    I replaced (3) Samsung units. Same models in a 2 year time frame. They were cute and techie, but all lemons and had a nightmare dealing with the company. Bottom Line had a wonderful experience with Mannie in Pacific Sales in the Sherman Oaks Store. He suggested this unit. It is solid and delivers. I love to cook. It does not have any of the fry features, I am a vegan and like my food to taste like food. For the old timers in the kitchen who like stability and a solid machine I suggest this one. Thus far, it has only been a few weeks. I am hopeful. I gave up on the Samsung unit

    Nice clean design, another fingerprint resistant stainless finish. Works but seems to take a long time to cook items. It’s 1000w like my old whirlpool model but the old one cooked faster

    We purchased this to replace a 20y.o. GE. I will say it is very nice looking but there the positives end. I cook all the time and certainly know my way around the kitchen. This microwave will cook bacon/frozen pizza/reheat an item – anything/everything – in a 3” center circle only. The 3” center of an item is overcooked/perfectly cooked or charred (you never know what you will get) and the outer area is still frozen/cold. Making a cup of tea/cooking in any microwave approved Pyrex/glass etc renders the item so hot it is untouchable without burning your hands/or reaching for the oven mitt and even when you get it out of the microwave with the mitts you can’t touch the cookware b/c it’s so hot. I contacted Maytag several times. 1st tech that came out said I needed to put food on plate/in cookware run for 25% of recommended cooking time, stop microwave, turn product 90^ and cook for another 25% of cooking time, then stop unit, turn another 90^ and cook another 25% etc…until I had completely rotated the 4 outer quadrants of the food item through the center?! What the heck? Are you serious? Am I on candid camera/being punked? I called Maytag again, they sent out a different guy and he said I needed a dedicated electric line b/c it shared a line with the cooktop – so $200 Electrician bill and a new line later – still the same problem. My mom was helping me out and made an Omaha Pot Roast (Followed the microwave instructions perfectly) and the center of the pot roast was charred/couldn’t be eaten/salvaged…the outer area was fine so 5 people attempted to share 1/3-1/2 of a pot roast meant for 6. She didn’t know about the 25% cook/turn thing – who would? She felt just awful – was only trying to help…house smelled for 2 days like charred pot roast and we are told by Maytag “it’s cooking as intended”… can’t tell you how much I absolutely regret this purchase, I have asked Maytag for another of the same thing b/c I believe this unit is defective…they said it’s working as intended so they can’t help us. I just wish they would make it right and switch it out. Whirlpool/Maytag/Kitchen Aid is all the same company – so I will replace it with a GE – too bad b/c it’s really a good looking unit.

    Most reviews are posted after recently having it installed. Well, my review is 2 years after usage. If you google this microwave, you’ll see the entire nation having the same issue. Errors saying doors open even though it’s not. It disables the microwave from being used. The 10-year warranty from Maytag is a TOTAL JOKE.

    In short, this is what it covers…. a rusty bin(inside the microwave) so if you’re not using your microwave in the swimming pool, I doubt you’ll ever have to stress that issue.

    And if the magnetron goes out (what warms up the food) it would be covered. So they back things you NEVER have to stress, all the things that do break… not covered by Maytag.

    In my case, I called Maytag, had a rep come out and fix it. charged me $75 for showing up (Understand, they have to get paid) just to tell me that it would cost more to fix this than getting a new one. Well, of course, we bought all Maytag stuff so now I have to figure out how to NOT BUY Maytag ( Whirlpool) and make my microwave match with the rest of our kitchen appliances. Let’s not forget, we have had issues with all our other new Maytag appliances (dishwasher mainly). Maytag was a workhorse unit 10 years ago, today it’s just more garbage and not worth the money.

    Here I am, stuck with a still new microwave and its a paperweight. Maytag had ZERO care in the world. Mind you its just my wife and I who use this thing. Usage is far below average and we maintain and take care of all of our items with extreme care.

    Got it on sale for a super value. Has all the options and is all shiny steel inside. Looks very nice and has a convection fan inside.

    This microwave has a solid feel when you open and close. Cooks food accurately. Cleaning is the easiest ever, may be due to stainless interior.

    The microwave is beautiful. It microwaves and has a convection oven built in. I have used it a few times and it works, but it is much louder than my range oven. The microwave will get as loud as the ventilation when using the convection bake feature. So I mostly plan to use the convection oven feature only during parties or emergencies.

    I ordered this product 5/31/2020. My scheduled installation date has been pushed back twice now and its currently sitting at July 27th. The current date is 6/26/2020and they’re sending mean email to review them. Bestbuy is telling me its due to manufacturer delay. However I ordered maytag washer and dryer from elsewhere after I ordered this microwave and it was already delivered a weekend a half ago. Not happy right now

    We were looking to add an oven to the kitchen for holiday meals. This has worked well for us as a small convection oven, and when used as a microwave it is very quiet.

    If I could give this appliance NO stars, I would. Purchased only 2.5 years ago and it suddenly stopped heating. Numerous calls, email, FB requests and posts on their twitter feed (which Maytag solicits) I am still waiting for help. Maytag does not support their “10 year Warranty”. Don’t be fooled – look for another brand.

    I love this microwave! It’s SO quiet, you don’t even know it’s on. The convection is great too….I use it to make homemade bread and it works really well. Definitely would recommend buying this!

    We owned the previous version of this microwave, it worked great for 10 years before it gave out. This one is nicer and we know some tricks to make it work better for us. Highly recommend getting a splatter dome. Don’t use lysol, clorox wipes on the stainless. The controls are nicer.
