I have very limited space in my kitchen and this Maytag has a large freezer capacity compared to others of this size. I got the fingerprint resistance stainless steel model. It’s very attractive and there is lots of room in the fridge section with lots of adaptability due to moveable shelves.

Originally purchased another brand of refrigerator at Best Buy, but the unit was noisy — probably nothing wrong with it but just irritatingly loud. Best Buy let me exchange it for a similarly sized unit from Maytag, which was quiet. Not only that, but after failing to request a right to left door opening during the purchase exchange, the installation guys quickly remedied this during delivery without hesitation or complaint. Kudos to them. I should have taken more seriously the reviews of the first unit on the Best Buy site that warned me of noise, but I assumed this was the overreaction of oversensitive people. I shouldn’t have dismissed the fact that noise complaints on the first fridge exceeded all of the other complaints put together.

After a week, I’m really enjoying my new refrigerator. It’s working well and looks nice. Have to get used to putting my milk in the door, but I guess that’s the new and improved way to do it.

Love the exterior. Interior is nice also. Holds all that we need.
The lights in the refrig section and the freezer are bright and a real plus.

This was a nightmare my granddaughter cut her finger on the door edge and Best Buy was no help at all had to go to Maytag to take care of the problem avoid Best Buy if you can they are great until you have a problem.

3.5 yrs old and fresh food compartment is freezing the food, wide temp swings, and excessive running. Repair man said compressor amperage is low due to freon leak. Repairs would not be feasible as it would be well over half cost of new one.

When you set the temperature using the recommened temperature setting, the food in the freezer does not completely freeze. When you set the temperature to the next colder setting, the food in the refrigeratore freezes.

Space in my kitchen is quite small, so I chose a Maytag to replace the old Maytag, knowing it should fit. New one is ok, but it’s a bit deeper so sticks out into the kitchen maybe a couple inches past the replaced refrigerator. The top freezer is quite abit larger which is good. I can more easily see what’s there without moving packages around. The shelves in the main part had to be rearranged. I had hoped the delivery fellows would help me with that. But I figured out most of it.

The unit works great, I just wish I could adjust the shelves for my filtered water pitcher. This pitcher sits on the bottom shelf and the glass it sits on is not made ( in my opinion) as the glass shelves in the older models.
