I purchased this sub to replace my Infinity Entra sub that I bought back in 2001 from Audio King. I have liked these speakers, not the best, but worked for what I could afford back then. The issue that I was having is that the sub since I moved it downstairs is just not hitting hard enough for me anymore.
So at first, I decided that I was going to try replacing the receiver, but the Denon that I want was on sale for $1199, and I didn’t want to spend that much to replace my perfectly fine amp.
So I decided to buy a new Sub instead, and after doing my research narrowed it down to 3 different ones, but needed to hear them before purchasing one. I decided to go with the MartinLogan Dynamo 600X after being very impressed with it at the store, and glad that I did.
This sub is fantastic even out of the box, but the best part of it is the MartinLogan subwoofer app that is available to download from the app store. It allows you to fine tune the sub to your space and also run room correction with the additional Anthem ARC app. After playing with the app and fine-tuning it, which took about 30 minutes it sounds incredible. I can turn the receiver up to half volume now, and the sub kicks in, unlike my old one that had to be maxed on the volume before the lows kicked in.
I have only had this sub for 3 days, but am highly impressed with it so far, and glad that I went with MartinLogan over the Klipsch that I thought I wanted from researching subs. As soon as I can afford to upgrade my other speakers, I am going to look into making my whole system MartinLogan. I have been impressed with MartinLogan for years but have never been able to afford them, now that I can, I am so happy I decided to go with them over Klipsch or Def Techs.

After I found out about the App for Sound settings and Room correction available for the the Dynamo models 600x and up , I returned the Dynamo 400 I had just purchased and got myself the 600x, that was the best thing I did. If you can afford to spend a little more don’t get the 400 and go for the 600x or bigger if you have a large room. For apartments or rooms that aren’t too big I think the 600x is great. The app gives you a lot of options to tweak the sound settings that actually work and is just great. The app for room correction works very well and it makes a big difference. I’m very happy with this sub.

A bit large so you’ll need adequate space but the bass is big

Great subwoofer. Very happy with the sound it produces. Makes me want to watch TV all the time.
Picktownaudiophile –
Tough to beat in this price range. Surprisingly crisp power.
Svadle –
Excellent base in a 500 sq ft room! Replaced an old Polk Audio base that I had for 20 years.

While this was expensive it works great. Excellent low frequency
littlerey –
with just this woofer – didn’t have to change the other speakers, and the system sounds much better.
AGA16 –
Highly recommend! Great sound for theatre room or TV room

my old DCM powered amp finally failed, this was a replacement and works nicely into my current system

Resolved a problem we were having with tone quality and this solved the problem.

This sub has great sound quality. Tight controlled bass with detailed musicality. This would work very nicely in a small home theater room, but falls short on presence and impact during movies in a medium/large room (24ft by 16ft). Recommend for music listening at lower volumes, but unable to keep up with power from Yamaha aventage reciever (drowns out subwoofer)

What a great sounding subwoofer. It has an app that you install on your phone and then connects to it via Bluetooth. It was easy to connect and had great control of the sub’s crossover and filter and phase modes and volume. It also had a separate control for the sub’s volume at the 30hz range witch allows you to obtain a deep and rich bass sound for watching movies. This subwoofer blew away subs that were twice as expensive and is definitely worth a listen in store.
Gritty –
Not bad when included with the speakers. Wouldn’t purchase separately though
Kag83 –
The app is very convenient to use, but not just enough power despite its physical design

I purchased the Dynamo 600x Subwoofer to replace my original Dynamo sub that I purchased about 15 yrs ago. I was in my local Magnolia store browsing when I heard the 600x and was impressed. Even more so when the salesman started using the Martin Logan app on his phone to control the subwoofer. I was sold although the price for the sub was a little higher than I thought it would be. When I got it home and heard the sub the price was worth it. The sound was so much better than my old sub. Movies like Jurassic Park and Black Hawk Down sounded like I remember them in the movie theatre. This was a great purchase.

This is an amazing subwoofer definitely worth the money

Wireless is definitely the way to go, so you can place where you get the best sound
TBird20 –
Perfect! Good quality. Sounds great! Easy set up! Great pick up when it’s on sale! Top of the line product! Easy to set up without the hassle. I like the wireless option. Download app to adjust bass and sound quality! For only 120 watts it packs a punch. This is a solid sub. It has all the options to adjust the bass on the sub itself. I would recommend this to everyone especially beginners

Not super high end, but for around $500 better than others I listened to. Has downward facing speaker which helps fill the room, and there’s an app you can use to calibrate it so there’s no dead spots and the cutoff is where it should be
Damagic26 –
Bought this for room that has three walls and has a full kitchen behind it. I read reviews that this sub
was better for smaller rooms but I bought it anyway because my wife can’t handle over the top bass. I seem to have got the exact middle ground I needed. She hasn’t complained about the house shaking and I get a fuller sound when watching action movies
Jesus –
The sound quality is amazing, it is well worth the price.
Dano –
Great sound! Just what I needed as I wanted to hear bass when the volume was turned down low.

