We fell in love with this stove and bought it on sale in November. It was delivered just before Christmas. I bake a lot so I couldn’t wait to catch up on my Christmas cookies. I turned the oven on and pretty soon it started singing a high-pitched “woo-woo-woo”. The dog freaked out and ran upstairs. The singing continued while the cookies baked and until the stove cooled down. After some discussions with Best Buy the stove was replaced with the same model a month later. Immediately after it was installed we tested it and guess what?! It sang “woo-woo-woo.” The installers heard it too.
To their credit, Best Buy agreed to replace the LG with any comparable stove in their inventory. We chose a Samsung. The same guys who installed our second singing LG installed the Samsung. They told us they had another customer complain of the “singing” oven, thinking maybe the installers made a mistake.
The LG is a gorgeous stove, but I don’t recommend it.
YUCK –
This range was our second choice after the first one that was delivered, a KitchenAid model, had so many broken and non-functioning parts it had to be replaced.
While we think this will be a good range, it is at our cabin, and we have not had a chance to use it yet.

Love this stove! It’s my first LG stove but so far I’m very impressed and may never go back to another brand. The black stainless steel is beautiful and I love the single use knob for setting the oven, was odd since i thought you’d use the panel display like most stoves, but actually love the simplistic design feature. burners lite evenly making for great low or high-temp cooking and the ovens convection works perfectly giving me some of the best roasted chicken I’ve made in years. Paid Best Buy to do all the installation and they did a phenomenal job.

First of all, I am STUNNED at the great reviews and it’s making me wonder if I just have a dud/lemon. The oven has made a high pitched woo-woo-wooo sound since the day I got it last July. Gets even louder when the oven is cooling down. Thought it was normal until I read some of the bad reviews of this oven. Convection bake does not work at all. I’ve ruined 2 turkeys and a high end standing rib roast. I have to turn everything I make in it around 1/2 way through cooking time so it cooks even. The broiler will come on in about 2 minutes UNLESS you are baking and then go to broil and then it takes 7 minutes to turn on. Yes, my husband and I have timed it. The self cleaning is a joke. I cleaned it for the 5 whole hours last time and it still isn’t all the way clean. I HATE THIS OVEN and can not wait until manufactures start making appliances again so I can replace the freaking thing. If I had to say something positive….uh…..I like the blue inside? That’s it.

I have always used gas cooktops and gas ranges but this LG unit is great . Very easy to use and it cooks very fast, i am very happy with my purchase of this LG gas range . The oven part of this is also very simple to use, the convection cooks fast and even threw the meal. Very happy camper.

We purchased this stove to replace an electric stove. It’s an understatement to say “we love this stove.” To start with, this LG stove with the black stainless steel is absolutely beautiful. I wasn’t sure if I’d like the controls on the front panel but I now much prefer it. The oven is very large and the door is very solid, almost heavy to open. The controls are solid and not cheap feeling. The oven settings are easy to understand and easy to use. We’ve only used the oven twice so I really can’t comment on that yet. If you’re looking for a quality gas oven, look no further.

The oven is beautiful and I do not use the oven very often, mainly the stove top / range. The bottom, especially the corners look like the black stainless finish is wearing off. I also find it cumbersome to light. I have to turn the knob all the way to low end and back and then back to low to light. To get to low flame and then back to off it goes past high flame. I don’t like the preset temps that you have to hit the up arrow over and over again to reach your temp. I have had it a little over a year and a half and have not gotten use to it yet. Be careful if you lean on the knobs they may turn the gas on and not light causing carbon monoxide to escape (speaking from experience).

The stove arrived on Jun 7 th on schedule The oven has never worked and the right front burner has to be manually lit I contacted customer service the first time the oven error came on and was promised a technician it’s July 3rd and no oven, no technician and no response I’m ready to send it back

Well i got this gas range home and set it up! Then discovered it was set up for propane and not natural gas so i had to go buy a conversion kit to make it work properly! I still don’t have the oven working as it should.

Easy to use gas range. I cook everyday and so far I have had no issues. It’s easy to use, it stays clean, I’ve cooked a lot since getting it so its used a lot. I appreciate the different temps, the options and self cleaning.

This range has a major design flaw. The flame on the front burners periodically goes out when it is set at 4 or below, when you open the oven door. The problem is the lit gas is still flowing, so it shoots up under the black metal top pf the burner and starts to stink like burnt tar. The first time it happened I thought my house was on fire. It took quite sometime to figure out what had happened. I have contacted LG, and they have sent people out to give me a new burner top. IT KEEPS HAPPENING!!! Not all the time, that I check the burner every time I open the oven, but enough that It truly sucks, and my house stinks from the smell. DO NOT BUY this model. I wish that LG would fix this problem, someone could really get hurt.

Fantastic! The front burners are FAST and HOT. After getting things cooking on front burners, it’s sometimes necessary to use rt. rear burner for simming, as front burner will boil hot food even at lowest setting. Oven is evenly heated and does a good job on cookies and cakes. Surprised that this gas oven takes 12 mins to get to 450 for popover (cook 1st 15min at 425, ovens lose 25 deg when opened).
