Two stars only because it has a good bit of room so you are able to fit a queen size comforter in it easy. But it take 2 hours to wash one load of clothes on the fastest setting and it uses hardly no water at all so I don’t see how my clothes are even getting clean at all…now I am stuck with this crappy washer and out all of that money. Probably just going to remove it and put my old one back in since there was nothing wrong but age.

This washer did not work, walked around and had all kinds of issues. Rosa with Geek Squad was able to get an exchange for a Whirlpool washer that worked. She was great and the new washer is great. The other Geek Squad agents were not helpful like Rosa. I am so glad she was able to help us.

It works alright, but at least half of the time I’ve had to wash multiple times just to complete a wash cycle. It gets stuck on “wash” and never completes multiple times.

This is by far the worse investment I have ever made. The water sensor feature is a scam. This machine does not take enough water no matter the setting and how large it is. It takes an eternity to wash. The clothes always have dirt on them at the end of the cycle. I can’t make it to soak because I have not been able to figure it all out and the is NO MANUAL and how to use this thing. I am still paying for it but I will definitely get rid of it in some way or another. I refuse to live with this inconvenience as if it is a cheap machine.

BuYer beware!cAfter having this washing machine for 1 1/2 years and finding our clothes getting more and more soiled, we used a screwdriver to keep the lid open and watched how it operated behind a locked lid. It barely agitates at all .(Maye like a cycle for lingerie.) My gosh, I never would have gotten my kid’s clothes clean with this! I am having to buy new towels because ours have a dirty tinge now. I expected more of a Maytag. This was surely not designed by a mom with active sons. I have no idea what we will do now. This was a big purchase for us.

I got this open box washer for less than $350 so of course I’m happy with it. I think it’s double that new. For me the thing that matters most in a washer is how long it works and that’s something I can’t answer right now. But what I can say is that it’s pretty large and I like how well it claims in the instruction manual that it washes clothes with cold water. So according to the instructions the cold water wash gets clothes cleaner and uses only a little more electricity than the warm wash. It has a bar graph chart showing 3 things for each mode, cleanliness, efficiency, and harshness on the cloths so it’s very easy to see which mode would work best for your needs. It doesn’t have any fancy LED displays but it’s got all the features you need in a washer and it’s very simple to operate. I rated it 5 stars based on the value I got on the discounted price but what you pay for it will likely not be the same.

Gearcase broke after 4 years. Cost to repair with labor is almost $500. Clothes never felt very clean. Sheets would have dry areas after being “washed”.

We bought this 4.5 years ago and a squeaking started within the first year. I should have fixed it then because I am fixing it now and it’s going to cost me about $550 to fix. That is the amount we paid for it.
The gear “stuff” that manages the agitation and spinning needs to be replaced.
Based on the fact that the motor and everything else is good and that, overall, Maytag has a good reputation, I am going to repair vs buy a new one.
My experience could be an anomaly but I would have hoped for 8-10 years before a major repair.

This washer (aka “JUNK”) with its idiotic “water sensoring” and HE detergent nonsense started leaking water all over the floor in about 1 year and 3 weeks after its purchase. We are family of 2 and barely used the washer. I bought this JUNK to replace our previous regular (no-sensor, no HE detergent craziness) WHIRPOOL washer bought in December 2004 that started leaking water in October 2021 — after almost 17 YEARS of regular and occasional heavy use. This JUNK lasted conveniently only 3 weeks after 1-year limited manufacturer warranty. I researched and tried to get an exact simple regular replacement of my old washer, but I was left only with this sensor and HE detergent nonsense washer options.

This is the worst washer I’ve ever used. It never got my clothes clean. My clothes would literally come out with dry patches on them, and no, I did not overfill the washer. You cannot adjust how much water it uses or leave the lid open while the washer is filling (which is important to me). I had it for 3 months and sold it at a major loss

We have had this washer for 5 years now, and bought it new. It jumps all over the place no matter how you load it. Takes 2-4 hours to wash a load. It doesn’t spin all the water out of the clothes most of the time. Piece of JUNK from day one!

We bought this washing machine in April of 2020 and it is now July of 2023 and the machine needs a new transmission which is not covered under the 10 Warranty. The cost to repair the machine is more than the machine itself which makes no sense. I guess that’s why the Maytag repairman is always so bored in the commercials. Not because of a dependable and reliable product that lasts for several years but because they are junk and break down. The 10 year warranty badging that they proudly display isn’t worth the cost of the sticker. Will never buy another Maytag or Whirlpool product again.

It doesn’t wash my dark colors very well. The agitator in the middle is more of a nuisance than anything. Clothes and sheets just wrap around it and cause the whole thing to shake violently. Trying to find something new.
