This dryer is awesome!! We were able to get this at such a discount, it would have been stupid to not buy it. That being said, we are extremely happy with this dryer. It is a much larger capacity than we are used to and are super pleased to have another LG item in our household. Our sales person and the operations manager at the store were top notch. Limited options during there pandemic forced this purchase. Steam doesn’t work well but most importantly after a year the drum continued to spin after the cycle completed. Keeps running until you open the door. It’s an intermittent issue caused by a sticky relay. Unfortunately the relay is soldered into the circuit board so you have to replace the entire board for a whipping $300. It’s a bad design with sub-standard components. But a different machine.

Love it! I have the super sized one that only Best Buy stocked. I wash & dry large comforters often due to allergies. It has an antibacterial cycle as well. Oversized King comforters dry faster but still need to be shifted. It’s easy on clothing and dries super fast before the sensor so check clothing after 15 minutes.

I wanted to upgrade to a larger front load dryer that could hold a comforter and this one fit the bill. It is super quiet and it dries anything up within a reasonable time the first time around. It looks great and it’s simple to use with plenty of cycle options. Do be mindful of the dimensions of where you are placing this big dryer at. Mine barely fit in my laundry room space, and I had to move it away from the door frame in order to avoid hitting it with the garage exit door due to the depth of it. I gambled with my measurements and luckily I got away with it (barely though). If you have less than 32″ of depth from the wall to the front of the door frame, it will not fit. I had this for just over three weeks and I will update my experience after a year. LG products have proven reliable for me for many years, so I expect the same with this item.

This dryer was chosen by Best Buy to replace an LG dryer that could not be repaired. It is supposed to be a SteamDryer, but two separate install teams confirmed that the unit we received does NOT have a connection for the water line. The first installer broke our cold water valve by turning it the wrong way. That required a sizable plumber’s bill and countless hours in the Best Buy claims process, resulting in a very small portion being paid out. We also went 3 weeks without being able to dry our laundry at home. Ultimately, it was a very pricey “free” dryer. It does a good job drying, but the door, for as large as it is, reveals a fairly small opening. We do not have space for the risers, and I find it hard to get all of the clothes out. Wish I could have a do-over on this process. But some other appliance company will benefit from our future purchases.

I cannot understand why the LG appliances get such high reviews! I bought this washer/dryer set 7 years ago. The motherboard on the washer died at 6 years and 2 months and LG (as well as Samsung, foreign manufacturers) by US law do not have to make parts for these machines after 4-6 years. I trashed my washer due to no part available anywhere in the entire US. For the last 2 years my dryer hasn’t been drying a heavy load of laundry (2 blankets) in less than 2.5-3.5 hours. I finally called a repairman who said the controller is dead and irreplaceable (and even if it was replaceable, the part alone is $500) so my dryer is trash. I know that appliances don’t last 20 years anymore but at the time, I paid over $2500 for the set and I expected a little better than I got. My incredibly honest repairman told me that LG and Samsung are great tech manufacturers but don’t buy their appliances. I’m taking his advice today as I purchase a new dryer. BTW, my Whirlpool top load washer with removeable agitator is awesome. My clothes have been cleaner with this Whirlpool than they ever got with my LG! Looking for a new dryer this weekend. Also, I’m cancelling my Consumer Reports subscription after many years. Shame on them for not exposing the parts availability issues. American manufactured appliances by law must manufacture parts for 10 years!

Love, love, love this dryer. Large enough for my king size comforter. So many different settings, gives my entire family what they need. From no heat to sanitize. So very quiet and has a count down for time remaining. Due to the sensor the time to dry tends to be less then originally noted and turns off when sensor detects the items are dry. This saves energy and money. So, love, love, love this dryer!!!

Great dryer! Handles drying large loads with ease. The sensor functions are also better than past dryers I’ve used and its able to fully dry larger loads quickly. Steam function is kind of a bummer that it’s a small fillable reservoir, and not a direct water line. But, I’m sure being able to use distilled water is hugely beneficial for the life and maintenance of the unit.
