I was looking for high quality sub to add Kef ls50 wireless without spoiling kef sound and my intention to use only for movies or some times for music listening if i want feel like concert like big bold sound. I knew, needed something like room correction sub and app control required as i had experience with other brand room correction sub. So i tried Dynamo 800x. i left with great disappointment after playing while with different settings, Mobile ARC nothing worked out . there was huge vibration on floor ( wood carpet 1st floor ) without out tight musical bass and feel in my gut . if i increase volume it sounded like ported sub woofer especially with movies . Even i waited for 3 weeks for break in period and no significant improvements . so i decided to try 1100x , gland i did. exactly this is the what my expectation were in my mind, when i was searching for sub woofer . With 1100x i am able to hear difference in bass musicality. Sound is very very musical with fast thump feel in my gut, big and dynamic tight bass even at moderate main volume of Kef without any vibration on floor (80hz crossover and -14 db sub with Mobile ARC ) . I saw The Ritual, quiet place, The Greatest show man trough app tv , All theses sounded great especially in ritual movie after they enter forest , there was thunder sound and that sound almost reaches near to life-like real thunder sound. From this experience i can strongly recommend that do not go for 800x and just go for 1100x there is a huge step up between 800x and 1100X. i can say simply 1100x performance matches the production description what ever ML mentioned.

Had a 15″ Klipsch hit by lightning and replaced it with the 1100X. Also have the older model of this, the 1000X and both work superbly in my system. Thought I might need a little more punch but this one packs as much as my room needs (and it’s a big room).

Allows two amps ! LFE input for home theater and stereo / speaker inputs for two channel audio. home theater receiver controls crossover frequency for LFE, while the sub controls cross over for stereo. So it works great in both worlds !

My biggest takeaway: ARC isn’t just marketing lingo… It’s a legitimately awesome feature that makes a VERY noticeable difference. I imagined it would make a small difference, but after setting up and toggling ARC, it’s a killer feature that will have you sold on it the moment you hear it.
I have some audio treatment in my room, but it’s not perfect, especially for the low-end. ARC really helps fill in the gap in my acoustic treatment.
Alright, now on to the rest of the sub… Clean, tight bass, with some great control through the app which helps with tuning to your taste.
Sounds and feels fantastic.
Price-wise, there are subs with better specs for the money. However, it’s hard to quantify the value of something like ARC.
Movie, music, and night modes all work well and perform as you would expect for each application.
If you get this, you won’t be disappointed!

This was a great addition to my 7.1 system that is anchored by a pair of ESL-X L & R, ESL-C Center and my FX surrounds. The Dynamo 1100 adds that extra punch which is especially handy when watching videos. The bass is tight and never fatiguing. Build quality is top notch. Easy to set up and balance in your listening room too. Great sub and highly recommended!

I wanted a sub that would deliver big power. What I got was so much more. This fills the room whether for movies or for music. With the ARC system, it was really easy to set up and adjust – it did it for me. I especially like being able to increase its output via an app rather than messing with the back. Also, it is set up as down firing – i love that I can easily adjust it to be front firing if needed.

Martin Logan makes great subwoofers. This one is no exception. The 1100x is not the largest (there is one bigger model above it) but still very powerful and compact, as a sealed model. It offers a good balance between price and performance. Getting two or more subwoofers is often a better choice than one large one. They can smooth the signal more easily between seating positions. These ML subs have great connectivity and offer ARC which is awesome. Also got the 1100x because it has balanced input for LFE. (smaller models don’t). Overall very happy so highly recommend it.

