Bought Jitterbug Smart3 phone from Lively, Best Buy for my mother. Had to call a representative to set up 12-6-23. After 2 hours on the phone trying to factory reset it, she said it was defective and would send me a shipping label to send back in 2 days. Called 12-11,23, no shipping label ever sent. They said I would have to send it back (“We never send a shipping label”), restocking $ 10 fee, no money back for $35.00 activation fee, and probably no money for glass protector and case (39.00) fee. Then, it would take 21 days to refund some of my money. What a loss of money, time, and frustration. B

Benefits – big screen, big buttons, layout is simple
Cons- just like any tech for an 82 year old, just need patience and time to show them how to answer, and dial a number. But she likes it so far, 3 weeks into using it.

Had issues setting up the phone, tried calling customer service for help and they weren’t answering the phone. They ended up sending me a new phone but I still had issues setting up. Took forever to figured it out. But over all it is a great phone for old folks like me. Easy to use. Convenient.

The phone is easier to use than the jitterbug 2, except for the airplane mode. It is easier top put the jitterbug 2 in airplane mode than the smart3. most other functions are easy on the smart3.

I am 83 and partially handicapped and got this smartphone for the “urgent response” feature. One of my problems is w/my hands–they are somewhat handicapped so it is difficult to navigate, Also, I find that the phone itself is too heavy for me and it has all these different functions on it that are entirely unnecessary for me. I paid $50+ to activate the phone and got a person with the worst possible accent and couldn’t understand a word she said. This is my 4th phone as I keep dropping them and this one will probably meet the same fate as it is too heavy.

This phone is amazing!!!!! I am 75 and have not had a phone that I could USE. This came with an instruction book/user guide. I was able to get it going without any problems, and I did it by myself. There are no words to describe how easy it was!!!

It works pretty well for my sister (who talks a lot). But her battery lasted just 2.5 years before charging failed. Some BestBuy staff said they could fix it but it would take a few weeks to get the battery; a new Smart3 cost just a little more. Ultimately Lively staff could import the old phone’s contents. But Google could NOT send a verification text to an old number so the G-mail account is now orphaned.
I would recommend to some friends (especially if tech-UN-savvy) but not all.

the sales dept was great-but-the phone was disappointing it froze( my fault ) up during set-up and on its return to Best Buy the salesman had to unfreeze it if it froze up that easily the elderly person who was to receive it would do worse playing with it i bought a flip to help alleviate confusing for the man but it turned out to be just as bad I am disappointed in the Jitterbug. this does not take in to account the 25 min wait for lively to put a person on the phone or the 2 hangups that occurred

The phone itself seems to be really easy to use . My only problem is that when I was using an app that I had added, the Google help thing kept popping up and I couldn’t get rid of it.
In the first place I didn’t need help, I couldn’t see the screen with all the “help” and I don’t like Google anyway. I need to call the Jitterbug people for a solution. The phone was on sale and was a really good bargain. I have finally found a phone that I can understand and actually use!
