Produces very nice mid to high frequencies! It has a surprising amount of lows too, but would sound better with a subwoofer. I have two paired with a Onkyo NR-6100 receiver with a turntable for the input. Would definitely recommend- especially if you can get them on sale.

I own a smaller set of Klipsch speakers that I have had for 40 years and they still rock. These speaker don’t sound as good as my other Klipsch speakers. At higher volumes they sound good but they lack the fuller sound with deeper base I was looking for with these speakers. I guess I’ll need a sub woofer but for this price you would think that wouldn’t be necessary. The speakers do provide clean crisp sound

These kick some serious you know what…After breaking them in and getting everything tuned the way I like it for movies and music, I am more than impressed! Not muddy in the lows like I have seen other reviews. Early on maybe a little, but after about 70 hours of breaking them in they have tightened up and become more dynamic. In my smaller media room these provide a much wider soundstage that I could have expected and man do they make movies and music alike sound insane! Could not be happier! For the price not much will outperform especially at higher volumes!

Man these things sound great the vocals in movies playback are so clear and loud. I don’t have to turn up the volume to hear ppl talking then rush to turn it down when action occurs because its too loud. Nice balance and even takes off stress from my subwoofers

I purchased two of these speakers and they are MONSTERS. You can push these speakers louder than you ever need them to be and still the sound quality is clear without distortion. Great for playing music, movies, really whatever. They have tons of bass which some might want to eq a bit. The build quality is really great, they are pretty heavy and a bit bigger than I thought. Make sure you have the room for them.

First off, these things are HUGE! I replaced a pair of JBL Loft 50 series tower speakers and these are clearly triple the footprint (picture attached of size after unboxing)! BUT, it is a very clear sounding speaker and brings a much larger stage to the front of my room now. It does add a lot more low end that my 10″ JBL sub was decent at, but this has just enhanced it even more. I moved my JBL Loft tower speakers to the back surround positions to replace the smaller JBL Loft bookshelf units and now feel like the Klipsch 98db SPL advantage it has over the much weaker sounding JBL’s (91db SPL) is going to have me looking for new Klipsch speakers for the rear surrounds.
If you’re looking for a solid speaker that you can get into for under $1000 a pair (black Friday/cyber Monday deals), this is a great choice. They are big and heavy (around 50lbs~ each), so measure and make sure they will fit where you plan to put them!

I love the way that these sound. The dual 8inch woofers sound insane and the tweeters get extremely loud while holding a very clear and crisp sound. I would recommend bi-amping for best performance. Truly great for quite music or loud movie watching.

Got them “open box” when someone ordered them, and cancelled the order. They showed up at my local best buy for $380 each. The manager just didnt want them in stock. Absolutely worth every dollar i spent. I had a denon reciever powering them at first, an old 2009 powerful al processing plus. Then i saw the sony an1000 open box for $500, and got the three of them. Absolutely incredible speakers. They took a second of break in, but once they are even semi broken in then sound absolutely unbelievable for the price i paid. Currently have it in a 3.2 simple setup, with definative suber cube subs and polk center channel.

Have 4 800’s connected to Onkyo tx nr 6100. Horn tweeter , mid range and base produce excellent sound. If you like it loud these are for you. Also have the klipsch 820’s. 800’s slightly better. Great speaker for mid range price.

These are awesome speakers I have some speakers that are the reference Premier and they are even more impressive then the reference speakers. However for the price difference you cannot beat.
