 minutes. And screen blinking continues.
And when water start to come in washer it doesn’t stop and I have to turn off washer.
And the spinner makes too much noises.
Greek agent came our home 2 time for repairing he spend 3-4 hours
per day (he came 3 day) to fix washer. he changed it’s main board and he gave me a reason because i didn’t clean sides of door and i put large amount of liquid detergent which is why my washer is not working.
after stop working washer its display still shows whole cycle with time by blinking.
Now today my washer stop working when i hit start button it says ERR on screen and i tried 1 minutes continue i have video clip too. and i have video clip after the repair by greek agent of washer and dryer.
Same thigh happen with dryer it getting too hot even I select temp 2 or 3. So he open top part and he said he will change it belt and pully because that dryer spins very fast and it make noises. And it’s dryer cycle also not complete in given time too.
and for dryer he gave me reason your vantilation system is blocked. (our new house built august 2021 and we bought washer and dryer august 2021) and he gave another reason – your lundry room is small which is 6*4 feet .
I tried to chat but every one end chat by saying contact sales department for change washer and dryer.
i can not upload videos becuase there is no option for upload video. by video you can easily see all above difficulties with washer and dryer.

Had great luck w/ Whirlpool products in past, so didn’t hesitate to purchase a Maytag. It has functioned fine since purchase, nothing more or less. It’s a washing machine – it does what it’s advertised to do. The 2 star rating is for the rubber seal to the door just ripping after 18 mos of use (2 kids, 2-3 average loads per week). Called Maytag support for help, only to find out that this part isn’t covered past 12 months. I was offered 20% off a full price machine. Wouldn’t even budge on the cost of a replacement part. The machine worked fine, nothing special and I’m sure any other washer that can spin clothes in water can do the same job. The low rating is for the fact that after 18 mos, I now have to dump $500 in for a repair. I will likely not purchase a Maytag again.
