Great screen for home office. MacBook Pro with no issues in operation or setup. Great buy.
iBuyTooMuchTech –
Worth it. Eliminated a multiple monitor setup and productivity has gone up. For screen shares during meetings, I just flip open whichever laptop I’m using and share that screen so that resolves that issue. Seems to scale better in windows than mac but overall its worth it if you’re not too sure.
pastordclift –
For as expensive as it is ($1600), I was really expecting it to be SO much better. The size is good for splitting the screen and wide view, but other than that the resolution is good not great. The controls on the monitor are a PAIN. They pop up unpredictably and are not helpful. To turn it off you have to hold the power button for several seconds. Not a great design at all. I would NOT buy this again.
Lianna –
This monitor is amazing!! I do design work and there is a big difference in the quality. I typically hook up the monitor with my Macbook Pro or my gaming PC and both look equally amazing!

I purchased this monitor to upgrade an old 29” LG widescreen monitor and although it’s pricey I couldn’t be happier. I use a Windows 10 laptop for work and a Mac for personal use and both work seamless. The Thunderbolt connectivity option really helped clean up the desk of all the cords. The colors are vivid, the speakers work well, and it’s easy to use. Very happy with this purchase.
Jewel –
Very useful but pixel density not that great. Good for gaming but not small texts,
Josh –
This monitor is OK but the resolution is too low for my eyes and text isnt as clear as I would hope, i returned this and got the 40″ lg 5k2k and am soo happy I did, using with m1 pro 2021 macbook pro all the scaling options are available for both monitors and IM happy i got the 40″

Stay away! LG fired the quality control team when was working on this monitor.
Otherwise I can’t figure it out how I was able to use this only for 6 hours before developing an image retention effect that doesn’t go away.
Too bad that LG is making some of the best OLED TVs, but their monitors are a totally different story.
Merk –
A tremendous monitor with great refresh rates and brightness.

I had HIGH hopes for this monitor, but it leaves me wondering about how much some of the online reviewers are being paid for their glowing reviews. The black level is great,The colors are vibrant and I like the fact that I can connect this to my MacBook with just a single cable( MUST be a lightning bolt 4 cable -NOT USB C-). But I have already experienced some ghosting of browser pages ( eventually clears up by itself) and the monitor will randomly lose the signal from my MacBook (screen goes blank). For a monitor at this price point there should be no issues whatsoever. Do your research but don’t get drawn into the hype… If theses issues can be fixed by LG this is a 5⭐️ monitor, but for now it only get a generous 4⭐️‘S
m1macmini –
Fantastic monitor paired with my m1 Mac Mini. Using Thunderbolt to drive it.
Lenovocomputer –
Needed a screen where I could open more than one window at a time and not have to go back and forth between windows. Excellent picture quality.
MikeM –
Perfect size for a single monitor setup. You can have two windows side by side without feeling like they are too narrow. I had a 42″ 16:10 monitor and I find that it a bit too tall. I like how everything is right at eye level on this monitor and I don’t have to move my head up and down to see the top. Colors are nice and bright. The high refresh rate makes games feel buttery smooth. The black levels are ok, but not quite as good as something like a QLED and certainly nowhere near OLED. If someone where to make an OLED monitor in this size and resolution, I would buy it.
JKaz –
I prefer 16:9 ratio for my primary monitor. It is a really nice monitor. Looks great and solid functionality.
ArnalA –
Perfect for work and 4k gaming. I love this monitor. Perfect pair with a 3090 GPU.
Frank –
Fell in love with this monitor. Good for productivity
BrianH –
Junk. Quit working after 2 months. Wouldn’t power on. LG is making me ship it for inspection which will take 7-10 days in addition to the shipping time each way. I work from home and I am now going to be without a monitor for a month.