This purchase is to replace a ML Dynamo 700X. The 1100X is a bit larger with a 12” woofer compared to the 10” woofer of the 700X. Another difference is the amp size with 3x the power. The 1100X fills a large space with powerful, yet melodic bass whilst delivering realistic thunder and explosions from the LFE channel. The best features I like about the 1100X are the Anthem Room Correction (ARC) and the Bluetooth MartinLogan Subwoofer Control App.
ARC tames the standing waves in your room by tuning the sub to your listening chairs. You can use a separately sold mic and computer with ARC called the Perfect Bass Kit (PBK) or download an app to your iOS or Android device and utilize the built in mic to perform the measurements. Quickly and easily, the app tunes the subwoofer via Bluetooth and you’re good to go.
Matching your subwoofer level to your system level is simple using the ML Subwoofer Control App. You can either utilize an SPL meter and the app to adjust the 1100X level or run your AVRs internal room correction to tune your system. The app allows you to adjust several aspects of the 1100X such as phase, 25 Hz level, and overall level. I use this app daily as it has listening modes for Movies, Music, and Night. If I want more bass, I simply adjust the level to exactly what I want from my seat. Bass sounding thin, adjust phase on the fly by increments of one – not hard presets.
As for the 700X, I moved it to my office and connected it to the Sonos AMP I use for two channel music and radio. The sub still works fine. The Bluetooth transmitter failed after about 10 years and ML no longer makes it which necessitated the move to the 1100X.

I am very happy with the ML Dynamo 1100X. I will probably purchase a second one for the rear. I did combine this sub with a JL e112 E-Sub. The result is phenomenal. The hard hitting accurate bass delivered by the ML Dynamo 1100X really eleviate the JL e112. Really happy with it.

This is not the most powerful one offered by ML, but it is big enough for my room. The size is on the compact side and its 12″ subwoofer delivers precise and tight base. Excellent for classical music and movies. It is a perfect match to my other ML speakers.

Great sounding sub. ARC really takes away boominess and makes bass note very clear. Great for music, probably not enough tactile feel for HT. I ended up returning and getting its big brother 1600X to fill my large listening space better and to get that feel in the chest from the lowest notes. It was a tough call as 1100X really does a great job with music but lacked that bottom 5% feel I wanted.

I have 2 of these I purchased both through the open box program at BB. Open box if you can wait is the best way to purchase any major appliance or audio equipment in the country, IMO.
Non ported subs match up better with high end speakers like Kef which I have. These 2 sound heavenly paired with my KEF Q750s in 2 channel mode. If you’re 50/50 movies and music get this one. Ported subs like SVS can really earthquake a room but aren’t as accurate as these. Their accuracy is rediculous. I left these downward firing the way they came and have has no interest in switching the to front firing which can easily be done in minutes to fit in a cabinet. Getting 2 instead of one gave me all the accuracy and punch I’ll ever need for movies and all the perfectly responsive base for my 2 channel listening needs.

This is an awesome subwoofer. I bought 2 of them. They are replacing SVS SB-3000. They are great but didn’t fit my use case, which is the desire to use the line level in at the same time as LFE. These automatically ignore all sub low pass frequency, phase and other setting for the LFE. Which is perfect for me and the 2 channel music use. They look and feel like quality and the ARC tuning is an added bonus over the SVS.

Clean, tight and musical bass that gives a visceral bottom end to movies. It’s not floor shaking like a ported design but geppstill gets so low that I feel rather than hear the bass at 20Hz or so.

I have 2 of these in my theater room. One wireless and one wired. Both ways work and sound great! Clear controlled tones. No annoying humming with a very simple app that makes it easy to control. Only annoying thing is having 2 apps to control the system. (pre-amp and sub app). Covers are a bit difficult to keep in place.

Wow, this subwoofer is powerful but highly accurate. Everyone says subwoofers are too slow to be played with Magnepan speakers. This sub is a match made in heaven with my Magnepan 1.7. It’s very fast and accurate, plenty of punch when needed. I have this sub set up to front-fire with crossover set at 75 Hz with high level speaker wire, and it’s just perfect and sounds way better than REL T9x. The bluetooth android app that let you control everything from your chair is a bonus that even my friend’s $6,000 Paradigm Persona sub does not have. I highly recommend this subwoofer.

I really think is better than those old fashion subs that you need to get up to do adjustments this is in the palm of your hand and goes dip with bass if that what you want . thank you best buy for nice product and service..
