These active speakers are truly amazing. If you get them on sale, the price to performance is second to none! The quality of everything in the box speaks for itself. Klipsch really gave a high attention to detail with these speakers from the modern vintage look, the included braided cables, the quality knibd and connections, and thats before even listening to them! Once powered on and connected, these speakers really shine. It’s not even fair to compare them to other bookshelves as these really compete with floorstanders. It would cost way more to get a quality receiver, amp, dac, etc. And a pair of floorstanders that could match what The Nines are capable of. This is all before we have even mentioned THE BASS. The Nines are more than capable of being a standalone system without the need of a subwoofer. Of course if youre a real bass-head and need the whole block to shake then go for an additional subwoofer, but trust me these were shaking my whole house without one. The only reason The Nines get a 9/10 is the lack of a Wifi connection for high quality streaming. Other than that the quality of all the other features and the truly amazing performance make these a No-Brainer. Don’t even hesitate, buy them already.

The sound quality on these are amazing! They ended up sounding so good I had to upgrade my subwoofer as well. I found that my old 12″ Subwoofer was detracting from the sound quality and that the speakers sounded better on their own. The bass boost is nice for music (only use if running these without a sub), but would not recommend for movies as it makes it sounds worse. I ended up pairing these with a new SVS SB-2000 Pro subwoofer and am pleased with the final result.
Just make sure if you plan on purchasing these you are pushing high quality audio through them. If you plan on using Bluetooth or listening to poor quality audio you won’t realize the potential and it might not be worth the cost. I love good sound quality and found myself immersed in songs like never before.
Additional Notes:
– I’m using these on a PC setup.
– Speakers are huge, make sure you measure and space out your setup beforehand.
