Bought this along with the matching dryer and my wife loves them. She likes that they are quiet, fit a lot of clothes and that she can link them to her phone so that she gets an alert when the load is done. With so much going on in our day, its easy to forget that you put a load in, but the reminder really helps to stay on top of the laundry.

We tried a different brand that started with SA….. We got rid of it after multiple repairs in less than 2 years. It was loud and walked across the floor. This is the exact opposite! It works well and is amazingly quiet! Great selection of cycles and it will tell you via the app when the clothes are done.

DO NOT PURCHASE!! it worked fine for 5 years. did everything a dryer is supposed to, probably plenty of features that I didn’t fully explore in that time. Then, one day, it won’t tumble. The computer turns on, but nothing happens when I start the cycle. Warranty is up, so LG recommends replacing the console – 3 weeks to get it – no change. LG then recommends changing something else at the tune of $800 – obviously not doing that. LG leaves us hanging with this $2000 paperweight. thanks

This washer is excellent . The only issue is we can’t find matching gas dryer. Best Buy is out of stock, and other major retailers like Home Depot and Lowe’s have discontinued carrying it.

The machine has needed a new water pump after less than 1 year old, but more troublesome is the UE (Unbalanced Error) it throws every 2-3 washes. This is a large 5.2CF washer so it should be designed to hold a large load. We don’t over load it but we do fill it to at least half way. What happens is the machine will nearly complete the cycle and get to the tail end of the spin cycle with approx. 3 minutes remaining then fail with a UE error. Once this occurs, it just sits there until you acknowledge it. You have to press the play button to resume it but it doesn’t actually resume. Even though it says 2-3 minutes remaining it takes more like 20 minutes to complete.
This doesn’t seem too bad but when it happens on approx. every 1/3rd of washes it becomes extremely frustrating.
I have even seen it throw UE errors when hardly anything is in there, just tshirts and shorts (no towels or heavy objects). And yes they were evenly distributed.
I’ve had Geek Squad come out and they replaced the suspension and controller boards and now they say there is nothing else left to change and that it’s improper loading.
All I can say is our old Fisher and Paykel top loader handled the same clothing without issue. So if we are improperly loading this 5.2CF LG, then this machine is garbage.

This was one of the highest rated front loaders on Consumer Reports. It’s a larger capacity than we’ve had before. And it was more expensive than we’ve done in the past. Having said that, it handles heavy bedding nicely and when it spins, it doesn’t walk all over our laundry room. Also we don’t have to do as many loads. So far we’re pretty happy. The only thing I don’t care for is the sliding door to put in soap, bleach, etc. it’s not a big issue, I just think it’s a little much.

Love this washer! Geek Squad explained everything perfectly when they delivered and installed it. The Speed Wash is amazing and the video on TurboWash was really helpful. The machine quality is excellent, it makes very little noise, my clothes are clean, it has a wide variety of settings, and the chime it plays when it’s done is charming. I could not be happier with this product. My only regret is that I didn’t buy the laundry pedestal for small loads.

If u do buy- buy the warranty- 1 yr warranty only…starts breaking down after…not sure how it short circuited causing the main board and noise filter to die. $700 to replace. Bought washer two years ago, March 2021, and it is already broken. Keep getting 0E alarms. Have done all the trouble shooting recommended by company. Still cant fix. Having to manually empty basin with each load by using the the front drain hose.
