Wish I could give this zero stars, this washer is an absolute headache and a waste of money. We originally purchased it bc it’s compact and stackable. We live in a small space so it’s perfect but performance wise it is a waste. We started having issues “suds” and “draining” in less than a year of owning it. We got it serviced and they replaced the filter and found a what was clogging it. Another issue is it’s loud and some loads can take up to 3.5 hrs to wash (heavy duty cycle) then we started having suds issues again, got it serviced and guy said we need to replace all 4 shocks but not worth it & it’s better to buy whole new set. We decided to keep
Using it… Now, the error code F9 E1 showed up today so I attempted to check to see if something was clogged in the filter
But I can’t get to it, even after opening up
The back panel. The filter is facing the opposite side so I need to go from under the washer but I can’t bc the dryer is stacked on top.
This whole thing has been a complete headache and nightmare. Who has time to be troubleshooting all these issues, save your hard earned money and use it on a different brand.

Initially decent washer, but watch out. After 1 year you’re in your own and this model has a high rate of reported draining issues. This is what happened to me. I thought I would be OK under the 10 year parts warranty but… you cannot request parts, they have to send a tech and you are forced to pay $140+mileage for them to even look at it. The 10 year warranty is basically just a money grab where they can get you to pay for a tech and then costly repairs that rival the cost of the washer with only 2 parts that they cover for free replacement (but not labor). When I purchased the 10 year warranty gave me peace of mind, but I see it was now just a false sense of security…

This washer is good for light loads but when you wash heavy loads such as little throw rug with towel it is really loud and shakes alot when spinning out. Sounds like a plane about to take off! Shook so much that it moved a little.

Old washer coding out. Repair service (not Best Buy, but someone contracted with them) came out 3 times and still the washer was not fixed. Was given the option to cash in on my 5-year protection plan and get a new washer. So I did! Love it!

Quality control must be on vacation at whirlpool. I had a 4.8 that would always get clogged. Warranted it out for the 4.5 version. First replacement had a bad strut I was told. Second appeared to be working but had a ding in the side. The third made a noise like the first replacement. Decided to go with a LG thin Q washer now waiting for its arrival. I also have a new house with whirlpool products and the microwave just had a diode replaced.

Love our washing machine. Continues to work well after 1 year of ownership. Touch panel controls are very sensitive, however. It is easy to accidentally “brush” the controls and change settings, including accidentally turning off the machine while it is running.

As this is a replacement machine for one that parts couldn’t be obtained to fix, it works fine. The other machine was only 3 years old, but literally could not be repaired because of parts no longer available. Smacks of planned obsolescence to me. If you’re on your A game, you will purchase the extended warranty these days. It saved my bacon!!!

This washing machine is fine on a day to day basis, but there is no way to easily clean the filter. If you have pets, plan on hiring a repair man every 3 months to come open this thing up to clean out the fur inside.

Let’s just say the Maytag repairman is no longer bored out of his mind! Electronic (circuit board) controlled washing is a hopelessly bad idea. Consider the environment: Lots of vibration, and wetness = broke all the time!

The washer runs great, is efficient, quiet. The only thing is that you have to hold the start button until it counts down to start but that helps when there are little fingers that hit the buttons often as this prevents it from starting unless it is held!

Works great!! Took a minute to learn that you have to hold the Start button for it to start. We’ve owned this a year and it has been reliable. You will want to leave the door open between washes as it gets a little funky smelling which is a common problem for all brands of front loaders.

So for so good! It uses a lot less detergent, I’ve accidentally put too much in and have gotten the excessive suds error. Also uses less water and the wash cycle can be set to be shorter depending on your soil level. Pretty nice! Delivery was quick and professional.
