Our ~15 year old GE Cafe refrigerator had a compressor failure so we had to buy a new refrigerator. We need a cabinet depth refrigerator so we looked at our options at Best Buy. This LG provided the best feature set for our needs. We never had a two-drawer refrigerator or a door-in-door feature before, so this would be a new experience for us. So far we are loving these features, especially the 2 drawer feature. It really helps us organize our food better and the door-in-door is really a handy feature for getting drinks and a few other items we store in there. So far it has been great.
We haven’t used the Craft Ice option yet – and not sure when we will. Apparently it takes a long time to make these – like just a few per day – so it would take a lot of advance planning to have a bunch ready for, say, a party at your home. On the regular ice maker, I really like the smaller cubes this model makes versus the larger cubes the GE made. A little thing, for sure, but it’s something I find I really like.
Overall the quality and features have been great and we are very pleased with this refrigerator!

My favorite feature is the vent for the items in the door. Another feature we like is the full-convert drawer. We have it on the freezer setting and it works very well. Capacity is very good for a counter-depth refrigerator.

Love this fridge! The extra drawers for snacks and kiddo items is awesome. The door in door is also a favorite feature. I was afraid with it being smaller than my old fridge in cubic feet that it would limit my storage it is actually well designed and I have plenty of space. I have a garage freezer so the bottom freezer drawer wa adequate.

The ice maker in this refrigerator does not make enough ice to supply a family of four people who need a small to moderate amount of ice on a daily basis. The craft ice maker takes a VERY long time to produce any volume of ice at all,

The ice maker can keep up. The door in door is nice to get to the items we use most. I wasn’t sure about the convertible drawer, but it keeps us from having to open both of the French doors to get to cheese and deli meat. We also like the measured water dispenser although the outlet being in the front is not the best design when you have skinny containers.

This stainless steel beauty sure does shine like a Texas star in my kitchen. Now, that Craft Ice feature? It’s been a godsend for my sweet iced tea sippin’ sessions on the porch. And with the Full-Convert drawer, I reckon I’ve got space for all my BBQ fixin’s and then some. That Door-in-Door adjustable bin? Makes grabbin’ my snacks quicker than a jackrabbit on a hot date! I absolutely love the convertible drawer which I had occasion to easily convert to a freezer section and then a week later to wine cooler extra capacity while stocking up at our daughter’s new home in Texas where we visit in the fall to spring season as snow birds. The installers did a great job with installing in the new construction refrigerator space. It turned out the counter top model we purchased still had to extend out slightly as an adjacent custom oven handle factored as to full open clearance which was not a fault of LG nor the builder. We love the double door which saves energy and is so convenient. Would buy this model hands down again. We are retired and have owned other brands over many years.

I love how versatile this fridge is. I can convert I’ve of the drawers for extra freezer space or just a snack drawer when I finish my frozen veggies. Although it is counter depth, the shape of it doesn’t use the full space to use potential. I would have like to use the fridge containers for better organization but unfortunately I can only use one size. Other than that it is a great fridge and we are in love with the craft ice.

The refrigerator is flexible with having the drawer that can be a freezer or chiller. The door in door feature which I turned into a beverage center. It’s great to have the option so the kids can just grab a drink without having to open the main door.

Great product but both ice makers were not working until I called LG and they guided me how to reset them,. they are working now, The only problem I see is that it makes noise a couple of times every hour. Either the compressor or the defrost mode or something keeps grinding and then stops. I never heard that from any refrigerator I have owned.

Hey there! Just wanted to share with you how much I’m loving my new refrigerator. It’s absolutely awesome! The silver color perfectly matches all my appliances, and the ice machine is a game-changer. I really liked the cube ice it makes. The fridge has a good amount of room, and the separate section that can turn into a freezer is a fantastic feature. Next delivery date, 11/22, item was delivered to address in another state, not the requested shipping address. Next delivery date 12/17, item was not on truck. No one at BB could tell me why. We replaced a 5-yo Samsung fridge that we absolutely HATED! The old one was also counterdepth and had the same door-in-door and drawer features. This fridge uses the same space so much better. People say the craft ice is gimmicky, but we love it and ours comes out mostly clear. The door ice maker actuall freezes the ice too. And there’s plenty of room for fresh cooks like us who buy as we go and hate processed food.
