It started out a great washer. Clothes were so clean and I loved it until the lid locked shut at 3 years. I called Samsung with absolutely no help from them, there are no service techs in and around Lansing that work on them. I you tubed and I read the manual on how to unlock the lid and nothing worked. I drained the tub and it now sits with a load of laundry. I would not recommend this washing machine. I should have kept my 25 year old whirlpool.

This product totally sucks. I would never on another LG appliance. My clothes were never clean. The washer did not work right from the day that I bought it and the pump seized up in February 1923 and had to be replaced. Needless to say I did not replace it with an LG.

I had this washingmachine for 1 year. I loved it but then it literally destroyed itself. After a load of laundry it literally tore itself apart. looks like someone took a pry bar to it. the drum is broken, the top will not open and the sides are pulled out.

This thing is huge and quiet. Love that I can wash my entire bedding in one load. So glad I switched from a front loader. My knees hated it and with this I get much more comfort in knowing it’s actually cleaning my clothes.

It took me a minute to figure it out. I get kept eric old messages after realize what the problem was. The washing machine worked great apparently when it was installed, they didn’t set the water temperature at the appropriate flow after that was corrected. My washing machine works great. I love it best purchase ever.

The ‘ON’ switch malfunctions once very 5 or so washes. You have to pull out the washer, unplug, reset and plug back in to make it work again. It’s a huge inconvenience and is not covered by the warranty. Not built to last!!

A few months in it started squealing like crazy.. like a belt is slipping but it is direct drive so there is no belt. It has progressively gotten worse and now I am past a year, so poof, coverage gone. Videos online show some pads it could be running on, but the squealing isn’t consistent with the speed or vibration. I made sure it was level and haven’t figured it out yet but it is very frustrating.

This washing machine was a much welcomed addition. It replaced a failed and inferior washing machine. Going from a washing machine with an agitator to one with an impeller has made a world of difference. The extra capacity!!! This also has auto load balancing which is nice. The “smart” abilities of this unit are nice when they work. I find that if it has any sort of wireless hiccup, it will loose signal. Note, I also have a more advanced home internet/network setup – so I am still working out the kinks. Overall, this washer – while expensive – was worth it.

I with this didn’t have a clear lid, because I can see, that even when I select “Water Plus” that there isn’t enough water in the tub. I use powder detergent and I often have dry soap spots on clothes, because the clothes do not entirely get wet. I also don’t like that I can’t leave something to soak for a long time. If I turn of the cycle, it drains the tub, so I have to soak in the sink instead. I also wish it had a sensor to tell you how much soap to add to the load. The salesperson at told me it would sense the necessary water level and detergent level.

Didn’t do a great job of getting clothese clean, but just good enough until it stopped working mid-cycle one day, less than 2 years after purchase. After 5 service calls with an authorized service provider, and full replacement parts installed, it was deemed “unrepairable”.
I wonder if Best Buy will do anything to make it right, given that they sold me a “lemon”?

We’ve had this washer and it’s pairing dryer for just over 2 years, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The washer does a terrible job, despite using the extra rinse mode and trying a variety of detergents, there’s always detergent residue on the clothes, and oftentimes some areas of clothes are still dry! This happens consistently when not even filling the drum half way. We had an LG set for 10 years prior to this and were very happy, which emphasizes our disappointment in how poor the quality is of this model.

I like it well enough, but I really wish I would have gotten a washer with an agitator. If you are looking for something that is going to get those heavy soiled items clean no agitator is not the way to go. It also fills weird. I never know if it has enough or too much water.

This unit does not wash well in the first instance.
It is overall defective in its design and manufacturing I believe. It practically fell apart within 2 years of use, leaking water and flooding the laundry room at every use. Never experienced anything like it. Previous washing machines we used have lasted well over 10 years.
Customer service was very unhelpful, complete waste of time.

Wish I could give this washer negative stars. I absolutely loath it. Purchased the set almost 2 years ago based on the rating of the machine and the million questions I asked the sales rep. I’m now looking to get rid of the washer. Dryer is fine. Clothes do not get clean and every load I’ve done leaves lint all over the clothes (where is it coming from?). I have also notice small holes showing up on clothing. This really should not be happing since the friction is garment on garment. I wanted to see what level of agitation was going so I stood and watched. It barely agitated and I wonder why my clothes aren’t getting clean. You can’t fill the tub with the top open so you can add OxyClean, etc. Any additives other than fabric softener or bleach has to be put it in prior to the cycle starting with the top closed and locked. Any powder you may add does not get dissolved and is left on your clothing. I also don’t agree that the washer is quite. Mine sounds like a semi running through a residential neighborhood. If you want the extra bells and whistles that LG provides, you will be charged an additional monthly fee (I think $6) through the app. I think I paid enough that the app features should be free. I have never had a new appliance that I wanted to chuck out as soon as it was paid off. Complete waste of money. Oh and if you don’t like it and want to return within the 30 days, you have to pay FedEx to pick up and ship. Best Buy does not offer the option of picking up. You also don’t get credit for the difference in price or for the cost of the warranty if you decide you want a model that cost less. So I’ll be kissing 3 years of warranty coverage goodbye.
