What a waste of a money.DO NOT BUY. I’ve had this dryer for just about 1.5 years and have had the drying time for clothes go up and up since day 1. Ive tried all the maintenance you can do to help the machine run optimaly and it runs as optimally as using a blow dryer bought at the dollar store. The clothes take HOURS to dry and it still leaves the clothes damp. And if you want to dry towels it’ll take days. Youre better off hanging your clothes out to dry. Ive called LG and spoke to a representative for them to send out a technician who just told me its working perfectly fine. And still charge me $125 for a “service call”. If I would’ve known this is what “perfectly fine” was then id never have bought this. My entire kitchen is all LG and I expected the washer and dryer to be the same quality, but I was completely wrong. I would return this and get a normal dryer in a heart beat. My previous washer from 1990 was running better than this piece of garbage. Please do not buy this awful dryer, and to the poor soul that does buy it, best of luck and I hope you have the patience for 3+ hour loads consisting of just 3 t shirts and a pair of pants.

DO NOT buy this machine. It works well for a few months but then the dry times start to slowly creep up, even if you follow the upkeep instructions. After one year it was taking 4-5 hours to dry a load and now at 18+ months it can take ten hours, even with just a few items. LG also has the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with and they repeatedly refused to send out a tech to look at it while it was still under warranty.

Still brand new. Only had a chance to do 3 loads so far. Nice looking. Very quiet while in use. Not fast drying but much quicker than the old condensing dryer it replaced. It puts off very little heat to its surroundings which makes me think that it must be efficient. Love the in the drum light!
Not happy with the dial indicator light… my installation puts the dial 6 inches above eye level and this makes the indicator light completely useless. If I stand on a chair the indicator light works perfectly but that isn’t practical.

LG Appliances are high-quality and made to last. The dryer (and the washer it sits on) fit in the space. The two applia-nces are great for rental properties and small spaces. Great warranty (fewer headaches, save $ on repairs). We really prefer LG over GE& other brands.

Unfortunately, there are not enough Heat Pump dryers available to choose from. This is the best one I could find. The only problem with it is that the matching, stackable washer is only 2.4 cubic feet, which is quite small.
Heat pump dryers are great, in my opinion. Not everyone will like them though because they work a bit differently. Instead of a standard convection dryer, which uses massive amounts of power and blows it all outdoors (causing a vacuum in the house and drawing in outside air), which is extremely uneconomical, these Heat Pumps reuse the heat it generates and condenses the water before pumping it to the drain (or collection tank), so no venting is required.
Some may complain because this dryer’s cycle takes more time. Also, if you mix articles that dry fast with those that take more time to dry, the cycle may finish before everything is completely dry (so remove what is dry and add 30 minutes). But clothes do come out dry and soft, not hard and crispy like other dryers. We will also save a lot of money on our electric bill.

We needed a compact washer dryer set for a closet install and these have been perfect. We had the ventless Bosch units in an earlier apartment and had to air dry our clothes after they had been through the dry cycle, with this dryer they come out completely dry (this is definitely in part that we had a vent installed). I love that it uses heat pump technology for a smaller footprint.

This was the only available dryer of this size when we purchased it during the pandemic and we understood that this heat pump technology would take longer to dry than a vented dryer, but it is much longer than we were expecting. We have it in a vacation rental property and have received negative reviews because of it even though we have signage explaining the issue. It can take 3-4 hours to dry 3 beach towels. If drying time is not important, it does have nice features and the Wifi connectivity is great.

Longer dry times and if you aren’t used to it you may think it isn’t fully drying. But it is easier on your clothes and have already seen the quality of my clothes come back. Ventless so it is less hot in my smaller laundry room and no need for dryer vent.

TERRIBLE! Bought a year and half ago and have had nothing but problems! Stopped drying about six months in. LG came out twice, could not fix problem. We thankfully had bought the extended warranty and they came and basically replaced all the parts. After that it worked fine for about 5 months and now it’s back to not drying. LG service is coming on Monday. NEVER AGAIN! Do not buy this model!

The reason I am getting this small ventless dryer is I don’t want to deal with long dryer vent anymore. This small ventless does not take significant longer time to dry several bath tower than vented dryer, and also very quite. Have been used it for more than one month and no issue is found yet.

Love this dryer! It makes so much sense to not be producing more hot air and sending it out into Florida’s heat, especially when your dryer’s exhaust is going out into the vicinity of your A/C unit. This dryer works so well and it’s clear that it causes less wear and tear to your clothes than a conventional dryer.

DO NOT BUY! I never write these reviews but due to the horrible last 11 months, I will make an exception for this dryer. If I could give this dryer a 0, or even negative I would. It has NEVER worked. We purchased it from Best Buy, spent months and months asking LG to repair it. Hanging every load to dry after hours of it running. They kept coming out, running their tests, said everything is fine….I said you can see the clothes hanging, it runs for hours with only two towels or one shirt and it never fully dries. They said they can see that, but since all their equipment says it’s working, there is nothing they can do, they have to label it as “working” and leave. We ended up having to spend $500 more dollars to buy a different dryer, with no reimbursement from LG. If you need a small one, get the Samsung vented dryer that is the same size, it is so much better and I don’t have to deal with LG anymore! DO NOT BUY THIS DRYER!

This so called “dryer” does not dry. It saves a lot of energy and spins for hours, but the clothes are still wet and you will have to hang them around your house to dry. Dont listen to them say “it is because of energy saver setting”. It is not. I tried everything. This is an example of a green technology that does not do its job. Waste of money.

Bought this dryer and it worked fine for 3 weeks. It soon completely stopped drying and heating my clothes. I tried every different kind of load and troubleshooting options but nothing works. Had the same incompetent LG technician “service” the dryer 3 different times but fixed absolutely nothing. LG DOES NOT issue a refund/exchange after selling me a faulty dryer. I have wasted 2 months trying to fix and get this dryer replaced but LG will NOT honor their “10 year warranty.”

I wouldn’t buy this dryer…I thought it would be a good option because it doesn’t require any dryer outlet. Boy was I wrong. It literally takes 4 hours dry a large load and over 2 hours for small load. I have tried every option of drying that I can from the Manuel to get to dry faster. It just sucks!!!!! Its only 4 months old and Best Buy will not replace it. Bummer because I have been a good customer and bought lots of products from them. They are sending someone out to look at it but I just don’t think it’s a good dryer. Would be nice if these large companies could stand by the products they sell!!!

This dryer is a GREAT solution when you cannot plug the vent, or simply do not want to (like us). Less warmth in the environment and great way to dry clothes. Can even recycle the water. Lots of program options but for us, the 48-min cycle does the trick for most of our stuff, including heaby duty towels, sheets and larger items. Recommend!!!

It’s quite while running and I love to have to app on my phone that reminds me long long I have and when the dryer is done. It’s very easy to empty and I would recommend to anyone who needs a ventless dryer.

I have had multiple conversations with customer service to no satisfaction and no resolution. Over 13 phone calls and seven request for a supervisor to contact me in an effort to resolve this. No supervisor ever called me. multiple promises of gift cards for the inconvenience the and incorrect ordering by the store. No gift cards… absolutely horrible customer service. Now I hear nothing from them at all. I purchased elsewhere and that company got it delivered and installed within a week.

Dryer does not dry clothes well and broke down after only 2 years of ownership and light use. Need to replace compressor which is almost as expensive as buying a whole new dryer unit.
