Okay but not great for house phone. Mine disconects every month or so and has to be rebooted. I have found that forwarding calls do not work well a lot of times. However; the price is right and it will get you by.

It was easy to install and use. The existing phone number transferred over smoothly and in reasonable time.
Customer service appeared to give only cookie cutter answers without addressing my questin in a meaningful technical way. I am a little leary whenever auto-pay is a requirement. For these reasons have given it 4 stars instead of more. Time will tell if they deserve more (or less).

I was told this is a updated version and would have better reception and work better. I dont notice any difference in it from the old one. I think I would rather pay magic jack to have home service than the phone company. Alot cheaper, even with some problems.

So very sick of AT&T, so I decided to go to Best Buy and purchase the Magic Jack. So very glad, best purchase ever. I know a lot of people feel a cell phone is all they need in a house, but for me I need a phone close by because of my disability if I should have a problem and the phone is in the back of the apartment, I may have a problem getting help and for the price for a year you can not beat it. I love the Magic Jack.

I have used MJ for a number of years and it works great. I recently upgraded my old device. Although the cost for service has increased over the past few years it’s still much cheaper than monthly home service. The app which allows you to receive calls via your cell phone make this product ever better. Now I can either use a home phone or answer from my cell phone when I’m away. I never miss a call.

The Magicjack was purchased to replace the previous one I had for over ten years before a power surge during a stome took it out. The process of activating the new unit was quick and easy, the one year subscription that came with the new Magicjack purchase automaitcally added to the length of my current subscription. I am very happy with this item.

I bought MagicJack because it was a little cheaper than Ooma on an ongoing basis. If you are considering purchasing & want to transfer your number, be sure to check their website to be certain they will transfer your number before you buy. The box doesn’t warn you. Their automated system said they could not transfer my number. I talked with Tech support twice. They suggested that if I confirmed with CenturyLink that the number was active & transferable, they would make the contacts to transfer the number. I checked with CenturyLink. Everything was ok on their end. When I called back to MagicJack, they would only say their system showed the number could not be transferred. They would not contact CenturyLink. Bought an Ooma, and they transferred the number in less than a week without any problems.

Works great! Our location is rural and I wasn’t sure if it would work very well. But it works wonderfully! Clear and loud! Tip: plug directly into the modem for best sound clarity. It was easy to set up and I’m considering getting a second device.

It works well but you have to have a single cordless phone with multiple handsets to use as replacement of traditional landline phone. Also, setup is easy but setting up voicemail and other features are not user friendly. They need better instructions and a customer service number to call for questions. I’ve not been able to find a customer service number

I needed the MagicJack kit for it’s adapter.They apparently only seem to last a few years before they “burnout. “
It got me up and running and all I had to do was sign in to my MJ account to notify MagicJack that I was already an existing customer and receive an additional year credit on my subscription. It turned out to be substantially less money than just getting the part from MJ and paying for an additional year subscription or buying the kit from MJ. Also, I got it delivered the next day.

I was a Vonage user for many years, mainly because of their international coverage – especially when my daughter was travelling overseas a lot. It made calling her affordable. In the past year, I decided to downsize things that were no longer providing the best bang for the buck and so I switched to MagicJack. The suond quality and service are as good or better than Vonage and the yearly cost is a fraction of what I was paying.

Omg I love that they are improving the service. I have always had this device but now I got it for me my parents. I am getting rid of their bills and getting them this phone service. And the cool thing about it is they allow you to port over your old number but only after you activate your service. So they never lose their old number that has been with them since my birth, lol. I can fax off the one line and number from my printer. It’s an all In One game changer.

We did need a very knowledgeable and adept assistance to get the Magic Jack hooked up. We needed a splitter to tie it to our “eero” wIfi. So far it is working very well and we certainly hope that continues, because we got rid of our “Mediacom” expensive bundle It even works with our captel phone (for hearing impaired with transcribed conversation!

Wanted to replace landline phone provider. Just needed internet and set up an account paid roughly $15 to Port my number so I kept it the same. I’ve been using it ever since for a few years. Save me a monthly payment to the phone company and magicJack cost roughly $60 a year

We purchased MagicJack as part of our “cutting the cord” adventure. A few little issues with porting our number and accessing voicemails, but those are due to getting used to the new process rather than some functional issue. $40/year instead with MJ of $250 – $360/yr with Verizon, so a happy customer here.

Easy to wire up and install but software is very hard to follow. If it’s your first time setting up you will have to call for help. The online software assumes you know what to do. After getting help they did walk me through the set up, it was not like what the software said to do at all. So far it works well and my old number was ported over in several days. They give you a temp phone number while yours is getting ported over
