The screen has more of a matte finish which is great for reducing glare. I can push 160hz on the monitor and honestly, its great for coding as text is crisp and legible and great for gaming. Im more of a casual player so this is more than enough for me. Only downside is there are no speakers, but either way its still a great monitor.

Ive have this monitor for over a year now and im still amazed by the visual quality and colors. I have a 65 in tv samsung qled and the monitor still looks better. I just recently started playing doom again and for a 7yr old game it looks amazing on thos monitor.

While this is a great monitor with great picture quality, the build quality and quality control on these is just TERRIBLE!
I needed TWO monitors for my home office setup. In total I bought 5 of these!! Out of the 5, only 2 were NOT defective upon opening. I returned the remaining 3. The defective ones all had the issues that other reviews have already mentioned: weird flickering, weird patches of white/gray spots where the screen flickers (like statics on the TV), weird stuck rows/columns of pixels.
Among the 2 monitors that I kept, one broke in less than a year. I turned it on one day and there was a row of yellow pixels stuck right in the middle of the screen. Luckily it was still under warranty, and I was able to get it repaired for free. HOWEVER, right when the warranty expired it broke again. This time, the contrast/brightness would constantly go in an our (bright -> dark -> bright -> dark in quick succession).
I got in touch with LG, paid $350 dollars for the repair service (yikes, half the price of the monitor!!), and just got it back. It’s working now, but the OSD joystick on the bottom is now super stiff and I can’t easily navigate the menus anymore).
All in all, after 2 years of ownership, only 1 monitor is still working properly. So the defect rate is at a staggering 80%! This is certainly not the quality I expect from LG.

The display is wonderful and 27″ setups are pretty adequate for PC gaming in 4K. The major drawback isn’t the display itself but Windows HDR that can be extremely painful to deal with. Be prepared to keep switching through the presets and toggling through various HDR settings in games. Another drawbsck with PCs in general is the lack of streaming multimedia content in 4K HDR so if you expect to use this strictly for watching movies and shows, you’re better off buying something else.

This monitor is great quality and the performance for both watching and gaming is something I appreciate a lot. It has improved both my enjoyment and skill.
For the price points though I feel there are some
aspects that are lacking and It disappoints me a little bit. One is that the corners of
the monitor are over bright when using UHD and it hinders the visuals a bit. Also there is no sound system and for this price, I wish a small sound system could have been included

First of all, this is a great monitor with great color and fast response time. But there are some disappointing parts. One is the Gysnc not work very well. Still able to see screen tearing. If use fast response, the tearing reduces but no longer supports HDR. So you need to balance between color and fast refresh. You know both of those can be achieved with OLED. So I suggest you get an OLED instead. Second the back lighting is partial, this means you can see clear light leakage on black screen with mouse moving around. So I suggest get an OLED instead. This monitor spend a lot on the Color LED which is not useful at all. It only worth about 500 level. But you know this is 27 inch 4k, so not able to get OLED with this small size cheaply.

Picture and colors are excellent, but the IPS glow seems to be extreme. The unit I received had very noticeable glow in one corner that could be seen even in regular use. It also had a significant amount of actual backlight bleed in all 4 corners.
This is disappointing, because the build quality overall seems very good. The stand and screen are solid and well built, but the quality control of the actual panel display seems very poor. Unless I just got extremely unlucky with my unit.

Good monitor for gaming, been using it for a couple months and theres no issues so far.
Pros:
-Good colors (with some tuning)
-Solid build quality
-Good motion clarity for a 144hz display
-4K resolution, looks great just as you would expect.
Cons:
-4K 144hz required a firmware update, only did 120hz out of the box. Fortunately 144hz w/ no DSC worked without issues after updating.
-144Hz at 4K isnt easy to achieve, this isnt what I would go for unless you have an RTX 4080/4090 or Radeon 7900 XTX.
I am using a desktop pc with an RTX 4090 and HDMI 2.1 cable.

Purchased item A and item B both on 12/29/2023 for next day delivery. Item A got delivered no problem! Item B changed to delayed instead. The holiday weekend would get in the way of a next day delivery if rescheduled. The issue arose on 1/2/2024 as the delivery date now changed to 1/13/2024. The item was still available to purchase with next day delivery according to the website. I had to chat with two different agents online because the first was useless and said nothing could be done since the price had increased since the day of purchase. The second agent recommended i purchase instore instead, even though the item was still available for next day delivery. After unnecessary back and forward, the agent finally came to their senses and asked a supervisor if they could price match and I repurchase the exact same item. Well I repurchased the item for delivery 1/6/2024. So now I had Item B delayed with delivery date of 1/13/2024, and Item C with delivery of 1/6/2024. Well MAGICALLY, both item B and C now showed out for delivery on 1/3/2024. To my surprise only the replacement (Item C) was delivered via FedEx. Item be was marked delivered but no where to be found! I gave it until 1/6/2024 just incase. I requested a refund for Item B, well by 1/7/2024 I received notification that my REPLACEMENT was on its way but DELAYED! Well it has been none stop chatting with agents, each more incompetent than the previous from then until today. They all have a different story of how the refund process works. I find it to be an embarrassment what Best Buy considers customer service. It is almost a month not and I do not have the original item in hand or my money. How much longer do I need to wait? I need resolution immediately! $661.99 can not just be floating around with no explanation to me. I have since decided to return item C as well as I do not want any more business with Best Buy at this point until this is resolved!