I bought this subwoofer to replace a Polk sub that lasted about 8 years. I did a good bit of research and saw many complaints of premature amp failures on lots of the big name brands in the $300 price range. I started looking at higher priced subs and became interested in the Martin Logan Dynamo line as there were lots of good reviews and few negative ones. When it was offered at 25% off, I decided to take the plunge.
I am very pleased with this sub. It is punchy and defined yet not overbearing. It’s not a kick you in the chest kind of thing (at 50% volume on the sub), but it sounds great. I’ve had the sub a little over a month and haven’t tried playing it louder yet because it blends in so well as is with my 20+ year old Infinity home theater speakers. I’m just letting my AVR control the crossover setting. I did install and use the Martin Logan apps, but to tell the truth, for general listening, the sub sounds good without using them. That being said, the SubControl app is nice for easily adjusting settings if you want to add some extra rumble to a movie, for example. So far, I am very pleased with my purchase.
One last thing… I had no desire for the current plethora of fake black wood finishes on subs, and sadly, that seems to be about the only thing you can find in cheaper subs. It’s not for me. I love the finish on this sub as it blends in rather than sticks out like a sore thumb

This is a good value. It’s on the lower end of the high end home audio spectrum. I matched with my ten year old Paradigm. It wasn’t what I would call a great improvement so I returned it and bought the SVS but spent 300$ more.
I’d say if you are wanting a full home theater system this is a good product if you don’t want to go to the next level.
One plus. You can get their transmitter receiver that allows no worse and links up in seconds .

Good product. Well made but probably could be smaller

I’ve been wanting to enhance my home theater for a while and I finally got what I need to do so. These Martin Logan speaker systems from Best Buy are awesome. Thanks Best Buy!

This subwoofer sounds amazing! I purchased two of them for my theater and I am extremely satisfied with the sound. Would highly recommend!

I purchased this subwoofer with one of their center channels as an upgrade to my franken system. I have mirage Nano as my rear surrounds also mirage subwoofer and pioneer elite Dolby atmos for the fronts. I have to say it really changed the sound of my system. I am happy.
Dragonfly –
Another great product from Martin Logan. I am glad I added this to my surround sound system.
Disappointed –
If I could give no stars I would. Total misrepresentation of this open box item. Supposed to be excellent, it was crap. Scratched, dented, totally abused. Shame on Best Buy. I returned it within 24 hours. What a pity.

In exploring which way to go with a new subwoofer, and not breaking the bank, the Martin Logan was quite appealing. I took a risk, and it has paid off. It’s a very tight bass response, with multiple options to tailor to room and listener specifics. The first movie watched proved the wisdom of purchasing this sub.
My previous sub was deep, but not solid. With the Martin Logan, everything on the low end sounded much better and enhanced the movie experience: using the app, which is easy to do, i fine-tuned it to my preferences without difficulty.
Martin Logan for the win!

With the help of the sales associate it turned out to be an excellent choice for the room that we wanted to use it in.

So many options and alot of research landed me on this fine sub. If you are seeking a great sub forusic and home theater, look no further. The integrated room correction and the app help to blend this sub seemlessly into any set up. If you are on the fence based on watts I can assure you for a small to medium space this thing will rock your world.
Looking forward to picking another up to run these in dual sub configuration!! Once again Best Buy customer service was exceptional and shipping was flawless.
NewChristmasTV –
Easy setup with the app and has a great sound for the price.
Crew –
This an amazing subwoofer and I love it sounds. I love the way it sounds when movies are on.

the sub rattles the house for sure, its huge and powerful great investment

First, it’s an amazing sounding sub for a relatively small size. I have this in the primary bedroom and didn’t want a sub that would take up a lot of room. It more than delivers the bass I need, and the app set-up is great.
But here’s the really amazing part– I previously had a MartinLogan Dynamo 500 sub. After 10 years of use it started having some issues. I emailed ML to see if I could perhaps buy a replacement part, and they instead shipped me the part for free. But that didn’t fix the problem. Long story short, they sent me the D600 for free– even though my 500 was 9 years out of warranty! And there was zero reason for them to have done that, it was not expected, and I did not ask for them to do that. Talk about a company standing behind their product.
Yes, the sub is more expensive than a Klipsch (which I also have in another room), but the sound is better, and when the company has this level of customer support, you can’t go wrong.

Cody and Payden from The Woodlands, TX were simply awesome
Great work Magnolia team

The unit is very nice…looks rich and black. It’s very large, but doesn’t look out of place. Very easy to unpack. Instructions are clear and concise. Unit is packaged carefully. Works great. Love it with my Martin Logan speakers.