Not everyone can get used to nano coated screens. My eyes had trouble focusing on the screen and it always looks blurry to me especially the text. Probably because of the nano texture, I had to turn the brightness to 15% to even look at it without getting a headache. Plus this monitor doesn’t have enough PPI to work with Mac, so this is really a bad experience for me. Think twice before you buy.
daniel –
perfect for office and makes viewing angles great !
BraveLittleToaster –
Love this monitor. Great view, colors look great as well. I use it for video editing and gaming and it works amazing. If you’re looking for a great ultra-wide for editing video I’d suggest it.
salvadora –
Never been happier! Strongly recommend! Excellent set up
Steph –
Love the color on this screen and sharpness of image.
S001 –
Good match for mac mini or studio. Had the right connection to do a multiple monitor setup with macs.
CLeche –
The monitor in general was great for both business and gaming. The reason for two stars that the Thunderbolt 3 system stopped working 3 months after the warranty expired.
The video signal keeps randomly switching back and forth between laptop and monitor. Tried different cables and different laptops but still did the same thing. I can no longer dock my work laptop which is the whole reason I invested in this expensive monitor.
JohnH –
I’ve really enjoyed this monitor. However, after just crossing the one year mark I’m starting to have issues with the monitor cutting off unexpectedly. I’m also having issues with blurriness which require me to turn it off and back on.
Other than that I’ve greatly enjoyed the wide screen. I can’t imagine going back to a smaller flat screen again.
sqql –
Perfect for media creation, programming, and videoconferences.
EthanG –
Worked great until it didn’t. I use this monitor for gaming and work, during my work day the screen began developing grains and lines running through the entire Monitor. I turned the Monitor off and the image remained on the screen in fainted tone. I really have barely used this product and find it unbelievable it could break with barely any use. Cheap quality.
M0mager –
Extremely happy with my monitor purchase. Can’t believe I waited this long to purchase a curved monitor. Works well with my Dell laptops, and the monitor replaces the two monitors I was using. The LG 38″ is the perfect size.
BoozeCruz –
I use this monitor for gaming and also to work from home. This monitor compaired to other 38” inch gaming monitors, sacrifices some things to be a balance between work and play. You could be even just use this monitor for gaming and its still a really good monitor to save a couple of hundred bucks. After switching from 2 27” inch monitors I’m never going back to regular monitors again.
lousylifepeps –
I’m really liking it so far. The ability to charge your device through the USB-C port is great. Display is crisp and the added vertical height over most 1440p monitor is awesome. 100% recommend.
GaryM –
Over a thousand hours of full time work and hundreds of gaming hours. No issues and great quality and all the input tours and capabilities you could ever ask for. Great work horse to stream movies or browsing the web or dropping in to some of the latest games. Great quality and vivid color.
Some discoloring to back off the panel asking the vent. Went from deep white to brownish or Burt white not sure why it reminds me of quart heated up plastic does over time.
AnnmarieB –
Amazing and impressive. I love my new ultra wide monitor. So much better than dual monitors. I definitely recommend you upgrade to ultra wide. Love the color and clarity.
iPhone14promax –
Really good monitor for gaming but best for movies I’ve seen. Trading is superb, just not great when connecting monitors with lower resolution but overall great.
Tony –
Great quality and perfect viewing for multiple documents open at the same time. The curve screen make reading a large screen easier with reading glasses.
mikeb310 –
Great monitor and using for home office. Good size without being overly large in a small desk. The stand does take up a lot of desk space so I switched to desk mount arm.
Uthad –
Great monitor i enjoy the split screen options and definitely an upgrade from my 10yr old monitor
Mike –
The monitor is great, but after about a year the USB-C port started having issues, then stopped working. There was no apparent reason for this.
ChristopherK –
Best monitor I have ever had for quality and price point.
Ias2010 –
Excellent monitor. it checks all boxes, IPS with thunderbolt port, higher refresh rate. a windows PC with HDMI and MacBook Pro connected via thunderbolt cable supplied by LG, split screens works great in this setup, MacBook Pro is used as extended display. this will be used as work monitor but could be used for occasional gaming, my current PC does not have good graphics card but MBP can do 120 hz refresh rate which is good.
text clarity is great, monitor could get really bright, I have turned on the auto brightness to see how it works, it is not cheap by any means price but it is used 10 hours a day so quality is worth while.
the power supply brick is huge so if one use this on a adjustable desk it requires some area to hide it under the desk, stand is very sturdy and very easy to maneuver, very slick design but it is large and needs lot of disk space, I might install monitor arm but have not decided yet. I am using BenQ monitor light which fits ok without any issue.
LG makes some fine display we own multiple ultra fine displays and vey happy with the performance.
this one highly recommnded
beau –
Honestly. I love this monitor. The IPS screen is beautiful. You can really see the image clearly at any angle. It’s also got the right brightness.
IanS –
I’ve had it for 1 year now. No issues whatsoever. It’s a good monitor, the size is perfect, the refresh rate is great and the motion is smooth. To be fair though, I mostly use it for coding as it allows my IDE to have multiple files open and still see the debugger. I’ve had a larger monitor before, but it was too big and I had to swivel my head too much.
stepasidecitizen –
pretty good thing for work and for games, no issues for 3 years, stable working horse with benefits!
Bestbuycustomer –
Pretty good monitor but expecting a little more for the price. Took a while to play with the swttings to get the quality where i wanted.
TechNoWar –
Beautiful screen with great color and extra room to breath.
MastaC –
Been almost 3 years with this monitor and it’s running strong! The color accuracy is crisp, and using it gaming is wonderful too! The only slight downside is the HDR, it looks a bit washed out, even with the Windows 11 Calibration, but with some settings tuning the SDR looks just like the HDR! The Custom mode oversaturates the colors a bit, but turning down the color saturation from the Six Color setting to 45 for all colors makes this look exactly like an sRGB mode.
Matt –
Not even a month after purchase, a ghost image got stuck on my screen and wouldn’t go away until I unplugged the monitor for an hour. The original image was visible for only a few minutes before the ghosting occurred, and others have reported similar issues on Reddit.
RobertC –
Wish I could have kept this monitor. Worked flawlessly but due to certain circumstances I had to return it. Bad mistake, it was worth every penny.
IzakB –
This is an absolute gem and it makes it easy to work and play video games
DontBuyLGMonitors –
The Thunderbolt would not connect my Macbook Pro to the monitor. I installed all the latest firmware from lg.com. That caused both Thunderbolt and HDMI to not work. LG customer service was clueless. The only advice I got was to unplug and plug in the cable. Turn the computer on and off. Eyeroll. I paid for Geeksquad but could never get ahold of them. Bad experience all around.
JHuynh –
I got this monitor in March 2021. I loved this monitor until it broke today, in January 2024. Vertical lines, flickering, etc. It was $1.6k when I purchased it, and for it to last me less than 3 years of use is disappointing to say the least. No more LG monitors for me.
