We purchased the LG model one step down from this one to save a hundred. Not a good choice. It has a error code that shuts the machine down…It is a known manufacturer defect. Best Buy did right by us and we exchanged it for this model which is awesome. The Turbo function is worth the extra money even if the defect did not exist in the other machine.

Worst machine I’ve ever had. It rips and shreds your clothes. LG repair contractors have tried to fix it 6 times. It still rips clothes. LG refuses to acknowledge its machine is damaging clothes and won’t refund
/replace. I am throwing out this brand new unit because it has caused over $800 of damage to our clothes. It is cheaper to throw this unit in the garbage and buy a different brand. Which is what I’m doing now.

Time will tell how it holds up. Purchased because it was Consumer Reports #1 pick. Taller and Deeper than the Kenmore we had. the Tub is a lot bigger than our old washer so it can handle comforters and two sets of sheets. The preset cycles are really nice, the override options can be hard to see. We have run about 20 loads in the last week and have been very pleased with how well it cleans.

Love the 14 cycle options on this washer and I use them all. So far, I have concerns that my clothes aren’t getting as clean as they used to in my old Miele washer. There are 2 other issues that LG really needs to fix. As many buyers have mentioned, it’s very, very difficult to see the control panel as it is barely lit at all. I have great vision and a super sunny laundry room and I can scarcely see the control options. Half the time I am guessing. If a user had even the slightest vision problems, forget it. They would not be able to see the panel. I cannot understand why LG designed this washer and dryer this way. The other issue is that the trim on the washer and dryer doors is made of some cheap fake chrome (probably plastic?) material that shows finger prints. I have concerns about how well this trim will hold up over the long run. The washer and dryer are both run very quietly, which is a plus. Even with the problems, I would probably buy this washer again. Just hope I don’t develop any vision problems! I was dazzled by how fast and how efficient the delivery process was with Best Buy! I would definitely buy a major appliance from Best Buy again. I live 40 miles from the nearest store and arranged everything on-line. It was a great experience!

I love this washer but buyer beware if you plan to use the child lock. The child lock does not lock the power button…which is right next to all the other buttons. What do kids do? Press every button until something happens. So, in the middle of a wash cycle, my kid shuts the power off, I have to restart it. I cannot go back to mid-cycle where it stopped. Washes great until you toddler turns it off!

Had a LG Washer (from Best Buy) and it worked great for 14 years. However, this new washing machine from LG which has steam technology is absolutely amazing! The steam eliminates the need to put those tablets in the washer on a regular basis to illuminate the smell and the slime from being so old. The tablets would always wreak havoc with my septic system because after the chemicals finished killing the bacteria in the machine it would then go on to kill the bacteria in the septic system which meant rebooting the system.
This new steam technology kills all the bacteria in the clothes & in the machine yet does no harm to my septic system and that alone is a tremendous PLUS!
Suffice to say this machine is awesome! It’s loaded with features Making the job so much easier for my wife and let’s face it, it’s all about making the wife happy :-). Happy wife – happy life!

Very happy with the LG washing machine. It fits perfectly in the space next to my older LG dryer. It replaced an LG that went out after 12 years. Next I will replace the dryer with the matching one. I was happy with the delivery service until they took out the driveway lights and a sprinkler head and then took off without saying anything.

Started to rust just over one year old, located in a very dry part of the home, meaning it is not in a damp basement. probably won’t be long before the entire bottom is rusted out. I am very disappointed with both the WM3900HWA washer, and the DLEX3900W dryer, which makes a loud thumping noise while the drum rotates. The previous LG washer and dryer where over 15 years old, and much better quality.

It started leaking less than a year after purchase. LG continuously ignored my requests for service by claiming the contractor near me would get in touch with me. The contractor never responded and LG did not do anything to help.
DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS THEY ARE AS BAD A SAMSUNG when it comes to honoring warranties.

This front-loading washer replaced my 41 year old Maytag top loading washer. It washes the clothes more thoroughly and gets them cleaner in a gentle way. It has a great many different wash cycle settings that enable me to clean all different types of clothing, sheets, towels, rugs and delicate items without any worry about damage. I enjoy the merry little song that it plays when you turn it on and the song that it plays when it finishes the job. I have had no issues with it during the past 5 months.

I wish there were a 4.5 stars option . . . we love this washer, it has lots of flexibility for different kinds of clothes and other types of loads, it’s easy to use, and we have had no issues with it so far.
My one complaint: It’s loud. I feel like it’s one of the louder washers I’ve had. Part of this may be that we’re in a new house, and sound may travel differently here . . . but I do think it’s just a loud washer.

But sadly after a year of ownership it isn’t nearly as reliable as others I have owned for fractions of the price. Error codes abound and the seamless user experience does not meet expectations for the price point.

Excellent washer, and super quiet while doing a great job washing laundry. This washer has performed flawlessly for over a year. The only issue I encountered was a broken plastic latch. LG tech came out and change it out in less than 10min. He said he had seen this part break on other washer, however, it isn’t a common thing and to not be concerned. It’s been about 9 months since the repair with not further issues.
