Super great, easy to use and see pictures haven’t seen for years.
Jennifer –
Easy to use. Scans decent quality images. Light and easy to store away.

I purchased this scanner to copy all of the slides that my parents had taken over the years. It is simple to set up and use and with the preview screen you are able to adjust color and brightness prior to saving to the SD card. I will be trying it out on negatives to digitally archive them. The two draw backs are the SD card, would like to save it directly to the computer, and the color/brightness adjustments, would like a more sensitive control to fine tune the image. All and all it is a product I would recommend.

Wonderful to see precious slides taken 50 years ago on my big screen TV. I am delighted.

Converting hundreds of slides and film strips,. This product makes it easy. Works as advertised.

A little hard to figure out the way to get the slides/film in front of the viewer but it generally works as advertised. Some of the images are cut off though (the entire image doesn’t show on the screen).

This item was not at all what I had thought I’d ordered, and certainly was not what I wanted or needed for my intended purpose. I returned it to the store.
Bill –
Good technology to recover old photos and share with friends and family.
Quality –
Just what I needed for my elderly fathers slides. He is very excited to finally get his slides on his computer.
JMuniz –
Perfect scanner for slides and negatives. Lives up to the reviews on both BB and Amazon

Does the job – sort of. They do not tell you lose almost 20% of your slide – top and bottom get cropped. relatively easy to use. Construction is rather flimsy. It does get them digitized to a SD card. You will need another step to read the card and xfer to a memory stick. Know your application and objective(s) BEFORE deciding

Very user friendly and adequate quality. Color and brightness adjustment could be a bit better but overall a good buy.

This is a suitable scanner for slides. However, inserting the slides is tricky and they move around quite a bit. A redesign on that part of the equipment would be welcome. It’s not the best scanner—the images have to be tweaked on my Mac. But for my purposes it’s fine.

Does what it says it will to meet the minimum 50 characters.
Happy –
Easy to setup and easy move pictures to computer. I don’t like that the slides don’t stay in place and aren’t the easiest to line up.
Russ98 –
Works better than expected. Slides from as far back as 1951 look great. Fairly simple process.

Got for using with old 110 film. Doens’t work well work for 35mm because its not designed to, but you cam make it work.

So easy to use! Large screen to view slides. Slides “slide” through pushed by the next slide. Can choose to scan what is shown on the screen or just push through to the next slide to view. Scan goes to a SD card. Can later save to computer file.

Really nice features and very user friendly! Love it!

My primary complaint with the scanner is the SD card, or lack of one. It includes several adapters, two cables, a cleaning brush, and a printed manual, but the description didn’t make clear that it REQUIRES an SD card and doesn’t include one.
I assumed (I know … my fault for assuming) that since it had a cable to connect it to the computer, you could scan slides directly to the computer. You can’t. Without the $10 SD card, this unit is just a viewer.
Once you have the scanner set up, operation is pretty smooth. Manually feed the slides through and press the scan button when you have each one lined up. After running a batch, tell it to transfer to the computer and it shows up as a flash drive you can copy the files from.
It has some basic adjustments (resolution, brightness), but no flip or rotate, so you if you get a slide upside-down or rotated you either have to take the slide out and put it back in correctly or edit the image on your computer.
Overall, it’s a handy unit. It’s pretty fast if you’re just loading batches of slides.
I had a bunch of old slides with handwritten dates, and in some cases labels. Since it won’t scan directly to the computer (and it doesn’t let you specify filenames), it became a process: Scan a set of slides, copy to computer, then go through each image and change the filename to include the date and/or label.
One other minor complaint: If you set the date on the scanner, it will put that date on all the image files. Cool feature! But I was loading old family pictures from the 1970s and 1980s, and you can’t set the date to that long ago. If the dates matter to you, you have to change them on the computer.
Even still, I managed to load about 350 slides in 3 hours.

Just what I need to digitize my parents slides and negatives. The ability to do some editing of color and light before saving is a bonus.
JLYonkers –
Very easy to use and the pictures scan are clear and good quality. Easy to adjust colors and light.
CropDoctor –
Great item to have if you have years of slides to go over and decide which ones you want pictures from. The ability to say the image to an SD card and later print from PC is fantastic. Recommend to anyone who has slides to view.
SuperSmashBrosUltimate –
Works on Negatives & Slides to JPEG good overall as all in one.
FreedomMom –
It operates beautifully. However, the instructions could be a bit better for us seniors who aren’t as up-to-speed with the technology!
Krutty –
I have scanned over 1000 negatives in the last month. It works great! I recommend getting a 2g sd card or larger.
Canonprinter –
This was just what I needed to download old slides to my computer. It works well with old negatives, too. My only issue was that the directions could have been clearer. I found a Youtube video that demonstrated the scanner which helped.
Wendy –
Love this scanner for all my negative and slide. Easy to use
RobertR –
The Kodak film and slide scanner is great. Not only can you digitize slides and negatives but it also has a rotating display function.
DanE –
I’ve used this to transfer both 135 film negatives and slides. It is easy to use and create a good quality scan. You can make adjustments to the image before uploading it and this does a decent job of it. I haven’t used that feature much since I use Adobe Lightroom to edit and manage photos, but this scanner can get your photos looking pretty good. It comes with a brush that you insert where the adapter goes in. Use it frequently because dust accumulates after a few uses. It is also a very compact scanner and takes up little desk space. I’m fully satisfied with it and recommend it.
JasonB –
I don’t know if I should give this 5 stars or 1 star, so I’ll give it a 3. I’ve tried a few times to get this set up, but it is impossible to read the directions, since they are printed SO small, I can’t even read them with a magnifying glass to get started. I guess I’ll try to scan and print each page and make as big as possible…then I’ll try again. I know I’ll love this unit, once I can figure out how to get started! Anyone already have this unit and using it, any help would greatly be appreciated! Thank You.

I cannot make it work. This is the second view I have purchased.
I need to make an appointment wit Nest Buy to have someone show me how to operate this thing.
MaryP –
Able to scan and download slides and show them on screen to show my 92-year old Mother-In-Law.
BrendaS –
It works great, and it produced clear jpg pictures.
SteveF –
FedEx lost it in shipment. Confirmed they delivered to a business not anyway related to my address nor the same side of the city. Sold out so I had to request a refund.

We have more than a thousand slides and color film negatives dating back to long before the BD (Before Digital) era. Up until now, getting them into the digital scrapbook has always been a total pain until one of our kids recommended the Kodak Film & Slide Scanner.
Aside from its ease of use and excellent clarity, each kid – and grandkid – can have whatever photographic memories that they want, and can store it in their own cloud, disc, drive… whatever.
SeanC –
Simple to use. No computer necessary which is nice.
JudyAA –
I haven’t had a chance to use it yet, because have alot of reading on how to use it, as I don’t want to mess it up, hopefully it’ll work great as i have a bunch of negatives to look through
