1 year on, has been a BIG disappointment. We loved the fridge at first. Silent, Craft Ice, Overall look and feel. HOWEVER, Craft Ice Maker has broken twice in less than a year, and the door water/ice dispenser leaks white powder for no reason (No hard water, and yes LG Filter). You must purchase an extended guarantee, will give trouble.

Awesome refrigerator. It was perfect in my kitchen along with other LG appliances. Great quality and so quiet. I don’t hear the ice making like on a previous (non LG) model. It makes ice regular and I don’t run out unless I have a house full of guests and everyone wants ice lol.

While LG overall is supposed to be a very good brand, this refrigerator intermittently shuts off, ruining a whole refrigerator/freezer full of food each time. By the time a technician can get out there, it’s running again, making it difficult to diagnose what is wrong. Furthermore, your Total Tech Support Plan/Protection Plan will not allow for an even exchange, as the technicians found “nothing wrong” with it. Their definition of “junk” is that a technician replaced parts, the problem happens again, the technician replaces the same parts, and if it happens again, on the third visit it can be declared junk. I have no idea of how other appliance stores work their service department, but I will have second thoughts about using this one again.

We had to get a counter depth refrigerator as a result of space limitations and aesthetics. We originally got the full size LG French door with the additional refrigerated drawer, but had to reduce the size to the counter depth. We gave up a lot of volume but the counter depth is still a great refrigerator. So far it has performed as expected and looks great in the kitchen. The storage capacity is very good for a counter depth size.

Love our new LG counter depth fridge. It has plenty of storage and makes both regular ice and craft ice. It only makes three craft ice at a time but it accumulates quickly never run out. Love it, great purchase and recommend this product.

Good looking but major design flaw, unreliable and noisy.
I think this refrigerator has cemented my feeling that manufacturers attempt to put all the bells and whistles on products has meant they cut corners on quality and reliablility.
This unit looks great, was ideal for the counter depth we needed – it was so hard to find a counter depth we liked. One thing I like is that the ice dispenser is easy to clear when it gets jammed up – which is frequently but the craft ice worked for about a year then was unreliable and now has stopped working at all, for no reason. There is a big waste of space in the freezer section now that we can’t use.
It also has so many unnecessary nooks and crannies that make it hard to keep clean, hope you never have a spill inside as that stuff will stay in there forever.
Also the slim drawer below the crisper should be split, it’s a pain having to open the whole fridge to open it.
We had a Samsung before this and thought it couldn’t get worse. And then I purchased an LG.

I like everything about it except for the ice makers. The ice maker in the door times jams up and stops making ice sometimes. The problem is that ice cubes get “stuck” together and don’t dispense properly and new ones are not made. This is probably due to the ice-maker being in the door and the ice is not kept cold enough to keep the moisture level down. As far as the craft/fancy ice maker in the freezer, it worked briefly (one month). When it did work, it was so loud and the ice balls stuck together that I turned it off after resetting it several times to try and get it working properly. I use the space now as extra storage; so, if you want this feature, don’t bother with this refrigerator and save a lot of money!

I used Consumer Reports (you know… the magazine CR) to find an excellent refrigerator. Yet I am surprised this refrigerator, which was highly recommended, broke… it has not even been a year…. The ice maker stoped working and now the electrician is telling me it is making a shortcut…. That I should call LG asap… just disappointing…

Don’t buy this fridge. It’s very gimmicky. So I got this in May of 2022. Less than a year in the craft ice ball machine would do this obnoxious knocking sound. I made a Best Buy appointment and then it self resolved. Of course after I cancel, the problem came back. So over a year in, I’m getting this checked out again. I also regret buying this model for that see thru glass feature – come the holidays it just means less space for Christmas cards or invitations since there is already limited magnet space about the water dispenser. I wanted to go Lg cause I just felt Samsung is too hyped (plus LG faired better on reviews). But save yourself, don’t get this glass see thru feature. Plus the craft ice machine is known to be problematic from what I’ve found after buying this machine.
