Five star sound for a slim line. Great surround calibration system for the price. Packed with features. -1/2 star for display issues when switching between and Apple TV and Xfinity cable box both on HDMI. -1/2 star for support options (limited web support and 11am to 6pm EST Monday to Friday phone support). -1 star for flaky Bluetooth transmission to headphones. Works great for 3 to 5 minutes then a lot of static. Please update support options, mobile application and Bluetooth transmission to headphones. You have a great product otherwise.

Really great performance for our needs. Used as front only (no surround) 3 speaker system it easily fills our space.nFor the first time we have a receiver in which the ARC and “Airplay” functions work perfectly every time.
The Sound through 3 Aperion Speakers is clean and clear and the preprogrammed audio modes are accurate. Easy set up and self balancing for the room.

Awesome receiver when it’s working but it stopped playing when I’m trying to watch cable tv/Netflix. Bluetooth and internet radio still works tho. Tried everything to fix it but apparently marantz have a problem with the HDMI boards in the receivers.

I am using it solely for music listening right now, but absolutely no complaints on the sound quality. Have not yet tried out some of the more advanced A/V and wireless features. Marantz should offer more models in this form factor, as it fits in so many places where a larger receiver will not. Highly recommended.

I was told Morantz was top of the line but they never said you had to be a techno genius to use. I am using with the brand-new series 6 8KTLC Roku .Tv. When I use the Roku channels I have to turn it up to a 70 or 80 to be able to listen decently if I use live TV a 20 or 30 works there’s absolutely no control it does not give you any easy way of setting up surround sound works until it doesn’t so for example watching TV live TV I can’t even use surroundsound because it only goes to the three front speakers if I use Apple TV I can’t use surroundsound with her music because it only goes to the two front speakers there’s absolutely no easy way of understanding the system and support sucks . Otherwise it’s a great system.

It takes many remotes and extra steps trying to figure out how or which remote to use out of the picture! So easy to choose what you want to listen to or use!

This is my second Marantz receiver. I went in search of others. Did some listening at BestBuy, my local HiFi store, and Nebraska Furniture Mart. Tried several other makers, and kept coming back to this brand and model.
Set up was easy, although the NEED for a TV to do the set up was a bit annoying (I am using this for music only, and not paired with my TV/DVR). I also had an issue with the analog in for my CD player. I tried two different Cd players and several different RCA cables, to no affect. I had to return it for a different one, but the replacement has been perfect.
Paired with Klipsch speakers, configured for 5.1, the sound quality is perfect for me. There is so much detail rendered.
Pros: Overall: looks great, sounds even better, superior price point.
Cons: A minor glitch with analog inputs. (And yes, I should upgrade to HDMI…later.)

Always been a fan of Marantz. Needed the slim/sleek design. Would be 5 stars, however there is a delay in audio with my TV. I’m using ARC and tried adjusting the audio delay, however it’s not the for all shows, so then I’m constantly adjusting. Just not going to use the ARC hook-up.

I wish Best Buy could have suggested the two output A/V HT. I’ve two sets of speakers in my home (on the walls and on the ceilings). This A/V HT could only connect to the ones on the walls, not on the ceiling ones. They said I’ve to purchase another one for that. Also, during installation of this, they only put one battery in the remote. They forgot the other one. I had to put my own two AAA batteries in the remote then.

I tried this receiver out when my old Yamaha receiver was damaged by lightning. I liked it but it just didn’t seem to have the power to drive my speakers and get the sound I was looking for out of my system. I returned it and tried several other brands but settled on the new Sony AN1000 which is awesome. I wouldn’t normally buy a lower end system but it sounded amazing compared to all the others I tested with my setup.

I would like to be able to review it, but it was returned by UPS, It was returned due to having a POBox address on the online purchase order form. But the form had a physical address right next to the POBox address. Living in a rural area, I took the salesperson’s advice that any carrier could deliver the item and entered both addresses. UPS interpreted this as a POB and returned it from their local HUB. If I only knew…. I think it will be a good review if I ever receive the product,

This item and I are poorly matched. I wanted a regular stereo receiver. This is something else. It has to be setup either through a TV hook-up or by calling their support number. It has a low sensitivity tuner, no knobs for speaker balance or treble and bass knobs. Adjustments must be made with a complicated series of button pushing on the remote. The volume control is geared wrong; it requires many revolutions to adjust the volume.
